AIM LOG: Manda & _ p a o cx

Obi stretched himself out, a long, drawn out yawn escaping him as he did. He'd taken yet another nice, lengthy afternoon nap, and thanks to his lousy habit the sun was already almost setting. It'd be a good hour or so before it did, so he took the time to...lie back down and relax. Why bother moving around if you could relax comfortably in a den, anyway? There was no point, right? He had a small grin on his face, eyes half closed and breathing deeply in the hopes of getting himself back to sleep. With his senses dumbed down it'd be hard for him to notice even the smallest creature make its way toward him.

Kisu was out -exploring- at the moment, just like he knew his dad did when Safi went off on his own. Though he knew his dad went farther away... he didn't want to get in trouble. So he'd only come a little distance from where they had stopped for today, really. But to him... it was all new territory! So that counted, right?

Sniffing along, nose to the ground and tail wagging, the little juve pup didn't even notice there was someone -in- the little cave he'd wandered into... until he bumped right into the older Wild Dog's side. With a startled squeak, he fell back onto his haunches, eyes wide.

The little thump on his side, paired with a squeak and an immediate thud right after it, woke Obi right up. Not that he was worried that he'd be kicked out of his den, just worried that something might have hurt itself. He sat up and looked around, eyes trained on the ground assuming that whatever hit him must've been small. The male was a little surprised to find that a pup had managed to make its way to him, and since there was no one else around he figured it must've been what hit him. It had a funny little expression on its face, and Obi smiled. "What's up, little guy?" he asked, wanting the pup to be comfortable around him. He had no intentions of hurting him, after all, and since he totally missed the lump on the ground that had been the larger male, Obi assumed that he was just exploring. No harm done, so he felt there was no need to make him uncomfortable.

"Oh! I uh. I..." Kisu stammered, eyes still wide as he stared up at the other male. He'd never really seen any adults other than his parents in his (so far) short life, and to say he was startled would have been an understatement. "I-I'm sorry I ran into you," he finally got out. "I wasn't... paying attention... Mom says I do that a lot."

Obi smiled softly at the pup, chuckling as he put a paw on his head. "Don't worry about it, you're just curious," he said, the took his paw off and put it back on the ground. "I used to be like that..." and he paused and laughed. "Well, actually I'm still like that." The larger male lowered himself onto his stomach so he could see eye-to-eye with the pup, so as not to strain his neck. "I'm Obi, by the way. What's your name?"

Kisu grinned, peeking out from under the other's paw for a moment. Oh good! He wasn't going to get in trouble! "M'name's Kisu'Makali," he replied, tail wagging as he sat there. "But mostly I just get called Kisu."

"Cool, nice to meet you," he said, his smile wide and friendly. If he was only older, and a girl it'd be a bit of charming too, but...that wasn't the situation. "So where're your parents?" he asked, wondering if he'd have to escort Kisu home. It'd probably be the adult thing to do, but...well, Obi never really felt like an adult. Or his lazy self was just rearing its ugly head. Either way, he didn't want to, but he would if need be. The pup was innocently exploring, and it shouldn't cost anything more than a bump or a scrape here and there.

"Oh uhm. They're back there... someplace," Kisu said vaguely with a wave of his paw. Of course he did know exactly where they were but ... He didn't wanna get sent back home, though this guy didn't really seem like he would do that.

Obi glanced in the general direction of...wherever he waved his paw. He easily figured out that the pup didn't really want to go home yet, so he thought for a moment. He knew the area well enough, so he could probably take the little guy exploring a bit more while escorting him home. He seemed fun enough, anyway. "Riight....well there's nothing interesting in this old cave. But," and he leaned in a bit closer so he could whisper. "I do know this great place a bit further from here. I haven't explored it all yet, so who knows. You might find something you like." Obi leaned back, a huge grin on his face. "So how about it?"

"Really?" Kisu asked, leaning forward with eyes widening again. He could really go exploring and see something cool?! How awesome was -that-?! "Where is it..? What is it?" he asked in a little half-whisper, practically wiggling with excitement.

"C'mon, I'll show you," and Obi stood at that, dusting himself off and stretching a little. It was already getting dark, so he knew they couldn't explore for too long, but since where they were going (he didn't lie about such a place) was toward where Kisu pointed, it'd be alright. "Stay close to me, alright. It's a little rocky, but managable." With the smile still linger Obi started off, looking down now and again to make sure his new friend was following close by.

"I'm with you," Kisu replied quickly at that - used to keeping up with his parents as they walked anyway. He stuck like a little black and white burr to Obi's side as the older male headed off, tail wagging incessantly behind him. "Rocks're fun," he said after a minute. "One time, we found this biiig pile of 'em an' I climbed up to the top! It was great!"

"Heck yes, rocks are fun," Obi said excitedly, his own tail wagging in a bit of excitement. He'd always been a fan of exploring, though with all his free time he didn't much like spending it looking for...well, nothing. Exploring had little to show for all the effort one had to put into it, but right now Obi was taking Kisu out for a little adventure, so he'd take as much out it as he could. Besides, he wouldn't be going if not for him, so why not enjoy while he had the chance? It'd be a while, he knew, before he'd go exploring again.
