In movies, vampires have sort of changed over time. I actually saw a documentary. On Vampires in Cinema once. And it spoke of the first black and white Vampire movies. All the way up to present day. A few things they spoke of. Was how the myth/legend has changed over time. And the physiology of what the vampirus acts actually mean. Something I've noticed in recent Vampire movies. Is heavy emphasis on the vampires need to hide from the rest of society. Basically, in every one of these cases. The creatures still crave blood. But out of fear of destruction. They have decided to hide away. Something that has also been showing up in these newer vampire movies. Is a split opinion about who is the dominate race Vampires or Humans. And the elders are always in favor of self preservation. Instead of mindless feeding. Something about the Vampire Myth/Legend. Is the name of a figure known as William. This guy was supposidly the brother of Vladamere Dracula. William was said to have been one of the first Werewolves as well. Though I've never actually heard. Of any story that speaks of a Werewolf predating William. It isn't made entirely clear if he was indeed the first Werewolf. Or just part of the first generation of them. Also something to note about the Vampire Myth/Legend. Vladameres father was not a vampire. And in fact Dracula was the first of his kind.

Now that I've covered the part that I know of. From Cinema and movies. I will speak mainly of the legend of Vampires. It all started with a figure known as Vlad the Impaler. This guy was some sort of barbaric noble. The details escape me. This guy would torture people. Some times tieing them to crosses then letting there blood drain out. It was rumored that this figure even drank the blood of those he tortured. The guy was a tyrant of the worst kind without question. It was theorized, that the pale skin of vampires was actually an inaccuracy along with there existence in the first place. See, around the time when the Vampire Myth/Legends first took root. Having pale skin was associated with high standings. Nobles would have pale skin. Due to work that involved working in doors. While peasants were made to work outside on Manuel labor.

I like the way that vapires are good people and bad people because good ones kill theft people and bad ones are villains and villians are funny. rolleyes

I can't really say that I've ever heard of a good race of Vampires. Sure there have been those. That hid away content in hiding. But those that actually helped humans. Were seen as outsiders by the rest of the clan.

When it comes to the good guys of every story. Everything is boring and safe. Until the villain appears. Then suddenly all of the character spring to life with a rainbow of emotions. Fear, sadness, anger. - Captain Hook (I may have misquoted this a tad).

A race that kills is still a monstrous race. This is actually just my belief. But by killing someone. You actually give them a pass from there crimes. There judgment will be watered down due to there preemptive demise.
