The High Priest awakens with a start, sitting up and giving off a feeling of fear as he does not immediately recognize his surroundings. This is not- ... wait, where had he been before? He has a bit of a headache, too, which does not help at all with remembering things. Why is his mind in such a fog, and where is he?

He starts to calm down a little when he recognizes Setsushi, though, and realizes he is at home. Kouyo decides that he is glad to be back there, but... How did he get here? He had been... at work, right? Before? What happened?

Setsushi awakens from his reverie with a slight smile. It is good to see Kouyo back, he tells his friend, in a slightly joking tone.

He then becomes a bit more serious and informs Kouyo that Kumoru carried him here from work about... an hour or so ago? It seems some sort of situation occurred there; Kumoru told Setsushi that he was forced to put Kouyo under a spell.

The Knight does not immediately press for answers, but stays seated and waits for Kouyo to find his bearings.

Kouyo crawls unsteadily to the foot of the bed to be closer to Setsushi, and sits there, hanging his legs off the end. He feels dizzy and a little stiff and deathly tired. Somehow, the memories his mind is coming up with seem wrong.

Sheepishly, he tells Setsushi that he cannot yet remember whatever happened, but it somehow resulted in his being knocked out. He will need a bit more time to gather his scattered wits. ... Had Kumoru brought him back then? He could not remember Kumoru being there.

Setsushi sends a reassuring thought to Kouyo, and advises him to take his time remembering -- and getting up.

Though... Setsushi does think it important Kouyo try to remember. It seemed to Setsushi that Kouyo and Kumoru must have gotten into some sort of minor altercation, and Setsushi would like to know more. If Kumoru did something unkind to Kouyo, Setsushi does not want to just let it go...

Kouyo seems a bit surprised as he realizes he has a bit of a bloody lip, but cannot be sure that it was Kumoru who gave it to him. The only person he can recall is-

The priest stops and falls silent, except for more confusion and a vague feeling of dread. He glances away from Setsushi and half turns away from him.

... Was Kumoru cross with him when the human brought him back here?
PostPosted: Tue Dec 23, 2008 1:57 pm

Not cross, no... Rather, he seemed apprehensive, uncomfortable... a little embarrassed? But the human would not tell Setsushi much.

Setsushi tilts his head a bit to glance at Kouyo's face curiously, but he does not pry further at this time.

The red-haired Porcelain does not look at Setsushi, but instead closes his eyes, putting a hand to his mouth. So his memories are still incorrect, but not because his mind was fabricating them now. He probably ... injured Kumoru mistakenly. Kouyo buries his face in his hands.

"What did the human tell you?" he asks aloud after a few moments, without looking up.
PostPosted: Tue Dec 23, 2008 2:18 pm

Not much, Setsushi reiterates, now concerned and moving forward to put a hand gently on Kouyo's shoulder.

The human's story seemed to be that Kouyo was not listening to him and was casting spells of some sort on him, and so Kumoru was forced to put a spell on Kouyo. Setsushi does not know the reason for this situation, nor the exact nature of the magic.

But the human mage seemed to be all right, if less composed than usual -- is Kouyo all right?

Kouyo tells Setsushi somewhat automatically that he is fine. Just tired. He did not sleep the night before, and did not rest much during the day, either. And whatever sleep from which he just awoke was not terribly restful.

When he is better again, he will have to apologize to the necromancer, though, for ... upsetting him. And apparently misusing the magic he had been taught. The priest half-jokingly suggests that perhaps he was lucky to escape with his soul.

The joke doesn't have the intended effect on Setsushi; he shudders at the morbidity of it.

But... but... Isn't this something serious? Whether Kouyo was really acting out of line or if he was somehow provoked, this is not a good development in the Porcelain's relationship to the human. The two Porcelain -- ought Setsushi not know more, as he is affected by these events as well?

If Kouyo doesn't want to talk about it, it's fine, but... Setsushi is just terribly confused now...

The High Priest sighs and hesitantly admits that he must have had another attack of madness. He does not fully know what happened, but he is still not sure he wants to talk about it.

He... he thought he saw his wife again. Except that she may have been dead, and that it was Kouyo's fault. Something of his visions, attempting to plague him during his waking hours as well. Kouyo covers his face with his hands again and starts to cry softly.

Setsushi's brow furrows, but he says nothing. Indeed, he does not know what he would say...

Instead, he rubs his friend's shoulder's gently. ... Perhaps Kouyo is straining himself too hard on too little sleep. That, compounded with his illness, his visions, his anxieties, should not be so surprising to produce strange behavior and apparitions.

Why doesn't Kouyo eat something, rest, then go to sleep early? It's getting a little bit late, anyway...

Perhaps something to eat would be a good idea. The priest tries to compose himself, rubbing the tears from his eyes, then rests his hand on Setsushi's. He is not as dirty as he usually is from work, but he can shower before eating anyway, if he can trouble his friend to make him some noodles?

Carefully, Kouyo gets to his feet, trying to fight off the lingering dizziness as it threatens to come back.
PostPosted: Tue Dec 23, 2008 5:18 pm

Setsushi offers his arm to help steady Kouyo as he rises. Slowly, now; an enchantment might still be lingering...

Setsushi will start cooking their dinner now, noodles with something warm and hearty on top. And... would Kouyo like some medicine to take with it, for his headache?

Kouyo chews lightly at the hurt spot on his lip, and frowns a little as it starts to bleed again. He thinks he will go without medicine, as his headache is nearly already gone. The last of it will likely fade when he can rest.

He holds onto Setsushi for a moment once he is standing, then makes his way towards the shower. ... The Knight is sure that Kumoru was truly not angry? He would need to speak to the human at some point, but not right away.

A small part of Kouyo privately insists that Setsushi should be the first one to know everything - certainly before the human necromancer - but the High Priest tells himself that he cannot share a word of it with either of them. Kouyo is the only one who is able to love a human. But because of that, he cannot love himself. How could Setsushi love him if he knew?
