Fayori shivered slightly as she had to walk through the outer limits of Omnigenus. Why did she accept being called down here by....what was his name again? Someone with a 'T' in his name. Oh goodness, she couldn't even remember, she was so rattled by such a bad part of town. She usually stayed close to the parks, where her apartment was in one of the many skyscrapers, but she'd been called out. Oh, why did she have to have a higher duty to medicine and taking care of people? She didn't know, but this reeked of a place that Cyrus would come to. Generally, if Cyrus went there, Fayori didn't.
She was friends with the guy, but it didn't mean he wasn't bad news most of the time. Usually, if Cy showed up at your door, he was either broke....or running away from something. She usually just hoped it wasn't the latter. Knocking on the door to the address this....Oh yeah, 'Tommy' guy, had given her, she peeked in delicately, some of her purple hair falling into her face and she had to blow it back up.
"Hellooooooo~o, anybody home? I was told to come down here and check you out, whoever you are. My name's Fayori....I was told by some Tommy guy that you needed a check up?" she asked cheerfully. Might as well be just as nice and chipper as she usually was, even if she was technically slumming it right now. She couldn't help that she was the token 'uptown girl' that didn't like the idea of being down here. But oh well. Might as well do her job, who knew? Maybe she'd go catch up with Cyrus later and see if he was out of money yet. She hoped he wasn't, he usually did very illegal things to get money again, and usually came to her to get patched up.
"Oh come on, I don't bite! You can come out and see me can't you?" she laughed, walking in further and looking around, the little star charms on her necklace tinkling softly while she ruffled her wings behind her a little. Nervous habit. "I SAID HELLO, DAMMIT!" she finally resorted to, stomping her foot like a spoiled child not used to not getting her way. Which, she really wasn't. Fayori was sweet and nice, and cute, and definately pretty in the most un-vain way she could be, but she was short-tempered, a little violent when things didn't go her way, and ever so slightly vindictive.

Baph watched the Canis from the shadows of his room. He had been sitting nursing his many wounds when the Canis had shown up. first she had barged in to his room and then said that tommy had sent her. Baph scowled, he didn't want any help from that b*****d, and he told her so.
"If tommy sent you I don't want your help" Baph growled from the darkness. A glint of light flashed off one of baph's many metalic spikes as he moved through what little light was in the room.
he dark form moved to a seat in the corner of the room, pressing a wad of something against one of his more serious cuts on his shoulder. The Sharp metalic scent of blood could be smelled throughout the small apartment showing that contrary to Baph's comments, he had lost quiet a bit of blood.
Grwoling Baph looked up at the Canis still standing in the doorway and Sighed. "Fine, either get in here and help, or go away" he grufly called.

Fayori's ears twitched as she heard a voice, and she turned around, just noticing the smell of blood. She was so used to it in her clinic, from major Engaging injuries that came through, that she hadn't realized at first. It was just a regular old day at work. She gasped softly though as she saw the state this poor guy was in. She quickly drifted over to him, and looked at his shoulder, one of the worst cuts, taking the wad of....was that regular old cotton? Either way, she took it out of his hand, and tsk'd, shaking her head and taking some proper antiseptic gauze from her little case. She bit her lip as she looked at the cut. It was really bad, like, really really make you cringe and feel sorry for him bad. It was then that she finally looked at her patient as she worked. He'd told her to help, but that didn't mean she couldn't covertly notice his looks while she was working.
Her hands automatically started cleaning the wound, dabbing multiple fluids onto the gauze which made the cut bubble. That was a good sign though, germs were being eaten away. Yay for modern medicine. She touched him as gently as she could, and then properly looked out of the corner of her eyes at him. He was pretty good looking for a Tigris. Really good looking actually. He was totally the 'tall, dark, handsome, and bound to get you in trouble' type, just like Cy. Only Cy wasn't as attractive to her. Maybe because she'd grown up with him? Either way, she found his out-of-the-ordinary spikes kind of cool, and she wanted to touch them very badly. Thank the lord she had the excuse of medically helping him. After patching up the arm quickly, setting bandages to it and putting the arm in a sling after cleaning it up, she actually did inspect one of the alluring spikes. She only touched it for a few moments, and she was thankful it was dark so he couldn't see her blush and know it wasn't professional.
"Ah...um....so! What'd you do to get so banged up, big guy? Who are you anyways? I'm Fayori. Cy calls me Fay, though," she laughed nervously, trying to cover up the slight slip in professionalism. Could anyone really BLAME her? She liked the slightly rough ones, even if she was an uptowner. It was also a fact that she was notorious for flirting when she could. She was just abstaining from it at the moment. As she waited for an answer, she moved to a bad cut on his side, moving his other arm so she could get to it, and she knelt down on the ground to see better. She gasped again, putting a delicate hand to her cheek, and sighed, shaking her head.
"I will never understand Engagers....beating up their perfetly handsome, pounce-worthy bodies for absolutely no reason...." she mumbled softly to herself, praying he didn't hear. If he did.....well, that would be awkward, but she'd deal. She kept patching him up quickly though as she waited for an answer. She still had about four cuts to go through though, and then a few scratches to clean up by his face. No one could say she wasn't good at what she did.

Baph Snarled reflexively and fliched away as Fayori began her "tender" Treatment of his wounds. Baph settled down quickly though and grit his teeth through her treatments, while the first bit caught him by surprise it was nothing worse than what he had felt during engagements.
While Fayori was checking baph out, Baph was returning the favor. She wasn't unpleasurable to look at, but it was obvious she didn't spend alot of time out in the outerlimits. There was a naive air about her. One that was more... Optimist than realist.
"my name Is Baphomet. Most people call me Baph, i don't care what you call me." He hissed as Fayori continued her treatment. "and to let you know, this isn't from engaging. Engaging domes have some field around them that when you pass through it completly heals you. You can't be hurt engagin.... but what do you mean Pounce-worthy?" Baph asked, obviously picking up on the quieter question. Long hours fighting in and out of the engaging dome had honed most of his senses to a peak.
with grumbled and hissed protests baph let Fayori continue her treatments of his baddly beaten body. He had planned on making Lohkie help him when he got back, but baph saw no downside to letting a pretty Canis do the work. besides, She obviously knew what she was doing. Last time Lohkie helped Baph had ended up not being able to walk for a week.

Fayori blushed, a huge crimson streak straight across her face as she looked down at one of the cuts on his side. She made sure to put EXTRA pressure on that one for him asking. No one could say she wasn't a little.....antsy when caught in the act. At the moment, the act was being unprofessional and attracted. So his name was Baphomet.....well, that was kind of cool and intimidating at the same time. She liked the nickname. Baph. How cute. It made her smile a little.
"Really? I....I didn't know that about engaging....most of the time street scraps happen and come to me, and they call it engaging too. I don't pay much attention to it, though maybe you've seen Cyrus there? He engages for money a lot...." she sighed, shaking her head. She didn't approve of the practice really. Actually, she didn't approve of engaging in general, since she wasn't really one for fighting. Always the pacifist, she was. Her hands deftly ran over all the cuts and bruises and kept on patching them up as they talked. She found it was always easier to help someone while talking. But, unfortuantely, she'd have to address her slip up some time. Better now than later. "Ah hem....and....you weren't supposed to hear that. 'Pounce-worthy' is just a term I use for.....highly attractive. I don't know why, but rough guys are always somewhat attractive to me. Cy says I have a complex...." she laughed nervously, cocking her head and taking care of the last cut, as she'd taken care of the other two on his side.
She disinfected it, and took out a needle and some surgical thread, wincing a little at having to hurt him to heal him. "I'm not going to lie, Baph....THIS.....is going to hurt. A lot." she warned softly, her voice apollogetic as she threaded the needle and pierced his skin so she could stitch up the wound. It was deep, and if it was just patched up with gauze and surgical glue like the others, it wouldn't heal right. She cringed as she started threading it through his skin, back and forth, until she was done, fully expecting him to scream and rant at her. She had to admit though, for a street engager, and obviously one that got into scraps a lot, he didn't seem like such a bad guy. Sitting back as she put disinfecting gauze over the stitches to let it heal, she pouted at him.
"You never answered me though, big guy....what'd you do to get so banged up then if it wasn't engaging?"

Baph winced and hissed through the worst of the pain. because of his position in Tommies Fixing ring he was regularly beat to a pulp before the Opponent threw the fight. Baph shook his head, "No never came up against an oppenent called Cy, he probably runs the lower Brackets. Easy cash, but less of it." Either that or he was participating in the back ally brawls the ruffians called 'engaging' that Baph tried hard to avoid. In those there were no rules, and anything goes. they were deathtraps if you wernt prepared.
Baph chuckled. "Pounce-worthy, interesting." baph continued to chuckle softly, an edge of sarcasm in his voice. It was obvious he didn't share that view. his chuckle was silenced by a loud hiss as fayori began to stich up his larger cut.
Once Fayori was finished Baph relaxed into his chair, and made a motion that called the lights up into being around teh room. Baph sighed at her last question.
"I have someone I have to protect, He's stupid, and technicly older, but it falls to me to keep him out of trouble, most of the time. Besides, it's better than sacrificing myself for the selfish b*****d tommy."

Fayori blushed and looked away while he laughed sarcastically about the 'pounce-worthy' thing. It wasn't as if she wasn't used to being laughed at or turned down sometimes, since she was. It didn't happen any more or less than it did to anyone else, but for some reason sitting in a room talking with someone who she thought didn't like her and thought the way she thought was stupid bothered her. Now, she didn't know if this was what Baph was REALLY thinking about her, she was just jumping to female conclusions as per usual. But his talk of a 'stupid, technically older' guy he had to protect intrigued her. Her eyes softened and she smiled a little, cocking her head, her charms tinkling again.
"He must mean a lot to you then, huh, big guy? If you hate Tommy so much, then why don't you just leave, Baph? I'm sure you could get a real job somewhere, and I know you must be smart enough to get by on your own if you've made it this far," she assured him, truly interested in his life. She didn't know why, but the guy reminded her of Cyrus. Really tough, really brassy, really rude, but on the whole not a bad guy. She wanted to help him, but she wasn't sure how. Getting up and patting his good shoulder softly, her hand brushed one of his spikes again and she looked at it curiously. "You look so different than most Tigris guys.....not that that's a bad thing......hey. I see no reason that you can't go out and have a good drink now that I've patched you up. In fact, I demand you have one. Doctor's orders," she giggled, winking at him to try and lighten the mood.
He might not like her, but that didn't mean she couldn't be nice and friendly. She took his good hand with both of hers and tugged playfully. Now that her work was done, Fayori saw no reason that she couldn't play and have fun a little. "Besides, who better to protect me and show me around this side of town than a big, tough guy like you, Baph? I wanna hear more about this guy you take care of anyways.....it's interesting."

baph smiles. "alot? hmm i wouldn't put it that way, but we are all we've got right now." Baph stood up and tested the patch job she had done. It was ten times better than either he or lohkie could have done. On the side Baph wondered where tommy could have found someone like this. In short it was kind of refreshing. When she asked about why he didn't leave tommy he sighed.
"It's... complicated." he didn't want to tell her just what Tommy and his gang got up to. but if he left the gang, well tommy would make sure he and Lohkie would pay. "I'm nto in it for myself, it's something I have to do. One day, I'll make sure Tommy pays for what he's done, but for now i just have to bear with it. But i couldn't find good work. not out here, and I don't earn enough to go up into the city. So i find the work I can here, and right now Tommy is the best pay, and protection."
Baph tried not to notice her intrest in his spikes. they were something that he had to live with since the beginning, and had gotten used to it being something that kept him apart from others. Untill now only Lohkie had been able to overlook them, or atleast not see them as something weird, and wrong.
Again Baph was taken off guard when Fayori called him good looking. And then invited him for a drink. usually Baph drank alone, or with Lohkie with his stolen goods. He'd never been asked by anyone to drink with them let alone a good looking girl. "Uh, sure, let's get a drink, just don't pull so hard alright?" Baph smilled slightly and allowed Fayori to lead him out of the room.
"huh, protect might not be the right word, more protect him from himself. There's not much to say about Lohkie, he's an idiot, but atleast he's streetwise."

Fayori giggled at his explanations of his and Lohkie's relationship, but she sombered up a little as she thought about the pure hate in his voice when he talked about Tommy. He really didn't have enough faith in himself, she thought. She also realized that they were being very quiet now as they started walking down outside and on the streets, and that she was still holding his hand. Ah well, they were going out for a drink, so that was a small favor. Haha, now she had bragging rights to all the girls back home that she'd had a date tonight......sorta. If taking your patient out for a drink is a date.......Okay, she didn't really, but they didn't have to know that. Besides, she liked spending time with Baph. She didn't know why, but even if he was rough around the edges, she felt safe around him. She still let his hand go finally though.
"Oh.....so you're saying Tommy will beat you up and hurt the two of you physically and probably financially if you leave, aren't you?" she asked, a kind of disbeleif in her voice. Even if she wasn't as naive' as most people thought she was, she still didn't like admitting that people had the capacity to be so cruel for no reason whatsoever. She was an optimist, and a sweetheart through and through, and wouldn't hurt a fly if she could avoid it.
He seemed uncomfortable though, when she'd touched his spikes, and she tilted her head at this revelation. Why didn't he like them? She thought they were cool. Besides, she knew what it was like to be......different. For god's sake, she had wings and a fluffy tail, and a horn! Sure, she wasn't one of the MOST out there Canis's, but she was up there. She frowned slightly and bit her lip, feeling the wordvomit about to come out of her mouth. "Why do you get this wierd look when I touch your spikes, Baph? I kinda like them, why don't you? I mean, I'm not that normal looking for a Canis either," she spouted forth. Then she groaned softly and ran a hand through her hair, letting it fall back into her face and making it clear she didn't mean to say that. "I'm really sorry....that was rude. I'm prone to bad cases of wordvomit.....I just spew forth whatever it is I'm thinking at the moment, and I can't seem to stop it...." she sighed, shaking her head at herself as she looked for a bar, or a cafe or something like that. Looking around at the crossroads of two streets, she frowned, crossing her arms and cocking her head.
"Well dammit.....Baph, where's a bar or something? I don't know this side of town...." she admitted, looking up at him with an embarssed blush on her face and laughing softly at herself.

Baph shrugged at her comment about tommy, but kept quiet. Beat them up? yeah more than likely they would be lucky to escape with their lives. Tommy wouldn't forgive them ever if his two top money getters abandoned him.
Again Fayori demonstrated her unique ability to say things taht catch him off guard. For a couple of seconds he stayed quiet. then he started talking slowly, probably divulging more info to this canis than he had to anyone other than Lohkie. Maybe it was because she too was different. "My spikes.... Have always made me stand out. They're what made me catch tommy's eye. They're what make me unique, different. they draw stares, some of disgust, some of awe, some of lust. All uncomfortable. I've been stared at mostly in fear for most of my life. These spikes make me look savage, and people expect me to act that way." Baph said coldly before looking back at Fayori. "If they're going to treat me as a savage, then I'll just oblige them till it's too late for them to do anything about me." even tommy wouldn't see it comming. One day, Baph would take him down, and then people would have a reason for fearing Him.
Baph walked in silence for a while, watching fayori from the corner of his eye. When she stopped baph continued on for a couple paces before turning back around. "You mean you invited me out, without knowing where you were going?" Baph asked a little incredulous. "That can get a person killed around here you know." he stated and then though a bit.
"Yeah, there's a couple of dives around here. Nothing fancy though, There's one about a block that way." He said pointing down the east road of the crossroad. "can't remember it's name though, I usually hang around Tommy's bar. But I would prefer to stay away from there right now."

Okay. She knew she was being a dolt, but that didn't mean he had to get all nasty and s**t on her. First off, what was all this 'savage' crap? She had to admit, she was getting pretty mad. It wasn't a good thing to make Fayori mad, since she usually did something stupid and unpredictable when she was. At this point in time, she 'hmphd' loudly once and stomped her way in front of Baph, turning only to slap him soundly across the face. Usually, she wouldn't do that to someone just recovering from all his injuries, but well.....HE WAS BEING AN ALOOF JERK! Didn't she just help him? Shouldn't he be nicer to her?
"WHO THE HELL CARES WHAT CAN, AND CANNOT GET A PERSON KILLED HERE!?!?! DON'T YOU THINK I KNEW THAT WHEN I TOOK THIS JOB!?! I'M NOT TOTALLY STUPID, YOU JERK!" she yelled at him, turning around and crossing her arms in a tiff, her wings fluttering with annoyance. "Does it LOOK like I know my way around here? I'm obviously an up-towner, I'm obviously asking too many questions, and you're OBVIOUSLY being a jerk with all this 'Oh, i'm going to be super dramatic and call myself a savage because that's what people think I am'. Well gues what? I don't think you're a savage. I think you ARE trying to scare me off though, with all this talk about how strange and vicious, and savage you act. Well, I haven't seen any of that nonsense. I've just seen a guy who was hurt, who didn't want me to help but let me help anyways, who's protecting his friend no matter how stupid he is, and who really just needs someone to listen to him and care for once!" she snapped in her mini-rant. With that, she tried to stomp off on her own, being very brave, but very stupid as she usually was when she got mad. All she could do was fume over what a single-minded jerk Baph was being. But all in all, she figured he was an okay jerk. Now how did she get home?
She frowned as she kept walking, leaving Baph who knew how far behind, since she'd just kept on stomping her way through the streets to get away from that. Was it so bad to try and make a guy feel better? Was it so bad to be attracted to someone? Well, apparently it was, since he kept trying to point out how flawed and horrible he was every time she brought up how he wasn't really all that different, and that just because he looked unique didn't mean he was odd. Okay, so maybe she'd KINDA overreacted.....maybe. Especially since she found herself in a creepy little alley, where she couldn't see around the corners and it kinda made her feel really alone and slightly scared. She was still on an angry-high, so she thought 'well, I can take them', but she knew she was wrong and that whole fight-or-flight thing was kicking in and freaking her out.
Something suddenly knocked over a trash can, and Fayori shreiked and fell to the ground, sitting on her backside and squished up into an alcove in the wall, peeking out to see what was there. Oh god, there was some people talking. She was gonna die. She was gonna get raped and die in the Outer Limits. Dear god, why had she come here, even if Tommy had told her he'd pay her handsomely and had in advance to patch a 'friend' up. Oh god, she was gullible. Oh god, even worse.....Baph had been right. And now he had total rights to say "I told you so". Cyrus would've done it, she was sure.
But what could Baph do, really? She'd stomped ahead of him in a random direction and had started wandering aimlessly since she was angry and not thinking. If she ended up dead, it was her own fault. The voices in the alley stopped and Fayori peeked out timidly. Nope. The guys were gone. Now she really was alone. Well, at least she wouldn't die. But now she was scared and lonely, and it was dark in this little alley. But she was terrified to leave in case someone came back that was worse.
"Kyuu.....I'm such an idiot sometimes....I wish Baph were here....things wouldn't be as scary...." she whispered to herself, hugging her knees and folding her little wings close to her to keep them dry. She didn't want to get dirty, but she had to stay in the tiny space. She just hoped someone came for her soon, since she had no idea where she was. She heard a voice again. Was it Baph? Her ears perked up and she stood up, looking around the corner with her head popped out looking for him. It was unlikely, but she was scared and desperate. Her face dropped. Nope. Not Baph. Just some guy with two other guys he was yelling at, but he stopped when he turned and saw her.
"What's a pretty little number like you doin down here, sweets?" he asked, crossing his arms as the other two guys just laid off and kept back. Apparently, this guy was the one in charge. She shivered a little and wished dearly that she hadn't left Baph. The guy laughed, shrugging at her. "I'm not gonna hurt ya, honey. Maybe you'd like to come with my boys and give em a good time, though? They just did a really good job and hauled in a lot of cash right now, so they deserve a reward. Or are ya lost and lookin for someone?" the guy asked. Fayori relaxed a little. He HAD given her a choice, right? She bit her lip and tried hard to look him in the eye.
"I'm looking for Baphomet....I....got mad, and left, and now I'm lost," she answered softly. The guy laughed and looked back at the other two, who were just shaking their heads.
"She's lookin for Baph?! Who'd a thunk he'd ever get a girl around him? He's so strange, and one of the most brutal Engagers Tommy has!" he laughed, looking at her like she was demented for looking for Baph's company when two perfectly fine guys were right there after a fight with their manager. But, true to form, he just brought up what had made her mad in the first place. So she slapped him too.
"DON'T CALL BAPH STRANGE! HE'S PERFECTLY NORMAL, AND I HAPPEN TO LIKE HIS COMPANY WHEN HE'S NOT BEING A JERK!" she huffed, crossing her arms and glaring at him. Okay, probably not the BEST idea, but oh well. It was done. The guy looked at her in disbeleif.
"Ya know what? Baph deserves a nasty little moron like you. Wandering by yourself out here, you high-class priss. You NEVER cross an Engaging ring, sweetheart, not in this town." he growled at her, and presently hit her back. She was shocked beyond beleif. Never had a man struck her. She'd always been taught that men didn't hit girls. Girls, that was different, if you were doing it to knock sense into men. But men hitting girls? That.....was just wrong. Tears gathered up in her eyes as he started walking away, and she put a hand to her cheek, where a red mark was starting to form. It stung like the dickens. She hoped she hadn't hit Baph this hard. She wouldn't blame him for not looking for her if she had. The Engagers left though, and she'd gotten a taste of what life was like here. She thought she quite preferred her cozy apartment.

Baph reeled from the verbal tirade as well as the unexpected slap in the face. what the hell was that for anyways? She had asked the question, If she didn't like the answer then she shouldn't have asked. What the hell did she take him for, of course he wasn't savage, but atleast that reputation kept him safe here. Baph glared after fayori as she stomped off. If she didn't want his company anymore than that was fine. He had no reason to be with her. She had been the one who invited him out for a drink, not the otherway around.
Baph Sighed and shook his head, He had better go after her. She was headed towards a rival gangs territory. there wern't many areas as bad as tommies, but who knew what gang tommy had pissed off recently. OR what they would do to get back at him. With another sigh Baph followed after fayori, wondering why the hell he got stuck with such a damn naive doctor. You would think that working in such a career she would have atleast lost some of her naivety. Maybe she had.... Baph shrugged to himself, it didn't matter to him. But at this point in time she was his doctor, he would need her if any of his wounds didn't heal right.
He didn't expect her to get into too much trouble, she was here under Tommies protection. He just hoped that she remembered that.
Baph passes and ally where a group of rival engagers were arguing amongst themselves. They glared at him as he passed but didn't stop their conversation. Sending a rude gesture their way Bpah continued on. He should find Fayori before she got into too much trouble.
Baph quickly backtracked though when he heard fayori's shouting. He couldn't tell what she was saying, but that was deffinitly her voice. She deffinitly has a set of lungs, damn that girl could yell.
Baph arrived just in time to see and hear the same group fo engagers exiting the ally, one of them was growling over his shoulder. Baph just caught a few words, but he was able to pretty much sum up what had been said.
As the Daruma turned around baph was there in his face. "i didn't quite hear all that, mind repeating it? Just who do I deserve?" Baph asked coldly, a menacing grin on his face. The guy blanched almost sheet white and backed off hastily. running away with his buddies without answer.
Baph sighed, he seemed to be doing that alot these days. he looked down the ally, yup there she was, holding a hand to her cheek. she looked a little shaken but otherwise alright.
"Look, I don't care if you think i'm a jerk, or mean or savage , or brutal. you don't know me, anymore than I know you. A reputation as brutal, savage and mean keeps a me and my friends alive here." he walked over and stood a couple feet away from her. his arms crossed infront of his chest. "Looks like you could use a drink now, if you're still interested It'll be my treat."

Fayori just stood there shocked, until Baph came up to her and started talking. There he was agian, saying he wanted to be known as all those horrible things, when he wasn't really. Tears still threatened to fall in her eyes, and her hand slid off her slightly-red cheek as she leaped into Baph's arms and buried her face into his chest for a good cry. She shouldn't be treated this way! She was a lady dammit! She was high-class, and bred to be better than that scum! But she sniffed and stopped at that thought. That wasn't nice, and it wasn't true. Well....it was, but it wasn't a nice thing to think. Besides....Baph was down here in the slums too, wasn't he? Baph wasn't a bad guy, neither was Cyrus. She vaugely wondered where he was, and sneezed softly and rubbed her nose, wondering if he was talking about her. Looking up to Baph with a hurt childlike look on her face, it looked like she was about to start crying again.
"He hit me! ME! A lady! I didn't even do anything besides tell him you weren't a jerk or a horrible beast, and he hit me! Men shouldn't hit women, it's rude and it's just wrong! Women are pretty flowers to be treasured, that's what I was always taught...." she sniffled, hugging him as if he'd saved her from some kind of deadly dragon that had been about to eat her. She sniffled a few more times, hiccuping too, and wiped her eyes, looking up at him thankfully and shaking her head a little.
"I....I don't think you're a jerk, Baph.....you came to find me. You didn't have to.....but you did," she remarked, truly amazed he'd want to come find her after she'd slapped him. Had she really disrespected Baph like that random guy had to her? Yes. She knew she had. She nodded again, to the last remark and laughed softly, wiping the last of the tears away, her hand coming away to show slightly red eyes. She really was such a princess type, never knowing anything wrong. Never being hurt by anyone. Living in a dreamworld. She understood that a little better now. She'd have to beat Cyrus when she got home, just for being right about her little 'princess-complex' as he called it, even though he enabled her by doting on her.
"I would very much like a drink....thank you."

Baph just couldn't get a handle on this girl. one minute she was screaming at him the other she was crying on his chest. All he could do was shake his head and try and pry himself loose from her vicelike grip. he was pretty certain she was secreting fluids other than tears on his chest.
"look fayori, it's what i've been trying to say to you. out here, down here, however you want to put it. It's a completely different world. Out here you need titles and reputations to stay safe." Baph said, awkwardly trying to find someplace to put his hands, and finally settling on patting fayori on the head. He didn't understand people who pampered girls lie this, but at the same time, she kinda asked for it.
"alright then a drink it is, just as soon as you let go of me" baph said chuckling softly. "we'll have to backtrack a bit more but there's a bar around here back in tommies territory. it'll be safer there, and cheaper." Baph let a small smile escape on his lips. "besides there's benifits to having a 'savage' reputation."

Fayori brightened significantly as she saw Baph crack a small smile. It made her smile too, cocking her head and sniffing one last time, wiping the last of the tears from her eyes and nodding. Yes, being around Baph was much nicer than being around anybody else in this neighborhood. She latched onto his arm and kept looking around like a skitzo on Red Bull making sure that nobody was around them. It made her a little uncomfortable now to be out of Baph's reach and/or sight. Either way, a drink sounded really nice.
Looking up to Baph, she wondered what was the real side of him. The nice side that was taking care of her even though she'd been horrible to him, or the rough guy who didn't seem to care much about anyone if it wasn't for convinience and who wanted to be known as an outcast. Maybe they both were. It confused her to no end that he couldn't just pick one, but oh well. She couldn't talk, she was calm and sweet one moment, and vindictive and judgemental and screaming the next. But she was a woman, she was allowed to have mood swings, right? It was like.....her right. She figured it was like a cosmic reward for having to go through childbirth one day. As they walked, she wondered how Cyrus was doing. Was he alright down here? She'd seen him leave earlier today, and he usually came to the slums. For some reason he wasn't quite as at home as she was in the nice part of town. Hm. Wonder why? Oh well, she'd just have to break him of that eventually. It wasn't like he didn't dote on her and completely enable her princess attitude.
"Baphomet.....thank you. For taking care of me. And for getting me a drink, especially when it was my idea in the first place. Forgive me for being so......stubborn, I suppose. Or spoiled, that seems more appropriate...." she sighed, rubbing her temples while still clinging onto him. As she walked with him in silence, she looked him over again, checking to make sure she wasn't overtaxing his wounds. They seemed fine, but when they got back, they'd need to check on them again. Just to make sure. Then she could leave.
Well. That left a sour note in her mind. She knew she wanted to go home soon, but part of her liked staying with Baph. He helped her understand Cyrus immensely, even if she had known the guy all her life. He also helped her understand....life, really. Or, at least a life not quite as innocent and rosy as hers. Things were not always as she'd been taught they were, like they were in the nicer districts. But then again, what was ever what she thought it was apparently? She'd seemed to be wrong about quite a few things lately. Her little phone rang, and she went to her side where it was latched safely, holding it to her ear. She frowned. She knew this voice.
"Cyrus. Cyrus, calm down. No, no wait, tell me what's wrong..............okaaaaaay.......well you took him home didn't you? ............Alright then. All he needs is a sling to go on his leg, and you need to massage some of that ointment that I keep for you on the top shelf of my home office's cabinets........yes, I'm sure, Cy. Oh, will you stop being a baby, I don't care how innocent he sounds, it's not like you're gonna rape him! Please, grow up, Cyrus. I swear, I leave you alone for ten minutes and you're causing trouble........fine, hate you too. Now go take care of him, you....you.....moron." she scolded, helping Cyrus with his own problem on the other end of the line, and snapping the phone closed quickly as she finished so she wouldn't have to hear the comeback that Cyrus was sure to come up with. Looking over to Baphomet, she laughed softly and blushed.
"Sorry.....Cyrus seemed to have picked himself up a.....houseguest, for lack of better words. I can never really keep track of him," she tried explaining herself, trying to make the situation a little less awkward.
