~Chapter 1~

Well, finally its time.
High school graduation.
I'm told that it is one of the best times of someone's life. But I don't see it. To me, I'm in just any ordinary group gathering with the other people of my age. I mean I guess I would have thought it as one of the greatest times of my life, but since I'm gathered around all these other, used to be students at Atkins High School and their sobbing families, I just feel empty. I don't have a family since mine was involved in a car accident when I was eight, and no one else in the family wanted me so they sent me to an adoption. So now I live at a foster home with nine other foster children, hoping someone would want me, but of course they always choose the youngest ones. My foster family is nice, don't get me wrong, but I have never felt like I could truly belong there.

So here I am, at the gym of my school. There is only about 400 students at Atkins High and there are only 78 senior students, including myself, graduating this year. Instead of paying attention to all the boring speeches that are being given, I decided to gaze around the gym a bit. All around me were the students that were graduating with me, all in black and red graduation gowns, our seats in in rows of ten, or for the last row, eight. The floor was covered in a soft cotton material to avoid any damage the fold out chairs could do to it. Underneath it was the Atkins mascot, The red devil painted onto the basketball court wood floors. In front of me was the podium where the speeches were being given, beautiful arrangements of flowers on either side, and a cloth covered table aligned in front of it. It had all 78 diplomas on it awaiting to be handed to its owner. At my right, in few feet from the table was a camera set up with the male photographer snapping away throughout the whole ceremony. To the left, was the band that played the graduation song and would probably play again when all of this ends, and almost every section of the bleachers were covered in would be onlooking parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, and other family members.

The speeches all ended and the principal, Principle Nolan, then tells the front row to rise which he then begins calling out names, last names first, of students in alphabetical order. After the front row had all stood up, the first student, I knew her name was Lauren Anderson, began to walk out the left side of the row, the other students moving down one chair, and she walked up to Principal Nolan, shaking his right hand and grabbing the diploma in the left, the photographer making sure to get a shot of it. Lauren then made her way back to the right side of the row of chairs, and the next student was called to do the exact same thing. Once all the students in the front row had finished, he called for my row to rise as well. Two students went before me before I heard my name.

"
Lilian Angel Durant," I looked up at Principal Nolan as he called my name. Like all the others in front of me, I walked up there, shook his hand, and then took my diploma, making sure to stop at the corner of the gym to have my picture taken by the very enthusiastic photographer. Then of course I go in the right side of my row and stand until I'm able to sit in my chair again. So boring. After everyone finally got their diplomas, the Principle Nolan said a few more words before the band began to play again and everyone stood up to cheer and throw their hats, all the families then began to swarm on the gym floor then, including my foster parents.

"
Oh I am so proud of you!" My foster mother, Catherine, squeals as she comes to hug me. She was a tall, blond and slender woman who reminds me a little bit of Barbie to be honest. Today she wore a very pretty floral skirt, and a nice plain red shirt. I never really pay any attention to her, but today I could see that she was beaming with the sparkly white teeth of hers and standing beside her husband Jerald, who stood there quietly, his dark hair still a bit messy even though Catherine had combed it to death before coming here. He had worn a business suit since he wears one of those everyday because of his job; he's a director of a company that creates new items, you know like the "Clap on" lamps.

I watched as Catherine held onto his arm and she said, of course still all beaming, "
So now we are going to take you home for your party!"

I stare at her for a second before muttering, "okay," and then head in the direction of the door, both of them following me happily, well Catherine was happy, Jerald just had other things to do so he found it more of a nuisance.

I stared up at the white, two story house when we got there, loud sounds coming from within. When I entered, I found that there was no party since the other foster children decided to destroy the decorations and cake while my graduation was going on, so they were all running about like little hellions throughout the house, covered in cake, and still wreaking havoc on everything else. Catherine and Jerald began scolding them and everything like what normally happens. No one really ever gets into trouble here, even if someone were to break a tv or whatnot.

"I'm going upstairs to change and then I'm going for a walk for a while," I shouted as the mayhem continued, unfazed. There was no answer so I just headed up to my room and took the graduation uniform off, as well as change into some blue jeans and a plain green tee. Several crashes resounded throughout the house as, I'm guessing, some dishes were broken in the kitchen. I grabbed my pure black jacket off my desk chair, and headed out the door without uttering another word to them, and walked down the sidewalk of the street. Walking was boring like everything else was. Nothing really new ever happened in this town and everyone knew everything about everyone else. No secrets were kept.

I stared up at the twinkling star lit sky, not really paying attention to where I was going, until I stood in front of the most peculiar shop. I don't recall it ever being there at all, which was weird because it was like it had suddenly appeared out of no where. The outside looked worn down, and by looks of it, it had been empty for a long time. Some of its bricks had intricate designs of graffiti, and all the windows had been completely boarded up, the sign, unreadable and almost falling off its hinges. For some reason, I felt as if I want to enter it, even though it obviously looks as if it could collapse at any moment. I reached for the handle of the worn out door and it opens without me touching it all.

"Creepy," I muttered and entered into its depths. It was quite dark, but a strange light illuminated from the back portion of the shop. Intrigued, I decided to see where the source of light was coming from. All around me were rows and rows of dust caked shelves, many making aisles to walk up and down, the rest, lining the walls. Interesting and old looking trinkets covered just about every surface. I stumbled over some unknown object in the dim light, and the bright light I had been watching moved towards me. Frozen, I couldn't help but stare at the light, since it had become a small floating orb directly in front of my face. It was rainbow in color and had no definite shape that held its form; it was just a rainbow, glowing orb, with little flakes of rainbow dust fluttering off around it.

I bolted backwards a few steps when the orb began to speak to me, "
Hello and welcome, hehe," Now I recognized what it was, but it can't be what it was. Fairies should not exist. All I'm able to do is stare at it, wide eyed, as it continued speaking to me. "Shall I take you to a new world? It is not another world, but merely the future of this one. Would you like to see the future?"

All I could do was nod, completely unable to speak.

'
Hehe. What an adventure that shall begin for you now!" The fairy seemed to sing with joy as it began spinning around my head. Suddenly I was blinded by extremely bright light, and all I could hear was the fairy's voice. "Oh yeah, before I forget" Its voice rings in my ear. "The world is a dangerous place, and once you arrive in my world, you can not return to this one. Hehehe..." Its voice fades away, and then, I'm consumed by what looks as if it is an eternal darkness.

“Yo FenFen, awesome work on that guy!” the annoying voice of the Knat, Skyler, ringing in my ears as I stood over the unconscious body of who was once my “boss,” not that he really was since we were under cover to catch him in the act of his crime, all the same I glared at him. The b*****d was pretty easy to take care of too compared to some of the other Daemon I have encountered. I glared still, making sure he was indeed unconscious and the giving him a good kick with the Fallen body I now possessed before saying, “Yeah. He was a bit too easy to take care of and I was expecting more of a challenge from this damn b*****d after all the trouble he has been causing.”

“Yes, he was indeed quite inconsiderably easy, although him running was a bit of a challenge to catch.” I heard Riko say and Skyler’s laughter.

“Yeah, but not too bad since we have FenFen, RiRi. You are just too slow.” I turned to face them then and saw Riko and Skyler, both also looking like Fallen just like I was. Riko had very short, spiky blonde hair and yellow reptilian like eyes. His feathered white wings spread out as he stood, arms crossed, and glaring at Skyler with his sharp dagger-like teeth bare. “Shut up Skyler.”

I looked to Skyler who was grinning at Riko and just stood there calmly, white wings spread out in a similar manner, and his long black hair swayed gently behind him in a long braid that reached about the middle of his back.
“Sure sure RiRi,” he said snickering before snapping his fingers and Riko and I returned to our normal forms, our rock band clothing shredding to bits before landing at our paws. Skyler remained still in his Fallen transformation, probably to lure human women to a bed. What a b*****d, toying with women the way he does and doesn’t even tell them he isn’t even human, or even remotely similar to human.

“Angela is coming so she’ll be here shortly with some guards.”
I looked down at Skyler as he said it since then I was back to my original height, which was quite a bit larger than humans, or even the mutated versions as well. I swayed my long tail lightly before going down the alleyway to the end to make sure there weren’t any more of the Daemon’s henchmen left that might attack any of us to rescue the supplier of their cash. I scanned the street and sure enough, Skyler was right, Angela was indeed already swiftly moving in our direction. “Yeah, she’s already here.” I turned to Riko who had decided to follow me and sit out in the cobblestone street. His fur was salmon and white, the salmon dominating most of his back and head while the white was on his face. There was a blonde stripe that went down his back and made his tail blonde and his entire body was covered in intricate blonde, white, and salmon swirls.

I watched as he looked up at Angela who asked him where the Daemon was.

“He is in the alleyway with Skyler,” Riko said as he motioned with a paw in the direction behind us.

Angela spoke very clearly to her guards,
“Seize and bind him, and take him to Morvian Prison.”

I gazed around as the guards said
“Yes my Lady!” and zoomed into the alleyway binding the now Daemon prisoner with magic and practically dragging him before flying off, using their pure white feathered wings to disappear into the clouds above.

“Very outstanding job in your mission you three,” Angela beamed as she looked at us with those blue eyes of hers and her short hair swaying lightly as she moved toward Riko and I.

“No prob Angela,”
Skyler's voice was now heard directly beside me. “so any other missions for us.”

She grinned at Skyler,
“Not at all. You three are free to be on your way then.”

“Sweeeeet,”
Skyler walked out into the middle of the street and lightly saluted while grinning. “Later then!” He jumped up and landed on the nearest building before running off to probably find women I’m sure. What a b*****d.

“Awesome, so then I’ll leave as well. Got some things to do.”
Riko muttered sounding rather bored and wandered off down the street leaving just Angela and myself alone.

“Those two sure don’t stick around long do they Isaac?”

“Never. Riko probably has some experimentations of some sort I’m sure, and Skyler just goes after women,” I looked at her and watched as she pursed her lips about Skyler.

“He should never do that.”

“Well he does and nothing will ever change his behavior. You know as well as I do.”

“Yes this is true,”
She nodded before turning and beginning to head back in the direction she came. “You coming back with me to Asea Valley Isaac?”

I shrugged and walked forward, following her, “Might as well.”
We reached the Asea Valley gateway in no time, even if it was on foot and there was a vast forest that we had had to go through. For any human, it would’ve normally taken several days to run and many more to walk. They were such pathetic creatures, always getting into trouble, always causing disturbances, and they didn’t even live very long lives. They were all so rather annoying.

I watched as Angela walked through the archway which allowed her to go through Asea Valley’s barrier and I followed behind, feeling the cold magic rippling across my body as I went to the other side. There was nothing but lush grass and more trees all around us as we both continued our trek to, I’m sure, her castle. Angela suddenly came to a halt though in front of me and I stopped and stared at her before asking, “Something wrong?”
She didn’t seem to notice me at all any more and quickly ran off into the trees to my left. I followed close behind, dodging trees and underbrush effortlessly until I came to a clearing with her and paused staring out into the middle of the enclosure. Oh damn not another one.

“Are you awake human?” a voice sounded quite clear in my ears. I felt what seemed to feel like grass brushing against me and my hair and clothing rustle from a breeze. Where am I? The last thing I remember was… that rainbow fairy. I was in a shop, but now I feel grass. Where am I? I thought as I still laid there unable to move and still a bit unconscious. Slowly though, I felt my senses returning to me from the darkness.

“Keldry, why have you brought another one here?”
the same voice before asked.

“Hehe. Its fun Lady Angela,” I recognized the rainbow fairy answering the other.

A heavy and soft object then rested against my forehead, soft fur gently brushing against my skin.

“She doesn’t have a fever like some of the others you have brought here,”
I heard a deep and crystal clear voice say right beside me, “Should I wake her up?”

“Please do so Isaac,”

I felt warmth begin from my forehead and make its way down to my toes, and I blinked from my eyes no longer being heavy and realized that it was a paw on my forehead and the owner of the paw was a huge creature I had never seen before. I blinked again before getting up so quickly that the creature was knocked backwards, shrieked, and I scooted as far away as possible to lean against a tree and pointed at it. “Wha… What the hell is that thing!” I stared wide eyed at the creature which glared at me as it got up and shook itself.

“Easy now human,”
it said politely and walked closer to me. It was what looked like a very large rodent its short fur covered in intricate red, black, and white markings, and its crystal blue eyes staring straight into mine. It was massive, about the size of a horse and had very large ears and a long tail that curled around the tip. I blinked and looked away and noticed that it was also wearing a blue collar that almost matched the color of its eyes. “You are lucky you are still alive and survive the trip here. Keldry’s magic is very unpredictable.” He pointed his paw in the direction of the rainbow fairy which was buzzing around a woman’s head.

The woman was a very beautiful woman. I stared at her and she had brilliant blue eyes and short brown hair that curled out on the tips. She wore a long velvet looking royal purple dress that looked amazing on her against her pale skin. She also had gold dangling earrings from her ears, a gold necklace with a purple pendant, and several gold bangles on her arms. I stared unblinking as she swiftly stepped closer towards me as well.

“Wh… Where am I? What is that thing?” I asked nervously as I went back to staring at the creature again.

“You are in the future of your world which has long since past and been reborn into this one. This is Celeste and he,”
she motioned to the creature, “Isaac, is a wista. A creature created by myself, Angela,” she smiled kindly and approached, bending down to my level at the tree, “What is your name human?”

Afraid, I stuttered to her in answering, “A… Angel… Lilian Angel Durant. Wait… The world ends?”

Isaac replied instead,
“Not entirely. The world is still the same as it was for you, but scientists from the past found a purple substance called Acanite that could give humans longer lives and injected many of them with it. Humans did in fact live longer, but there were certain side effects…” He paused to look over at Angela as if asking her whether he should proceed or not and then turned his attention back to me, “The humans mutated into either one of two new species of human, Daemon or Fallen. Daemon look basically like demons and Fallen look like angels. They were outcast by humans and then created a war with them, annihilating humans all together. There are a few humans now in Celeste, but they, like you, have been brought here by Keldry, or they were born from the humans that were brought.”

I blinked and then stared, soaking in all the information, “So.. Fallen and Daemon are dangerous then?”

Angela spoke softly to me,
“Yes we are very dangerous, but I will not harm you Lilian. It is against the laws of Celeste to attack humans and even if it weren’t, Fallen do not attack them. Daemon are different though, they can and probably would try to. Although if one is caught in the act, he or she is tried to death. There are also other dark creatures in this time.”

I was completely engulfed in fear when I watched Angela. She had completely changed now.

I watched as the human stared at Angela in horror. Her bright green eyes had completely become filled with fear and her body was entirely stiff. Even I could tell that this human wanted to bolt as far away as possible as the wind lightly moved her long brown hair. Why did Angela have to show every human as soon as they got to Celeste what her true form was, I don’t know, but I do know it always had a major impact on humans like how it was now to this one. I turned my head to look at her instead.

Angela had changed to have pure white feathered wings and orange reptilian like eyes, and her hair had grown longer, reaching to about the middle of her back. Her ears ended in points and every time her mouth moved I could see the rows of sharp teeth that she was trying so hard to hide. She was a Fallen. One of the mutated breeds of human that rule this world, the creators of most creatures and protectors of humans. Or so one is told to believe. Truth is that Fallen hate humans just about as much as Daemon and won’t even hesitate to beat or kill one that annoys them. I’ve seen it happen many times and for some reason those that do so don’t get in as much trouble as a Daemon would. Why the hell do they have to bring more humans. This one is female though. I thought as I moved my gaze back to the human and took a few steps forward.

“Angela, look at what you have done. You’ve completely scared her to death. Change back already.” I muttered coming closer to the human who turned quickly to stare at me, even more frightened now that I was so close. I could tell since I could hear her heartbeat loudly and beat even more rapidly than it had been.

“No no Isaac. She needs to get use to seeing a Fallen since there are so many of us. Can’t have her too nervous for when Gwendalla must examine her.”
Angela stated as she stood up and smiled kindly “Now Lilian don’t be afraid. We won’t hurt you. Please just follow Isaac and I, and we will take very good care of you.”

The human only blinked before looking at me and then looking back at Angela and stuttered,
“Wh…What kind of… examination?”

Angela still smiled as she replied,
“oh nothing too big. Just making sure you have no injuries or anything that may have been affected by coming here.”

I stared at Angela from the lie. Why even lie? Its pointless to do so since the examination is a bit more than “nothing too big” and the human is bound to figure that out. I twitched my ears a bit and noticed that the human’s heart beat had decreased a lot compared to what it had been, and she was more like how she was before again.

“Um so just an examination then? So what happens after then?”
She asked and still had not moved.

“Then you will be given a Sanya to take care of you and you may be on your way in the world. Doing whatever you desire.”
Angela answered and nodded and then held out her hand to the human. “Up you come then.”

The human looked at the hand and then up and Angela and then back down again before grabbing it and easily being pulled to her feet, and Angela grinned wider and began walking back to the trail. I noticed the human was a bit startled by how easily Angela had pulled her up and stood there a minute before also following, and I followed behind her.

The trek to Gwendalla’s deep within the forest was very slow but we made it there eventually. The human is very clumsy for even a human, and I kept having to catch her every now and then from behind. Most of the time I just wanted to pick her up and carry her since she was so damn slow. Angela insisted on us walking though so that the human would not be afraid for the examination. It was something to do with I would frighten her and Angela did not want that to happen I suppose.

Gwendalla’s castle was a small castle with very little guards around it. She was a very kind woman, one of the kindest people I had ever met, and I watched as she came swiftly over to us with that petite body of hers.

“Oh so this is the new one,”
she stated and smiled at the human before grabbing a hold the human’s arm and walking her towards the gate. “Hello Lilian, my name is Gwendalla. I am the Sage of Dreams and you are here for an examination yes. Right this way!” I heard her say happily as Angela and I followed behind them.

She led us all down many hallways until we got to a certain one that had double doors adorned with golden swirls and from my eyes, completely surrounded by a ton of magic. I gazed at the colorful threads as each one looped in and out and around each itself or another, leaving intricate patterns across the ceilings, floors and walls. I thought carefully on what they could be as I studied them since I had never before seen so much magic at one place of Gwendalla’s castle before. There wasn’t even any on the outside. Obviously something that happened in there needed to be kept secret.

She opened up the doors and led the human inside and as soon as I was about to follow, she said sternly,
“You two are to stay out here.” then shut the two doors in front of us.

Angela muttered,
“Ridiculous that I may not enter as well.” I looked at her for a moment before laying down to wait and smirked. The b***h couldn’t get everything she wanted.

It was several hours before even a sound was heard and I was almost on the verge of falling asleep when the two doors opened again and I saw Gwendalla partly carrying the human out of the doors, a huge grin on her face.

She looked over at Angela and spoke too rapidly for a human to hear,
“She is the one.”

CHAPTER 2

Never in a million years did I ever think that this would happen to me. I mean how could anyone ever think that a bunch of beautiful, yet obviously dangerous creatures would be staring at me as I stood before them in new clothes that were almost ancient to me. Whatever happened to jeans and t-shirts in the world? I looked down at the ruffles of cloth gathered along my feet from the dress I was now wearing while I avoided the gaze of those before me. They were apparently in a very enthusiastic conversation over me that had to do with me being “The One,” whatever that was suppose to mean.

You should lift your head before one of the Sages makes you do so.The giant rodent whispered beside me and I looked up at him to see that he had his gaze focused directly forward more at the wall over the heads of the Sages than at one of them.

Muttering to him quietly I looked away and said, “I don’t feel like it. I’ll do what I want especially since I don’t feel comfortable with them staring and talking about me right in front of me like I’m some sort of freak of nature.” I concentrated on the dress that I was wearing as I heard him chuckle a little bit beside me.

The dress was almost that of red velvet cake that parted in the middle of the corset top of it to reveal golden ruffles that went to the floor. Intricate patterns of gold adorned all the fabric and gold trim was on most, if not all, the hems. The top was almost suffocating to wear and I had to begin really concentrating on my breathing as I wished that I could change into something more comfortable.

Zoning out on the conversation around me I stared at the floor and tried not to pass out right there in front of all of them, and only when there was a growl from beside me did I look up again.

You don’t seriously ******** expect me to be this human’s Wista do you? No way.. I do not take Sceltos and you know this Angela,” Isaac bared his teeth in anger and stared hard at me with piercing eyes. The gaze almost caused me to flinch and step back but I stood there firmly and paid more attention to what was going on around me.

Isaac… You WILL be the one that will guard her. We can’t have anyone touching her until we find a suitable candidate for her.” Angela sternly said as she wandered over to us.

The Wista hissed and stamped his paw on the ground, “
No. I refuse. Humans die far to easily and have to practically be babied or else they don’t survive here. I will not do it. Find someone else.

Angry that he just pretty much called me a child in front of my face, I raised my voice to be heard, “I’m fully capable of taking care of myself. I don’t need anyone..” I looked up and down him before continuing on “… or anyTHING for that matter helping me. Especially not some rude a** mouthed rat like you.”

I glared as the beast put his face extremely close to mine and hissed, “
I’ve saved countless numbers of lives and killed many creatures here for over three thousand years. So don’t even ******** dare run your mouth at me,” He moved further back and narrowed his eyes. “Seems you know not what sort of situation you are in right now. One step beyond these walls alone, and you’ll be easy pickings for someone.

Before I could open my mouth to retaliate Angela said quickly, “
You are the only option we have Isaac. No other wista has the experience you have or the power to fight against threats that will be far greater to her than any other human. You will HAVE to be her wista.

I watched as Isaac shifted slightly and sighed, “
Fine.. But my pay better be triple what it usually is.

Done” Angela smiled happily and put her hands together.

And I refuse to live in Asea Valley…” He sat on the ground and stared at her.

It’s already being arranged. You will live in a house in Tumba and you can do what you please once you get there as long as she is near you in some way.” Angela said as she handed him a roll of paper that he handed over to me.

Silently I took it and was startled as Gwendalla suddenly handed me a sheathed dagger and a bag before she said, “
You are going to need these in your journey there, dear. Make sure to see what all is in it when you get to your first resting place.

Staring at her I stammered, “I-I’m leaving already?”

She nodded and smiled kindly toward me before moving away to be with the other Sages there. I stared with my mind racing and my heart hammering in my chest as I looked up at the rodent beside me. Oh hell.

Reluctantly, I bowed before the sage council after they had pretty much dismissed us since I doubted there was more that would need to be said from them. The human girl was rather shaken from the whole experience already and it took a nudge of a paw from me to actually get her a** moving toward the door. She stumbled some as I looked down toward her and she glared at me with her bright green eyes before she muttered low, "Stupid rat.. " and I couldn't help but feel annoyed as the ears on my head flattened against it.

"Pick up the pace, girl. I'd like to be at least out of the castle by nightfall if you don't mind" I grumbled at her as I walked slowly behind her for she was walking very slow to me.

"
I'm walking as fast as I can with this heavy freakin bag... Leave me alone dammit.. " She raised her voice very annoyed and it echoed throughout the white hallway.

I inched very close to her and leaned my head over her shoulder as I whispered in her ear, "Then maybe.. you should run or else we could be in here all day. "

She gaped at me and then her eyes burned in anger as she threw the bag directly at my face. "
I don't even know where I'm going you jerk... you lead if you are so keen to getting out of here so damn fast. "

"Fine by me.. You better ******** keep up then" I picked up the bag and held it out to her for her to grab back but I let it go swiftly so that the weight of it caused to weigh her down at first. I pushed her aside so I could pass her which made her lose her balance and fall.

"
OW!" She sat on the floor and glared at me more as I stared at her. This was going to be a very long trip, I thought and picked up the bag with my paw to put it on my shoulders. There she couldn't complain about it now even though I could almost feel her anger radiating off of her as she got up and walked toward me silently. "It is this way" I told her and she didn't say a word to me as we continued down the hallway with only the sound of our footsteps echoing off the walls.

After what was probably ten minutes, I got tired of walking. It was just too ******** slow. I turned my gaze to her and she was looking around at things on the walls as we passed them. Her gaze was almost in awe at all the gold and ippin laden tapestries, picture frames, vases, artwork, and the many other things that were covered in them.
"You like the ippins or are you fascinated with something else. " I asked her and she turned her head up at me questioningly.

"
Ippins?" She looked around the room for what I was talking about in confusion.

I answered her softly, "They are all the hard shiny substances that are gleaming on everything. We use them for currency too here"

She looked up at me with wide eyes, "
So an Ippin is like a gem? or.. is a gem? We use them for money here.. so I get to actually hold real gems?"

She actually looked rather excited and happy with her rambling about whatever a "gem" was which I'm guessing in the human era was the same thing as an ippin or maybe similar to them. "I suppose... You have some in this bag I'm sure. I doubt they would leave you without any money here."

Her face lit up with that bit of information I gave her, "
Are their any Tanzanite ones here? That one is my favorite gem ever"

I stared at her as she looked up at me expectantly for the answer to her question. With that, it confirmed to me that indeed a "gem" and an ippin were one in the same thing. Tanzanite was a rare ippin here and the castle didn't even have many of them. Apparently the humans had almost mined all of the ippins back before they were all doomed to extinction from the Fallen and the Daemon. "It is very hard to come by in this world. Your kind almost mined all of them long ago before they were eradicated from the planet. There are a few in here somewhere but they are some of the few actually around the world now "

"
Ah.. I see " Her face slightly fell into a somewhat disappointed gaze as she looked forward down the hallway.

Finally I could see the doors to the way out when I followed her gaze. Two guards were stationed there, one on either side of the double doors with their faces completely hidden behind their helms. Their silver armor shined brightly as the stood still as statues when we reached them. Not even a second passed then and the doors opened before us showing the view of outside. The human walked in front of me then and I watched her walk forward to look over the edge of the floating island before she stepped back quickly.

"
We are actually.. in the air... Oh my god..." she looked at me fearfully as she held her hands clasped together in front of her chest, almost as if she were building some invisible shell around herself.

"Yes... and we are going down to the ground" I said and padded my way over to the edge. "Come on.. get on my back"

Lowering myself so that she may easily climb up my side, I could hear her heart beat quickening in fear as she shook her head and whispered in a high voice, "
no.. no.. we are going to die.. "

I sighed and followed her as she backed up more from the edge. "We are not going to die. I do this all the time.. just get on or I'll use my mouth to hold you instead"

Before I knew it, she ran. I cursed under my breath and easily caught up to her and grabbed her squirming body with my mouth as she protested against me, "
Let me go.. Let me go!" She struggled as I carried her back to the edge and I looked down as she gazed in horror at the drop between us and the ground. Frozen, she turned her head to look at me in anger to open her mouth and I, amused, swiftly hopped off the cliff.

I couldn't help it. I screamed. The wind whipped my hair wildly as this a** of a rodent forced me off this cliff. A very high cliff for that matter. I closed my eyes to just await my death because he was so very stupid where we'd both plummet into the ground, but nothing came until I suddenly plopped on the soft grass and opened my eyes to look around me. We were both unscathed and he stared at me with an amused gleam in his sky blue eyes.

Getting into a sitting position to glare at him cross legged, I could now feel his spit had gotten on my dress. That is so gross, I thought and I heard him speak smugly, "
See now that wasn't that bad now was it? I told you we would be fine although I think I'm deaf now from your high pitched screams.. We need to get moving though. It will be faster if you ride on my back since I would love it if we got to our destination in a few days."

"Oh yes... I just love that I could have died.. what is so bad about that? " I said and rolled my eyes in sarcasm before continuing. "I like.. have to ride you.. in this? "

Motioning toward the dress I was wearing, he tilted his head to the side and stated, "
Why not? unless you would rather change here or go around nude, I would assume you would be fine in that. "

I gaped at him slightly and shook my head as I said, "I can barely breathe in this thing.. I don't even want to imagine climbing on top of a giant rat in it and riding him like a horse..."

He narrowed his eyes as it seemed a nerve was struck and he muttered lowly, "
Quit ******** calling me a rat, human"

"Well maybe if you quit calling ME a "human," maybe.. just maybe I will call you by name." I protested and stood up with my hands firmly on my hips before him.

He muttered something unintelligible to me before he spoke to where I could hear him, "
So all I have to do is call you Lilian and then you'll quit calling me a rat? Somehow I doubt that.. "

"No.. not Lilian.. I hate that name.. call me by my middle name, Angel. I do not guarantee though that I won't call you a rat... You aren't very nice to me. " I grumbled and it looked like he actually grinned if there ever was a way for a giant rodent to smile I guess.

"
Then there's no guarantee I won't call you "human".. "

"Fine I will call you Isaac okay.. I'd rather be called Angel than human I think by a meanie face like you. " I pursed my lips at the end of the sentence and he chuckled slightly.

"
Call me Fenrir.. not Isaac and we will have a deal there, Angel. " He said nonchalantly with a grin on his furry face. "Now come on.. get on my back already so we can leave this place. I do not like staying here for very long"

I shifted the dress slightly so I could move in it and I walked up beside him which resulted in him lowering himself low to the ground so I could easily climb on. Clumsily, I heard him growl as I pulled his hair from the few times I about fell off before I was stationed right where I needed to be behind his shoulders. It was rather awkward sitting on him but it wasn't overly so since it reminded me of a horse that had longer hair. I had only ridden one of them once when the pony rides were at the local fair of our town and that was about all the experience there was when it came to this. "So... Don't go too fast please.... I'm definitely not used to this. "

He began his trek rather slowly through the forest that had been around us and he sighed, "
You better get used to it soon then because I hate moving this slow.. It will take us ages to get there at this pace. All you have to do is hang on to the collar there and don't let go. Its not that hard"

Frowning, I did as I was told, grabbing hold of the shiny blue collar that wrapped around his neck. He instantly picked up the pace very gradually with this. I suppose he did so so I wasn't caught off guard, but I wasn't sure as I kept my head relatively low to avoid any branches that were now a blur as we passed them. They would at least hit him first if he was going to run head long into them.

It wasn't long before the speed at which he ran, kept me having a very tight grip on the collar for I feared if I slipped up on the pressure even the tiniest bit, I would go flying off of him and into the dirt below. His paws somehow didn't even make the lightest of sounds either, almost as if he were gliding across the Earth from the sheer speed he was moving. I even thought for a moment we had moved faster than speeding car, but that was not possible was it? There was no way he could ever be moving that fast. No animal alive could even run faster than a cheetah and it merely sprinted for short amounts of time at seventy miles per hour. With that speed, we'd even be going faster than most speed limits cars had to go.

The air stung my eyes and made them water as it felt like he had even went faster. I had noticed that I couldn't see anything around me even when my eyes adjusted to the wind, but the pressure of whatever velocity we were going, was not affecting me. He was still gradually speeding up, then staying at a constant speed before going to an even higher one again and repeating the process. I thought about everything I had learned in physics classes and it seemed, Fenrir had to have known about G-force or maybe he didn't know at all what it was, but knew how he could move very quick, without causing too much pressure on the human body.

I yelled over the wind as felt the muscles in his body tense to move to gain more speed again, "Do you know how fast we are going!"

Barely able to hear him, his voice came to me almost that of a whisper over the roar of wind, "
Do you seriously have to yell so close to my head.... I'm right here you know... and I think we are moving over 300mph now if I'm not mistaken"

I gripped a hold of him tighter while I thought on how fast we were really going. If I had lost my grip at all at that speed, I'd be dead, or what if worse happened and he somehow crashed into something. Remembering instances of car crashes, I stiffened and held on tight to him as I pleaded with whatever god there was in this future world that I would survive this.

Carefully, very carefully, I weaved in and out of the dense forest vegetation so that I wouldn't cut the human that clung desperately to the fur on my back. I could tell that she was scared as her heart hammered furiously against me and her breathing was coming in gasps. I needed to get her through the mountains before nightfall though. It would get too cold for her in the night if we were to continue on them.

After about an hour, she was so calm on me that I half wondered if she had fallen asleep as I had continued at one constant speed. The foliage was very sparse now at higher altitudes of the mountains and I could feel a slight chill in the air as I continued to climb the ridges. I glanced behind me to see her to find her eyes closed and maybe she really had fallen asleep there. It was getting dark so I suppose that may be normal for her if she did so. To test whether she was awake or not, I said to her loudly, "Are you getting cold? Probably in another hour we will be leaving the mountains and into Lyrelen where we will stop for the night. "

I looked behind my shoulder again to see she hadn't moved and I muttered some magic under my breath. "Iris serdon rrughen." This would keep her from falling off since I had deemed it that she was indeed sound asleep, probably thanks to magic I had done earlier that made a sort of veil around her to shelter her from the wind and any sort of surprise weather like snow or rain. It wouldn't do much for temperature though so she would have to rely on body warmth if the temperature dropped too low for her.

Passing over glaciers, through snow passes and finally the down descent of the mountains on the other side, I felt her stir slightly. She mumbled something unintelligible for even myself to understand as I felt her sit up straight. I looked at her as she sat up sleepily, almost in a daze as she stared back at me. "You finally awaken... We will be at a resting point soon so we'll make up camp in a bit when I know you won't freeze to death over night. "

"
So it wasn't a dream... ugh... I'm really in this place.. " I heard her whisper and I grimly looked ahead, lips in a tight line as I muttered back to her.

"Unfortunately for either of us, this is very real and we are stuck together probably forever or until you die I suppose."

"
Forever.... surely not.. "

"What.. you think it couldn't be forever... If you were somehow made into a Fallen or Daemon would could very well be stuck forever.. We don't die like you humans do.. I'm thousands of years old myself.. " I heard her gasp but she got quiet as we reached a clearing with a small stream. Perfect, I thought and came to a stop. "We will make camp here... now get off "

I stared at her over my shoulder as she narrowed her eyes at me before she clumsily slid off my back and onto the ground to her feet. I took the pack off for her next and set it on the ground so I could wander over to the stream for a drink. The water was clear and refreshing as my tongue lapped it up thirstily. When finished, I eyed a fish below its surface, skewered it swiftly with a claw, and then tossed it in the direction of the girl. She looked at it in surprise and I sat on my haunches to watch her trying to build a fire out of sticks. "You will be hungry a long time if you try to build one that way... There's an easier way to do that you know... "

Wandering my way over to her, I could tell that she was trying to ignore me with the slight glances she was giving while she ground two sticks together forming smoke but no fire at all. After what felt like at least ten minutes, I lowered my head down close to hers, first looking at the charred circles in the wood she was creating and then into her eyes which she was staring at me with. "I can help you with that if you like... You will freeze and starve to death at the rate you are going at trying to get a spark with too damp of wood. "

Her cheeks flustered and she glared at me before silently trying to work on the fire again. I sighed and laid down in the grass to watch her. She was a determined little thing even if it was costing her pain to her hands which were probably way too fragile to be used on sharp tree bark. Eventually she winced and dropped the stick with bloody hands from the bark slowly stripping her flesh. Her eyes were tearing up as she looked at them and I got back up to go over there, getting another glaring glance from her but I didn't care.

"First off.." I began to state clearly and created a fire in front of her from what little magic ability I had. "I have magical abilities of fire so I told you there was an easier way to do this" I heard her utter a sound and I looked down at her while she had her head down, her face hidden by long bangs. This bothered me some so I lowered my head down so I could see her face and she quickly tried to hide it from me but I still caught a glimpse that she was indeed crying like I thought she was. Even though I guessed it, I wasn't really prepared for it. The emotions of humans were not my thing but I managed to soften my voice to her and grabbed one of her tiny hands with my paw. "Second... don't hurt yourself any more.. come to me if you need anything and I'll do anything for you even if I'm not officially bound to you."

She looked into my eyes with her teary ones and I raised her hand to my lips so I could lick the wound. Sterilizing it was important. There was no telling what sort of bacteria were here that could make her sick and this was a sure way to get rid of any.

"
It doesn't hurt any more... " She whispered and I began wrapping her hand in some bandages that were in the pack directly beside her.

"That's because Wista saliva has some sort of healing properties in it. We use it on minor wounds when we have no healing abilities..." I carefully tied the end of the bandage and began to work on the other hand with the same process.

She didn't protest in the slightest and sat there quietly as I finished with the other hand. Glancing over at the fish still on the ground, I picked it up and skewered it with a stick before holding it in the fire. She was very quiet, just gazing at the fire and I wondered slightly what she could be thinking there. Did she miss her family? Maybe she wanted to go home already to the world she left, but sadly, she would never be able to go back. There was no way that was possible. I thought about many things that involved her until I pulled the cooked fish out of the fire and peeled a piece off to give to her.

Looking at it solemnly, she took it in her fingers and blew on it a little before she ate it. Her expression made me want to pat her on the head but I restrained myself and instead averted my eyes from her to look at the river. I stammered a little trying to find the right words, "Are you okay now... They don't hurt again do they.. "

She moved her gaze up to me as she ate another piece of fish I had given her, "
They do not... I'm fine though... um.. what did you mean earlier when you said you were not officially bound to me?"

The question was certainly not something I was expecting her to ask and I paused a moment before answering, "Well... usually when a Wista.. or well any species gets a Scelto, there is a little spell that is used to bind that creature and their Scelto forever. When one of us takes a Scelto we are suppose to do this with them, but like I said, that binds them together forever until one of them dies."

"
Hm.. I see.. and since the Sage Lady made me be your Scelto I suppose you do not want to do this little ceremonial thing with me. Understandable.." She nodded then and took another bite of fish and looked a little better than she had. Maybe she got her mind off of what she was thinking of.

I eyed her a minute and she laid down in the grass finished with the fish so I ate the rest of it in one bite, the bones crunching easily from my teeth. It wasn't long before she fell asleep again. She must be really tired, I thought and studied the surroundings for any sort of entity that may be lurking. This was Lyrelen and even though Fallen were the main species one would find here, others were bound to be lurking where they shouldn't be.

Some time in the middle of the night, I realized she was shivering even with the warmth of the fire in front of her. It didn't feel that cold to me, but maybe I hadn't moved far enough into Lyrelen at all. Not wanting her to be cold any more, I moved over to the other side of the fire where she was and laid down behind her, curling my tail around this tiny body of hers and laying my head down near hers on the grass. She turned over and my ears pricked thinking maybe I had woke her up but she merely curled her fingers into my fur. She's cute, I thought before I felt myself drift off into sleep.

Dreams. I do not usually have these but I awoke that morning to quite the most awful or maybe slightly wonderful one. I was not sure. I could feel warmth and the rising and falling of something that smelled clean and nice in front of me. It was like a sweet musky scent and I opened my eyes to see it was the white fur of Isaac or well Fenrir he wanted to be called. Some time in the night he must have made his way over here for whatever reason, I thought and sat up, his tail fur covering most of the lower half of me.

Carefully, I made my way out of the blanket of beautifully colored fluff and wandered over to the stream to get a drink. The water was cool and crystal clear, absolutely lovely to taste as well. Finishing, I looked down at my reflection in the water and realized I was still in that same horrible dress I was in the day before. I frowned and stood up to make my way back over to where Fenrir was and my pack to see if these sages had thought to pack me different clothes and hopefully clothes that didn't have skirts. Looking into the pack I saw that its contents were very weird. It had felt so heavy when I carried it but on the inside it only had several little zipper pouches and nothing else in it. This made no sense to me but I opened one of them and stuck my hand in it, felt some sort of object and pulled it out. I stared at what I held when I had pulled it through the little zipper pocket. Surely there was no way this knife could have fit in there. It was way too small for this but somehow it came out of that tiny pocket. I examined the pocket carefully and then the knife that was so intricately adorned in gems and crafted metal that I feared how much it may be worth if I ever somehow parted with it.

Placing it down beside me, I reached in the same pouch and felt another object. I pulled it out and blinked as there was another knife in there, this one with a dark blade and writing on it that I couldn't understand at all. I placed it with the other one and continued to fish out what was in it. By the time I was done with that pouch, I had managed to pull out seven different knives of different shapes and sizes, two whole swords, several vials of liquids of different colors I had no idea of what they could possibly be, and 4 small round balls which I also had no idea of what they were.

With that pouch emptied, I moved along to the others. Apparently each pouch represented something like the first one had to have been weapons I concluded and out of the rest, one was medical supplies, two were clothes, one was full of so many Ippins that I quit counting them, and one actually had what I could only discern as feminine products.

I hurriedly stuffed all of what I didn't need into their pouches again and kept out glass bottle of what smelled like shampoo, a bar that I think was deodorant, and some more appropriate clothing for this journey. Sadly they had all had skirts, I thought and headed back over to the stream to bathe myself. Giving a glance back at Fenrir, almost not wanting him to see what I looked like unclothed even if he was a giant animal, I undressed and carefully made myself into the water to clean myself.

The water was of course cold but it was bearable and I managed to clean out any dirt and grass that was on me from sleeping on the ground. I decided to think of my dream while I did this. It had been about the creatures here I think but one that wasn't like the others I had met. He had brilliant blue eyes, dark black hair, and wings of black feathers that wrapped around me closely, shielding me from someone I couldn't place. It was an odd dream that pretty much ended in him becoming hurt to protect me so it was a nice and sad dream at the same time. I felt like I knew him actually.

"
How long have you been awake...." I heard Fenrir speak behind me and I about jumped out of my skin from how sudden it was disrupting my thoughts. I hadn't even known he woke up and instantly moved my arms to cover myself.

"How long have YOU been awake..." I asked quickly to him and saw he was watching me rather attentively. Feeling myself growing embarrassed I stammered, "Do not stare at me.... turn away.. look somewhere else."

He cocked his head to the side but still looked at me with eyes that made me feel slightly violated and it annoyed me. "
Why? I need to keep an eye on you anyways.. you never know if someone bad is lurking in the bushes nearby..."

Instantly after he said it, I looked around and clutched my arms more firmly to my chest before gazing at him again. His blue eyes were still piercing as he watched me. The same colored eyes as the man in my dream, I thought for a second but quickly pushed the thought away. Now was not the time to be thinking of that. "I don't care.. I don't like you.... staring at me like that... you are staring.. stop it"

I could feel myself blushing more so and he made his gaze move up to look in my eyes. "
Are you embarrassed? Don't be... I am merely a Sanya and if you are worried about how you look, you are a very pretty human. You are done washing though yes? You should get out before you get cold."

So I was just called pretty by a giant squirrel, I thought and looked away from him before lowering my arms and moving probably rather ungracefully over rocks on my way out of the water to get to my clothes. Almost feeling him watching me still, I bent to grab the clothes, fumbling with them slightly before I quickly put them on and turned to look at him. About to say something to him, my stomach growled noisily and I blushed more hearing him get up and chuckle. "
Don't laugh... I'm hungry.. There's no food in that bag either.."

"
Alright I'll go find you something in the area. I won't be far and can probably hear you if you called for me. Do not leave here and I will be back soon with something for you" He hopped over the stream gracefully and looked at me once more before saying once more, "Do not leave this area..." Quickly he disappeared then into the woods behind him so fast I didn't even see him really move to go in that direction.

After a while of sitting on the ground, I was finding it uncomfortable on the hard ground so I stood up to pace around our camp a little bit. He had been gone a long time it felt like and it was so eerily quiet that it was unnerving and frightening a little. Suddenly I could have sworn there was yelling nearby but I wasn't sure. What if it was him, I thought but every instinct of my body told me to stay right there where I was told to. But what if it was and he was in some sort of trouble or something, I thought more and began to panic thinking about if I got stuck alone in wilderness I knew nothing about and if maybe I was just hearing things and it was nothing at all. I heard the sound again though, louder and much closer this time. It was indeed a yell, almost a scream of pain and I felt goosebumps rise on my whole entire body. My heart racing, I ran in the direction of it while jumping over rocks and fallen trees until I reached a small clearing in the foliage.

The light was blinding at first from the sudden dark of the forest and it took me a bit for my eyes to adjust to it, but by then it was too late to move out of the way of a man pointing a knife at my throat. Frozen, I stared up at him in fear and he slowly moved around me with intense dark red eyes so fixated on mine that I felt like I couldn't breathe. He had dark brown curling locks that framed his face nicely and had dark red dragon wings that protruded from his back behind him.

Daemon, I thought and found I was in a very bad situation, probably the worst according to what Angela had told me about them. I managed to speak to him even though he had now moved behind me and placed his other hand on the other side of my neck, "
You better let me go.. my... my Wista will come for me soon"

"
I highly doubt that even if it came that it could do anything about what I'll be doing to you.. human" He breathed in my ear and pressed himself firmly against me from behind. Strangely, I think that if he hadn't been potentially about to kill me, I probably would have thought having a sexy guy like this so near me as awesome, but of course he only wanted to kill me so that was out of the question.

"
Let her go Raziel.." I heard another voice of someone or something I hadn't seen and an injured Wista made his presence known in the clearing. He had yellow eyes that were narrowed fiercely and fur the color of salmon with intricate yellow and white designs all over it. He was crouched low to the ground with a silvery substance pooling at his feet and I noticed after a moment that all of that was the creatures blood.

The man behind me laughed and moved the knife away from me only to put it away and press his hand to one of my breasts instead. Blushing instantly and standing there wanting to slap the s**t out of him, I heard him say to the Wista in front of him, "
No way am I letting go of this one, Delmaski. I plan on taking her back to my castle and having fun with her a little bit while I have you tortured in my dungeons."

Fun? What kind of "fun" were we talking about here, I thought and stood in horror at what a Daemon's source of fun was: rape, torture, killing and maybe all three and more. Heart hammering in my chest, I felt him shift to raise a hand to the left of us and suddenly a door shaped hole appeared out of no where. A portal, I thought and panicked, struggling against him now but he was like trying to fight off something absolutely impossible. He didn't budge at all. I even stepped on his foot and there was nothing, no response to pain or anything. I looked at the creature that snarled at him and he laughed and slung me over his shoulder like I was a rag doll and walked over to the portal.

"
Raziel!! Don't!" I heard the Wista yell and felt the cold substance of the portal wash over me and the Wista flinging himself across the distance in after us and Fenrir appeared behind him in a flash but not fast enough to where he could follow us.

It took only a second to go through the portal and end up in a room with a large chair and dark tapestries lining the walls. The only source of light were torches on the stone walls and the floor was extremely shiny showing the reflection of everything. The yellow-eyed Wista had followed us through the portal behind us but he didn't get very far past that point I watched in horror as several Daemon surrounded him and easily defeated him. He lay there on the floor, unconscious or dead I didn't know but soon one of the three men were dragging him out of the room by one of his back legs out the door, a silver bloody trail following behind them.

"
My Lord... You return with a human? Did the negotiations at Lyrelen work out well or.. maybe you picked her up along the way back?" One of them had walked up behind us with blonde hair and sea green eyes to speak.

"
They didn't know where the human was only knew of her existence and I found this one along the way back and thought I'd play with her a little bit for the hell of it. " The man holding me said, his voice echoing slightly off the walls. He walked off toward a door on the right and opened it.

"
Wait.. My Lord! What would you like us to do with Delmaski?"

The Lord or whatever he was paused and answered to him, "
Do what you like with him. Now... leave me be. No one enters this room until I say. Understood?"

"
Yes.. My Lord"

The door shut on the man on the other side and now it was just this Lord and me in what appeared to be a large suite with living room area, bedroom, and other rooms that had shut doors. He made his way to the bedroom with a large 4 poster bed and plopped me down on it rather roughly. At least it was soft, I thought and I scrambled to be further away from him.

He was staring down at me with hungry eyes and I knew this was going to be bad before he even started removing his shirt. Oh God, oh god, my mind raced and I stared more in fear at this man. There would be nothing I could do to stop him if he was going to do what he looked like he was about to do to me.

Removing his belt and tossing it to the side of the room, he grabbed a hold of my wrists and pinned them to the bed with him leaning over to bear his gaze down on me. I tried to pull away from him but there was nothing I could do against his very firm grasp. I heard him speak softly to me, "
I have yet to comprehend how there is a human as beautiful as you are in this world..."

I stared up at him in shock and found myself blushing from his comment. Here was a man that was perfection in my eyes and he was calling me a beautiful human? This made no sense. Maybe this was having to do with whatever I was to these weird creatures in this world. I had never had much luck with guys back at school even though they did seem to flirt with me, but never really wanted to date me or compliment me or well anything actually. I had forgotten the man momentarily in thought until he pressed his lips sweetly on my neck and licked sending shivers throughout my whole body.

"What are you doing.. Stop..." I pleaded with him and he moved his head back up to have blazing red eyes transfixed onto mine. He leaned closer to my face and I could see the sharp teeth that shown passed his slightly parted lips. My heart skipped when I noticed them and he smiled lightly before brushing his lips across my lips making the air catch in my chest.

"
Relax, human..." He whispered and I felt a moment of annoyance at him for calling me "human" and wanted to tell him I had a name, but thought better of it. He moved himself back down to my neck and I felt him lick again, this time his teeth brushed lightly over. Breathing quickly, I felt him press something sharp into my flesh and my eyes teared up in pain but it quickly went away. It had felt like a thousand needles the second he did so but for some reason the pain had went away and replaced itself with a pleasureful feeling that actually made me gasp from it rather than scream which probably would have been the better choice.

It wasn't long before he removed his mouth and looked down with flustered cheeks. I hadn't even noticed he had actually let me go at some point to move his hands elsewhere on my body and I don't think he had either. He seemed in shock, maybe embarrassed that he let me go or did what he did. I had no idea, but some time during that I had also clung to him which I released him quickly and moved my hands to myself when I noticed.

"
What are you?" His voice came out breathy and I wasn't sure what to reply with to him other than to tell him I was a human but that would be a smart a** comment probably to him which may very well get me killed. "Your blood tastes so... its so... intoxicating..."

Oh so now I'm gonna be his favorite kind of food. Great, just great, I thought and he got up to pace around the room. "
What were you doing in the forest when you happened across me?" He stopped to look at me and commanded, "Answer, human. "

Gathering up some nerve, I sat up on the bed to glare at him cross legged and replied, "I was with my Wista. We were on our way to.. to Tumba. He had gone to hunt something for me to eat and I heard a scream. I thought it was him but must have been that other Wista so I came to where I heard it and that's how I ended up being well.. here... " He stood transfixed on me and I finished speaking, "and I have a name.. I'd like if you use it instead of calling me human."

A smile of what I think was amusement curled up on his lips and he spoke, "
You have some spunk. Fine. What is your name and I will call you by it."

"Its Lilian Angel Durant.. but I hate being called Lilian so don't use that, I like Angel... but not like this matters because I'm sure you are going to kill me anyways" I stated and he looked at me in surprise and walked over to the bed to push me down on it rather forcefully. His voice like velvet as I stiffened when he placed a hand to cup my face and its thumb to my lips.

"
What makes you think I'll just kill you? I'd rather not waste my time with such measures when you've done nothing to me, not that you could as a human anyways. No.. I feel like I have more use for you."

My heart raced quickly again as his eyes bore into mine and I whispered, "What... as your food... um My Lord? am I to call you that now like everyone else here?"

He grinned fully exposing the row of sharp teeth he possessed and my breath caught again from him, "
Ah who knows on that, Angel, but you can call me Raziel if you like."

I tried to think a moment passed this strange high feeling I was having about what he meant before he told me his name, but it all went away the second his mouth lowered down to mine, and oddly, I didn't feel a desire to fight back.
