Kaimi and Kashmira had finally bothered Shade into changing the music to something more... danceable. There was a conveniently clear patch of floor for moving on and there was a good beat going. The tropical little girl grinned at her friend. "C'mon, lets dance!" She exclaimed, starting to move her hips. Hopefully if the two of them got started, everyone else would see how much fun it was and join in. It wasn't like there were a lot of other activities going on, other than milling about and eating.

"Okay!" Kash said, following Kaimi onto the floor. There was enough room for them to dance, so she looked to the other girl for guidance as Beach Boy Christmas songs blasted through the gym.
It was a secret she would never tell her dad, but she loved the Beach Boys. Which was why she was flushing slightly and fighting a giggle as "Little Saint Nick" started up. "How do we do it?"

"Here, like this." Kaimi put her hands lightly on the other girl's hips and guided them from side to side. "Start with your hips. Bump them out to the music." She wasn't really well versed in anything other than bellydancing and hula, but she was pretty decent at improvising. When Kash seemed to have it down, Kaimi grinned. "Now, raise up your arms and move them around too. It's a good way to start."

"Ok!" Kash said, doing her best to swing her hips. The only problem was that her entire body went with the movement, especially her tail. It whipped back and forth happily as she started turning in circles, her arms over her head, hands in jazz position.
It wasn't quite a hula or a belly dance, but she seemed to find it fun!

Kaimi dodged the tail, swaying along with the music. "Thats good! Now move your feet some, too!" She imitated Kash's jazz hands, liking that move. It had style.

Austin was easily distracted by nature. So the sight of two girls dancing together was enough to catch his attention. He headed for them, stopping to the side and cocking his head slightly to watch for a moment.
"Oye," he finally said. "What are you doin'?"
It was at that moment that Kash finally gave into the dizziness, falling on her butt with a laugh. "The world's spinnnnniiinnnngggg."

Grinning, Kaimi gestured to Austin. "We're dancing! D'you know how to dance?" She gave a little shimmy that set her skirt moving. "It's real easy!" The more the merrier, after all. She in fact had grandiose ideas of everyone getting down and joining in.

He thought about it for a moment before holding up a forefinger, as if he was about to say something extremely enlightening.
"No," he said. "Not at all."
Kash couldn't help it. She started to laugh at him. "I didn't know either, so it's okay," she said as she shoved herself to her feet.

His secret santa hadn't shown up yet, in either form; Carlisle had disappeared; so had Ophelia; being left alone on the Uncool Bench was really more than Casca could bear. Especially considering Kashmira -- and now that he could see through the crowd, little Kaiminelli, whom he'd met before -- were messing around on the dance floor, generally looking like they were having fun even if it was pretty undignified, with that one Neverlander. Austin.
He found he was picking himself up from the bleachers and taking them a step down each time, making them wobble with his weight; he cloaked his wings over his shoulder and ambled on up to the girls, immediately taking Kashmira's hand as she got herself to her feet, ignoring any yanking or annoyed looks or growling: it was Kashmira, after all, she was a little sister where rank was concerned. He instead pirouetted her around, one clawed hand on her shoulder to spin her once, still keeping the expression that he was a little too cool for this.
"Your tail kind of impedes your dancing, dearest," he said, "you look a little terrible -- hi, Kaimi." (Austin was only acknowledged with a tilt of the head.)

Maddy had wandered around for a bit but she couldn't seem to find anyone she knew, people kept bumping into her (her wings especially seemed to be a favorite target), Pirate was starting to get mad and.. well, things weren't going to well.
So the young girl started heading towards the first place that she saw that wasn't packed with people, which just so happened to be the impromptu dance-floor.
"Hey all." Her stomach was flooding with relief, having recognized the people standing around - Kaimi was dancing, Kash was there and Austin as well. She recognized some of the others, but couldn't immediately recall their names.
"Are you okay, Kash?" Maddy had seen the girl fall as she got closer, so she reckoned she ought to check.

Kash stopped glaring at Casca long enough to grin at Maddy. "Hi, Maddy! We're dancing! Wanna join us?"
Austin was staring at Casca, a slight frown on his lips as if he was having a deep, insightful thought. Then he finally spoke. "I think I can do it," he said, holding out a hand to Maddy. "'ello, lovely! Wanna dance?"

Rhye was done with her talking with Chris, and getting gifts from him. It was time to get Casca. He had waited long enough, after all. When she saw him and her sister and some others out on the dance floor, she made a bee line for it.
Then attached herself to the gargoyle's arm lightly. It was a good way of getting a hold of someone. "Hi Casca! I need to talk to you a moment," she told him, smiling with her tail wagging slightly. She was in a good mood, obviously.

Casca had just been smiling sweetly at Kashmira -- sweet and innocent, as though he were either -- and curled his arm around Rhye's, looping it into hers in a friendly and gentlemanly way. "You need to talk to me a moment?" he echoed. "Well, you can have a few moments, ma cherie, on account of you being Rhye."
He paused, noticing the greenery that the other twin was sporting; before she could escape, he leant in and pecked Kashmira on the cheek. "Mistletoe," he informed her gravely, and then he faced back to her sister.

"Sure." She smiled shyly, transferring Pirate over to the small pouch Austin had left behind when he handed the crab over to her, and gently tied it to her sash - she'd have to be careful and probably wouldn't be able to dance as wildly as some of the others, but a little swaying couldn't hurt.
"Not too lively though, or Pirate might try to kill us all." She grinned.

Kash flushed brightly, rubbing her cheek where he had kissed her. She couldn't yell at him, though, because he was right. She knew how mistletoe worked perfectly well, thanks to her daddy. Her daddy always kissed her on the cheek, too.
Austin took Maddy's hand and dropped his other hand on her hip, pretending like he knew how to dance. Surprisingly, though, he had a good sense of rhythm and balance, so he didn't make a complete fool of himself. Just kinda led her around with a few spins tossed in.
"Kaimi and I can dance while you two talk!" Kash said, trying to extract herself from the gargoyle's hold.
