Fountain of Poseidon

The Fountain of Poseidon is located on the east side of the capitol. It is a large monument: A fountain. A large statue of the Water God, Poseidon, stands in the middle of the water fountain. Water shoots up from the rim of the fountain, a beautiful tourist sight indeed.

Using wind, they were both blown the statue in an instant. Shiro smiled. "Beautiful..."

[G2g for dinner. I'll try to come back as soon as possible. ]

The diamonds of the sky....

((same, but I may not be back.))
"It is..." she mused with a smile, shaking her cloak out slighlty as she rights herself. Her moonlike eyes study the fountain as well as drift to the other areas. "And who said I was going to steal anything?" she asked innocently.

Shiro laughed. "Just a hunch.." The water poured out of the fountains like crazy, speedily coming back down in a beautiful pattern. The fury of the clouds added to the surreal effect, creating odd viewpoints. Dipping his hand in the water, it began to churn, to the surprise of several tourists who, in their zest for pictures of the statue, had jumped into the middle of the fountains and started to take pictures of the statue.

The winds were cold, though he stopped them, the winds effecting the clouds that covered the Celeste-bane. "Why do you hate the sun? Shiro had been itching to ask this, when she wasn't so pressured by surrounding people. Here, there were only helpless civilians. Grabbing the sleeve of his haori, he pulled, making the sleeve of equal length. It dulled the light that shone on it, letting Celeste be able to watch the fountains without her hood.

The diamonds of the sky....

She hesitated slightly. She was not really comfortable talking about the thing that was so normal to other people, but evil to her. Especially as a child of the night, she was wary of those who asked. But yet, she couldn't logically find a reason to not tell him. Feeling her shadows thin, she sighs softly trying to figure out how to word it in a way that made sense as she drew her cloak to cover her arms and torso.

"There are a number of reasons," she replied slowly feeling the heat rise. "The first is because of my eyes. They're extremely sensitive and the light is so powerful that it makes it difficult to see. For you it would like walking along with the high powered lights on all the time. And then there is the other reason." She looked at the ground for a moment. "Because of my shadow nature the light is painful to me. I'm so much a part of power that what antagonizes my power also hurts me. I'm cold and when the light of that magnitude hits me its like being hit with needles. I have some resistance to it, but in long periods it makes me... well... it hurts."

She paused. "Like the light, heat also takes a toll, but it doesn't hurt. I don't know if I'm explaining it well, but its hard." Her auburn hair fluttered slightly in the low wind as she stared at the statue.

"Hm.. interesting... the light also causes pain to my sightless eyes, though I don't feel heat. Put my hand to a burning stove and I won't say anything." Shiro nodded. "I can feel a little bit of it, but it won't hurt me.. but for some reason, I can understand." He was just a curious person. The wind blew, as he breathed out, blowing the heat away. "It makes sense. The night is dark and cold. But the sun is light and hot. Of course you'd hate it." Covering the sky with clouds, Shiro nodded, as the sun was completely blotted out, and there was a dense fog over them. It was if it was the darkest night of winter. The snow fell, as Shiro sighed.

The diamonds of the sky....

((g2g))She paused as the fog rolled in. It would cast the entire area in shadows, a very useful feat for her. With a classic grin, she walked over to the fountain and sat on one of the benches pooling a shadow portal. Carefully she looked through it and noticed a subtle glimmer of navy. Sticking her hand through the portal, she grinned as she slowly pulled up the sparkling stone and slid it into her arm sheiths. That had worked better than she expected. And she highly doubted the person inside the castle would realize it. "I guess that's a good thing, then, that you can control the weather," she mused with a small smile as though nothing was happening. Her smile was all too guilty and no one would notice the subtle difference of some one reaching into a bench and pulling out certain jewels which may or may not be valuable to the owner. This was more fun than she had planned, but if he asked her to, she would put them back. After all, she didn't want to get him in too much trouble.

[Ok, see you soon! ^^]

Shiro sighed. "I guess unless I were to up the temperature to eighty degrees, even I couldn't stop you." He made no effort to stop her, as he didn't really know what or who she had stolen from. "I might be able to teach you how to make fog roll in, but that's pretty basic... controlling weather would be almost impossible without someone who's lost a major sense. He smiled. "So you can plan more of these fun trips everywhere... and jewel exhibitions..." The words were chosen carefully so no one would suspect.

The temperature grew colder, as Shiro blinked. "Hm.. that's fun." It was extremely cold, and his breath came out as a light fog. "Do you feel more at home now?" Shiro laughed, his own wings shuddering from his laughter. Looking back at the shadow portal, he tilted his head. "Interesting... just like... I can reach into light or water and retrieve things..." The snow fell in huge drifts, creating a snowy area.

The diamonds of the sky....

"Not quite. Eighty is enough that I would have to portal, but a good set of say...... upper sixties is enough for a good knock out." she replied pausing to open a second portal and return one of the diamonds. That stone reflected too much for her to keep it without trouble, and besides she had a very nice sapphire. "I haven't decided yet... and yes, I do. Fog holds many many uses for me as its just like the wind for you. It allows me to work everywhere that it rests. " Her brilliant silver eyes gleam as she turns over the sapphire in her palm. It was perhaps the size of a small coin, smooth as glass, but clearly distinguishable. Placing it in her pouch, she glanced in the portal before quickly closing it with a slight chuckle. She had not expected him to allow her to literally steal the Atlantean jewels. It was interesting to her, especially given their occupations. Yet, in away, she could see how it was benefitial to both sides. He was learning alot about her while she was learning alot about the area and some about him. A trade of sorts. Shaking the snow off her night colored wings, she gently picks up some of the snow into her palms and lightly blows it into the air so that it swirls among the other flakes. A winter wonderland. "Are you allowed to use the weather when where here?" she questioned.

Shiro smiled deviously, feeling her surprise. "Wow. Then you have a pretty good resistance, as the temperatures in the night here are really low..." Hearing the latter statement and action, he smiled. "Too heavy? And it's simple... there needs to be moisture somewhere, and you try to force your energy up into the sky to condense it around you. It's actually pretty easy if you try it." Nodding to his speech, Shiro sighed. Patting snow off his shoulders, he turned to Celeste's general direction. The snow fell in great drifts as he spoke. "Yes... and no. I can use my abilities, but I can't obstruct any Imperial going-ons. I'm allowed to though, if that's what you're asking?" Shiro finished the sentence with an almost questioning glance, something hard to pull off for a blind person.

"Yeah," she replied with a smile. "But more of too shiny." Her lips tilt in a smile as she shifts though the fogged shadows without thought, simply leaning and stepping ot where she wished to be. Each movement took her around the fountain, which she could clearly see in the darkness, as easily as if it were day. She was studying its form and the craftsmenship that had made it, the gentle smooth work of the fountain. SHe had seen his questioning look and answered as best she could for the question. He had essentially answered her. Working gently as she leans once again, she shifts so that she is on the other side of the fountain and slowly she closes her eyes solidifying her aura. Drawing out a thread she shifts and manipulaties it into a smaller version of the fountain, her eyes closed as she burns the image into her memory so she would be able to return without falling from the sky.

He walked up to the fountain, touching the features with his hand. "I wish I could see things like this at times, but my hands are the ones that see now..." The late afternoon sky was dark as night, covered completely from clouds. Turning to the side in an abrupt manner, he sighed. "Do you steal a lot?" Shiro smiled, not meaning it to be an insult. It was more of a question, since she seemed to manipulate the cold shadows of the night.

"What should we do now?" It was sudden, but sufficient. The clouds shifted, creating shapes in the air like birds, dogs, cats, and even a little person with wings.

"No," she replied. "Only on rare occasions. and I don't know... we're starting to get some wierd looks..." She had been aware of some of the more subtle glances that were coming their way. Not only because of her accent but aslo because of the fact they seemed to be natural oppisites who some how got along.

"Alright then...let's move to the... restaurant. We can have lunch there. Ok?" Shiro nodded, tilting his head. Glaring at some of the people around them, they seemed to walk away, not aware that he was blind.

"Alright," she replied following him. The jewel she simply tucked in her arm sheith's hidden compartment, and after brushing some of her auburn locks from her eyes, she heads off after him.
