 Ah, the world. Sun on his face, wind in his fur. Jua'Mwiba couldn't be happier as he was finally allowed to go out and wander on his own. This was real. He liked this world already. Warriors, desert, the whole nine yards. What more fun could he possibly have? That, and he could finally escape his siblings! Some time alone was just what he needed to prove his strength and independance.
Not that he didn't wonder what his parents were doing... if they had talked all that much. Which they didn't. He picked up on little things about them, on the few occasions he had seen them together. One, he seriously doubted that they had ever cared about each other. Two, now that they had kids... talking was on the bare minimum.
But for now, Jua was well aware that he had to go out and get as close to the Safi boarder as he could. He wanted to know what their enemies were about. What they were doing and what they were thinking. It would be fun, in all of the wierd ways Jua had discovered what 'fun' was exactly. For him, it meant a lot of fighting. Honorable or not.
Of course, that meant he was fair game, but who cared about that? Jua wanted some more chaos in his life!

He was not the only cub about today, wandering off into enemy territory. No, Nataru Yu was already past the borders of the Safi land... And completely un-aware of it. Well, it was a bit hard to realize you were getting too far from home, when you weren't even watching where you were going.
Bright green eyes were focused on the sky as she padded along the warm sands, not even sparing the slightest of glances to her surroundings to make sure she was safe, and not walking towards danger.
There was a small pout on the cubs lips as her eyes raked across the sky, back and forth, seeming to be looking for... something. What that something could be was really anyone's guess. Her family had long since given up trying to figure out the way her mind worked. They wern't exactly close-knit to begin with anyway.

Jua blinked when he laid eyes on the other cub who found herself wandering. Almost instantly, she caught his attention, making him tilt his head thoughtfully. He didn't know her... he was sure of that much, because he was very good with faces. Still... there was something about the way the other cub moved that just drew his attention right in.
He moved towards her carefully, "What's a girl like you doing out here, pet?" He asked her curiously, approaching... without a whole lot of caution. Truthfully, he wasn't exactly one for 'caution'. Sure, a plan might start out that way... but then he had a tendancy to get bored.
But this girl... whoever she was, he wanted to know her. Something about this girl...

Small ears twitched up at the voice, but she didn't look down just yet to whatever had come to speak with her. She did, however, stop walking, head tilting a bit as she looked along the sky. " Have you seen my moon? I've misplaced it. " She said casually, and quite seriously. Yes, she was actually asking him such a thing.
She had asked her father earlier. But the only answer she had received had been a strange look. And so, she decided to go out looking for it herself. After all, if wasn't as if it would just pop up out of nowhere if she sat about and waited patiently!
He pout only deepened as her eyes continued to take in nothing but thin, scattered clouds, and the much too bright sun.

"The uh..." He paused a moment, unsure of how to respond to that one right away. He wasn't used to being asked such bizar questions... really, he was more used to being ignored. Having a lot of siblings did that. But still... he didn't want to leave her high and dry. But he couldn't help mentioning...
"It's daylight, pet. The moon won't be out for hours yet. It's somewhere else right now. But it'll be back." Jua didn't want to give her false hope of course. But the moon did have a tendancy to come back every night. So it wasn't such a big deal to tell her that it would be back.
"Have you really come all the way out here looking for the moon?"

She frowned at his words, and even further at his question, finally looking down to fix those intense green eyes on the male, who she could now see was another lion cub. " Well, of course. I do not like things being... misplace...? "
She blinked a bit, trailing off in her words as she really took in how he looked.
A bit of white... in a sea of mostly black? " Ah!"
She moved forward to him quickly, lifting up on her back paws, front pressed easily against the stranger's shoulders, so she could get a better look at his bright white hair. " You've found it! " She said with a happy giggle. " That was mean to tell me it wouldn't come back, when it sits right here! "

Under his fur, Jua must have lit up in either bright red or pale white, because he was pretty sure that cupid's arrow had just slammed into him with such force that he couldn't breathe. He wasn't entirely sure what she meant... he was already pretty sure that the girl wasn't entirely right in the head, so maybe that didn't matter?
"Ah... I... you mean my mane?" Jua asked, reaching up and touching his mane as his heart suddenly soared with... poetry? Really? Poetry? He had always liked the sound of flowery words used to create music and songs.
"It's... well it's..." He oddly caught her train of thought a little. His mane was white. His body was mostly black. Well now, there was something unto itself. But still... the way she looked at it was... entrancing? In a weird way. A very, very weird way. "It's very white, I guess pet..."

She pushed back from him carefully, to settle her paws back onto the sand, eyes finally taking in more of him than just the shock of white mane. He was the first... well... anything.. she'd met outside of her family. And he already ranked much higher than them in her mind, as he'd yet to treat her oddly.
Slowly, she gave him a smile, stepping forward to give him a very affectionate hello by licking his nose. " I am Natara Yu... What name should I call you? " She asked him, as she sat in the sand, still keeping right in his face.

Again with the blushing. He had never met anyone outside of his own family either, and he certainly hadn't expected to have someone... a stranger no less, be that affectionate with him. Not that his family wasn't affectionate... in their own... very, very weird way. But they weren't exactly the norm. Most lions had a dad who was around a little more often. But this girl... she was something new. Completely different from what he was used to. How could he not feel intrigued?
"Natara Yu..." He said after a moment, letting it roll over his tongue a little. He liked the way it sounded, but it was awfully long, "I'm Jua'Mwiba, pet, but you can call me Jua. If I can call you Yu, that is." He liked the way that sounded.
Less long. More cute. It suited her... and her... oddness.

" You may call me Yu... You may call me pet. " Moving again, she stepped past him to rub up along his side, before moving past with a cheerful spring in her step.
" Jua~ You live here? Yes? Show me things! " Yu was curious about this land that was so similar to her own, yet supposedly forbidden for now. It held others with similar coloring and build. Why the hostility?
Humming over her thoughts, she moved on, not bothering to wait and see if he even came after her, heading for a distant series of caves she saw.

"Ah... wait! Yu, pet, you have to be careful..." Jua said, running after her as she darted ahead of him. On the bright side, he thought Yu suited you particularily well. Actually she was just... kind of awesome really... but if he didn't stop her someone might kill her.
"Here! Pet, come on now..." He said, making sure that he ran beside her, "You have to stay with me or they might try and kill you since you're a stranger... they can be a little nasty sometimes darling. These things take a moment..."
He hoped she understood. If she really understood anything, the girl was a little addle-brained... but he was already pretty fond of her.

She looked over to him as he caught up, speaking of... something or other. The only words that really stood out to her mind... " Stay with you? " She asked, smiling brightly. " Well, if you wish it. I don't want to go back to my family... So I can stay here, yes? With you? " Nodding, as if already deciding that that was what was going to happen, she kept pace with him, and let him lead the way to show her around.
She had to know more of her new home after all, if she would be staying with Jua, as she had already.. well, basically decided on.
Her family was boring, and they ignored her to often. Why go back? Jua hadn't ignored her yet.

"Stay with me...? Wait..." Jua said, trying to sort out in his head what had just happened. When he had said 'stay with me'... he was beginning to think that the lioness had taken that entirely literally. "Well... wait... I didn't mean like... forever... I just meant... you shouldn't go off alone. Someone might hurt you."
Then he looked at her again. This lioness really didn't seem to want to go home. And he didn't know if what he had said was going to upset her now... he almost felt like he was going back on his word by not telling her she could stay forever.
"...well... I meant... you can stay if you want... but um..." Now he was getting tongue tied and confused. This was no good. And it didn't help that he already thought she was beautiful...

She just stared at him curiously with those green eyes as he tripped all over his words, head tilting slowly. Eventually, she smiled when he finally said 'you can stay', nodding in agreement. " Yes, I do want to. "
She happily moved back from him, spinning around with a burst of energy. " You live here with your mummy, my sweet little Jua? " She asked as she stopped her spinning, swaying slightly, as if to a song only she could hear.
" You know... My mummy used to sing me to sleep at night. "
" Run and catch, run and catch~
The lamb is caught in the blackberry patch~ " She hummed out in a lovely voice, that was rather disturbing combined with her choice of words.
" She had the sweetest voice. What will your mummy sing when they find your body? Such a sad sad song it would be... " She said, trailing off to mumbles by the end.

"Yes, I live with my mother here." Jua said, tilting his head and smiling at the girl as she spoke to him, "I'm sure that your mother had a lovely voice, but I don't intend for anyone to be finding my body any time soon." He told her, meaning that one.
"Come on now pet... we have to find you a place to hide if you'll be staying here. We'll have to be quiet-like about it, because they won't like it if they find you here. Not a bit, so you'll have to be quiet as a mouse." He told her, though he had never actually thought mice were very quiet.
He moved up beside her, brushing along her shoulder affectionaty, "Come on then Yu. If you're being mummy I'll have to be daddy for now. We just have to find a good spot where I can bring you food..."
