this is where all your wonderful applications go, my scrumptious children *** NEW RULE as of Sunday 12/28As of today, cosplays (game, anime, etc. chars) as well as Gaia-item based edits are not allowed for your edited sample, UNLESS you already have one in progress.If you already have a WIP posted or have started a cosplay, go ahead and finish, but no more new ones can be made. The staff has discussed this (belatedly), and agreed that it could make things very complicated in the future, if customers happen to request the same cosplay/character. So please, show us how creative you are by editing your own original Daruma concepts. smile Apologies for this belated rule/announcement!

This second one the line art isn’t mine but it was posted up as just line art for other people to color on deviant art. [x]
This was a banner I made for a guy I was onexone rping with, the original [x] who he wanted it to look more like [x] and how it turned out [x]
If you want more examples of banners just let me know, I have a lot.
Why are you interested in applying at Daruma? Well I’m really interested in working on coloring things. I do a lot of drawing myself, and I’m a hard worker. I can edit no problem in fact I do it a lot when going back and editing some of my art pieces, and it can be a lot of fun. I really enjoy drawing and this will help me get better and I’m working toward something ^_^ Okay I would love to color for you but.... I can't download because of parental controls...I hate to ask for special treatment but do you think you could send me a pic of what you wanted us to draw, I can go from there ^_^ if you don't want to that's fine, I understand.

Why are you interested in applying at Daruma? I love Daruma, everyone on the thread is very cool and sweet and I just want to help and make myself useful! I enjoy coloring when I can, I love matching and making colors all fit together. I may be unable to edit because of the lack in shadowing experience, but I would happily make up for it by taking on as many un-edited Daruma the shop will do. I have time to spare, and plenty of itching need to color these pretty babies. I see no reason for me not to want to join Daruma staff!

I can genuinely say I really like both the staff and regulars at daruma. I've been wanting to work as a colorist for a while but I didn't want to just... join a random shop where I don't know anybody. 8D

Hours spent on Gaia per day:depends on the day and month. When schools not in, say winter holidays I'm on like 5+ hours but during school days around 2+. Weekends are iffy. It changes week to week but I can usually hit more than 3 hours. (This may/may not include time I’m on Photoshop. Usually I do both at the same time but sometimes I’m just on one or the other. However, I do check my gaia account around four times a day.)
Daruma Samples:#1, #2, #3-just a headshot since I realized I didn’t really have any hair edits.
Other Samples:#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 All of these are edited except the first one. The three punks are from base lines so they required extensive editing. #5 I edited in the snow/snowflakes. #6 I did the wings/clouds/earrings
Why are you interested in applying at Daruma? Who isn’t interested in Daruma? Everyone who finds the shop is welcomed; the shop has amazing pets (that are soooo organized. Loved it) that are fun to edit and the concept behind the shop is great too.

Why are you interested in applying at Daruma? Well, I think it's fairly obvious how amazing all the art and storyline ideas are. I think the shop atmosphere is fantastic, and I had been looking for a colourist job on Gaia as it was. Considering that the Daruma shop is one I frequent and participate in regularly, I'd rather work here than a "strange" shop.

They're cute, even if I haven't seen the second stage, AND.....Con works here. She's fun. Even if she's evil. But in a good way. Lol. This is also one of the only shops I stay in for more than like....an hour. I figure I might as well go for it, and get some coloring experience, right? >D
