The large male yawned, laying down on the ground comfortably. He had decided that this pride, Simbafutagi, was almost perfect... But will he get accepted? Jasiri'ka looked up, and in front of him, he could view the sea; waves crashing in, before moving back to join its main body of water. How huge the sea must be... Probably even much larger than the whole of the plains!
He flicked his tail and yawned again; although staring at the waves moving in and out have a calming effect on the lion, it made him sleepy as well. Letting out yet another yawn, Jasiri'ka laid his head on his front paws and closed his eyes, tucking in his tail at his side.
A short nap wouldn't hurt!

Udo had wandering feet again. So his adoptive mother told him. He didn't care what it was called, he wanted to get out again and wander. He was starting to get braver, wandering around by himself. However he was still afraid of the dark. That just made him nervous to no ends. He hated the dark, after his sister was taken away from him. He still felt guilty to no ends, but slowly he was learning how to cope but he still wanted to find her.
Something caught his attention as he walked. It made him arch a brow then c**k his head to the side before pausing where he was. "Hey! Are you dead?" He called out, Some worry did go through his body. Did he come across a dead body? He made a face before sighing through his nose, slowly moving forward and nudging the male.

Jasiri'ka let out a groan as he felt something prodding his body. It didn't hurt or anything, but it did wake him up from his not-so-deep slumber. Rolling over to the side that wasn't poked, the male let out a yawn before scrambling up on all fours. Stretching himself to loosen his muscles, the male opened his eyes, blinking to adjust to the light and the glare of the sun'd reflection on the seas.
"Huh, dead? What?"
The lion turned to face the one who had disturbed his rest, and tilted his head to a side, a confused look on his features.
"Hello...?"

Udo'Tau almost jumpped out of his skin when he heard a groan. Instead he stumbled back, almost loosing his footing as he did. His eyes widened and his hair stood up on end. But when he heard a yawn he calmed down the male was just sleeping not dead. But this lion was bigger than him and he wasn't that sure how he felt about waking up this slumbering lion.
"I'm sorry!" He made a small face before giving a swift bow, his adoptive mother told him to respect his elders. He did, he lived by what she said, she did take him in...
"I thought you were dead, I'm very sorry, just curious." He laughed slightly mainly at himself, his ears flattening against his head as he looked at the male. He was truely sorry for what he did. He sighed softly then gave the male a guitly smile.

The male let out a laugh at the younger lion's reason of waking him up; when he grew up, his laugh changed from being high pitched and squeaky to deep and louder, but it was still a nice sort of laugh - warm and friendly. Turing his whole body to face the smaller male, Jasiri'ka gave him a grin and a forgiving nod.
"I have to admit that you only meant well!"
He bowed back, and smiled. Sitting down on his haunches, the older male turned away to face the sea for a moment, taking in the smell of the salty air, enjoying the breezing gently playing with his mane. Turning back to face the other lion, he continued, "But since I'm awake now... Might as well introduce myself. I'm Jasiri'ka, but you may call me Jasiri."

Udo relaxed some when he heard the male laugh, it made him feel better. There is no way in the world that any unfriendly lion could sound like that. Yet still at the same time he was still a little nervous about this male. But he was still feeling better. He smiled softly and flicked his tail behind him.
He then nodded he did mean well. when the male introduced himself he nodded to him a soft smile growing on his face. "Its nice to meet you Jasiri." He didn't sit, he wasn't up for that he was still a little nervous about the male.
"My name is Udo'Tau, you can call me Udo." He laughed slightly before sitting back. "Where did you come from?" He asked a little quietly but he could have sworn he had seen this male some where before.

"Udo... Your name sounds somewhat familiar," The lion mused out loud, but before he could continue, his thoughts were interrupted by the question given to him. Looking surprised for a moment, Jasiri'ka shook his head slowly and tilted his head slightly, "Where did I come from... That's a tough question."
The male let out a nervous, almost awkward, laugh and looked upwards, wondering how he was supposed to answer that. He never had any one 'home', even as a cub. He was born a rogue, and is still pretty much a rogue, although he is trying to settle down due to not only his leg injury, but due to age as well. Although he was still a pretty young adult, it was time to think about his future... Hey, he was growing up!
Jasiri'ka smiled gently, "I guess you can say that I came from the rogue lands, Udo... Hm, Udo... Wait, I think Siti mentioned you..." The male flattened his ears on his skull as he tried to think harder.
"Wait... Ah, are you Siti's son? The one who gave her a beautiful shell?"

Udo'Tau was slightly surprised when the older male said that he had heard his name before. He shrugged it off they were close the Simba lands where he came from. He could understand if maybe he had heard of him. Udo was sure, himself, that he had seen this male wandering around here before.
"Ah, I also came from the rouge lands, with my sister..." His voice trailed, however he was glad that the male was already talking about something else. His ear's perked up when he heard his adoptive mother's name then a smile grew on his maw.
"Yes I am. Well I'm adopted." He chuckled slightly, flicking his small 'mane' out of his eyes. "Yes I did, I found it over in the water." He grinned proud of himself. "So you have met my mother?" He arched a small brow, a nice one of course. He knew his mother still wandered around. He always wanted her to be carefull and hoped that she would be, her wandering around and talking to strange males, then again this one seemed pretty nice..

"Ah, well, yes I have," The male replied with a smile, remembering their meeting a while back. She was a pretty nice lioness, and he recalled how she kept talking about her children. Hearing that Udo was adopted, Jasiri'ka looked a little surprise, but quickly recovered. She did mention that she only gave birth to one litter, so it was logical. "She couldn't help mentioning you and her other children when we were talking... She really loves the lot if you."
Seeing that Udo seemed uncomfortable talking about his sister and their past, Jasiri'ka thought it better not to ask.
Letting out a soft laugh, the lion nodded, "The truth is I went up to Siti to compliment her seashell necklace... It caught my eye while I was wandering these lands. I found a seashell I liked when I was younger, but I never found a way to bring it along with me on my travels."

Udo'Tau smile softly and nodded to him, he knew that Siti really cared for all of them he had never met anyone as caring as her, and still he was very glad to have met her and for her to take him in. "Yes she is very sweet, takes care of all of us, I'm not the only adopted one, there is another of my siblings that are adopted."
At the males next comment he chuckled he couldn't help not to. That was when he was younger, but he was kind of glad that he gave it to her, close to his coloring, that was when he showed that he trusted her. "Ah, yes. It was something I found and really liked it, she did too." He laughed slightly once more before sitting back on his haunches for a moment. "If you really like it then you should be able to find one, they are quite easy to find, just find a lake, or even go hunt down the ocean, its not that far off." He laughed slightly his tone still very friendly. He was glad that he didn't say anything more to his comment about his sister, he was always trying not to think about her too much until he was old enough to go off on his own for a bit and find her himself.

"Well, yeah," Jasiri'ka replied with a laugh, nodding in agreement with Udo's comment about how easy it would be to find a beautiful seashell. "However, when I was younger... Well, it refers to the time before I found my father, when I was just a cub. Ever since I tripped and fell into a river and lost my father only days after finding him, the then just juvenile me was focused only on the task of finding my way back and returning to his side."
Pausing for a few seconds, he took in a deep breath and grinned, shaking his head slowly, "However, as you can see, I never did find him or my way back to wherever I was. Still, the experience of sleeping with him under the stars... Watching him hunt for meals and the feast we would have after... It was all worth it, and I'll never forget those short days we spent together. I've more or less given up finding my way back, but it'll be nice for sure! Still, I don't mind settling down and well... Uh... Cubs?"
The male blushed, the word 'cubs' came out a little higher-pitched than normal, and he stared at the ground awkwardly for a moment before looking up and offering Udo a small smile. He still can't talk about mates or cubs without feeling weird about it, no matter how hard he tried.

Udo'tau was about to say something more until the male started talking, then he listened carefully. Nodding at times. He knew the feeling. Once his sister was taken from him he remembered running, calling her name for her to keep up but he didn't know that all along she wasn't behind him. He wandered around lost for the next few days, wandering around in the forest when the sun was at its highest, wandering around the area, then after a while he just... gave up. Siti found him. Now here he was. Don't get him wrong though, he always wondered about his sister.
"I know the feeling. Those memories..." His voice trailed and then he cleared his throat, shaking his head himself, letting out a light laugh, a slightly nervous one. But when the male pretty much squeaked at the word 'cubs' Udo couldn't help but to chuckle slightly. "They aren't bad. I watch my siblings some times, not bad at all." He gave the male a smile. He couldn't have kids. He knew it, deep in his gut, he couldn't have kids. It was because of his hybrid-ness, or at least he was sure of it. He wouldn't mind kids, and some times the thought of it bothered him...

"Well, its not cubs that frighten me. They can be pretty fun... Its the, well... The..." His voice trailed off, unable to find a description for his cub-phobia. Sighing, he male shook his head and let out a laugh. Grinning, he continued with a slight blush, "Well, I can't explain it! I think its just that I need more time to think about the whole cub and mate thing."
He looked to the sea, musing out loud, "I often wondered what my life would be like, if someone had adopted me while I was looking for my father after my mother was taken away from me. Or after I've lost my father and trying to find him again."
The lion turned back to look at Udo, and laughed, "I think I would have escaped somehow from my new parents when I'm old enough, and go looking for my birth parents, knowing the me back then. That or I'll have a great cubhood with them... Parents are a life changing force too, I think. I know my mother had a huge impact on me, even though I was small at that time... And my father inspired me to do a lot of things. I guess cubs are not the only one that changes the life of others... Like how Siti sort of changed yours while you affected hers?"

Udo'Tau chuckled slightly and flicked his hair out of his eyes, shaking his head. "Ah, family is a scary thing, if you have spent most of your life with little or no family... The idea of family is scary, that could really be half of it." He smiled at the male, it was true, when he first met Siti he didn't want to call her 'mom'. It scared him, made him feel like that he wasn't going ever think about his sister again or see her. It made him feel horrible, he still felt bad about not finding her.
When the male started talking again it made him think. He spent most of his cub hood, wandering around at night with his sister, both of them surviving the best they could. Having a lot of fun, playing around thinking life wouldn't get bad. They were on their, own, yes they had a family but they didn't want to have anything to do with them... Or Udo didn't. Made him feel worse, like he tore his sister away from her protection.
"Well... I have to say that she did." He chuckled as he thought. "She took care of me really good... She still does, she helped me through what happened to my sister... But... I changed after she was gone." He cleared his throat. "I don't stay up all night anymore." He chuckled softly, then agian that was also because of his fear of the dark now. He shrugged again. "Yeah she changed me a lot. Then again she is very good, a wonderful mother."

"Yeah, maybe I'm just afraid that my cubs would end up like me, if anything ever happened to me and my mate... I want them to grow up knowing what family means," Jasiri'ka smiled, a hint of sadness in his voice. Turning back to face the sea, his thoughts drifting back to his own mother and father; however, the mention of Udo's sister jolted the adult back to reality, and he flicked his tail in mild curiosity.
"Your sister... Did you lose her?" He asked softly, hoping Udo wouldn't mind the question.
