It is an hour or so later than Kouyo ordinarily returns from work when Kumoru arrives at Setsushi's home, carrying the priest in his arms. With his hands occupied, the mage taps on the door with one foot, and awkwardly adjusts his hold on the High Priest so he will hopefully not drop him before he can be delivered to Setsushi.

Setsushi starts awake from where he had been dozing at the table. Dealing with all the craziness of the others' arrival had apparently left him exhausted.
"It is open," he begins, making his way to the door himself, and... boggling at the unconscious Kouyo. His head snaps towards Kumoru as he asks, "What happened to him?" the tone of his voice changing mid-sentence from shock to a bit of suspicion.

Kouyo looks more or less fine, wrapped up in his jacket in the human's arms, if perhaps a bit unhappy as he sleeps. His bottom lip is bleeding a little from a small cut, but otherwise he is unscathed.
The necromancer appears a bit ruffled, unusual for him, as he steps inside and looks for a place to leave Kouyo. "Please don't ask that," he sighs, then adds, "I really don't actually remember." He bows a bit uncomfortably, still holding the Porcelain and tells Setsushi, "Please trust me when I say he will wake up soon, and just take him from me.
"I was not sure he would return here on his own, but I would not know what to do with him, myself. He was not listening to anything I said, and so I had to put him under a spell." Kumoru shakes his head and gives Setsushi a pleading look. "You know him far better than I do, so...."

"Don't remember?" Setsushi asks unbelievingly, though he does not press the issue at the moment. Instead, he takes Kouyo from Kumoru's arms, taking him behind the screen and laying him on the bed, checking him over briefly for injuries.
One he appears comfortable, Setsushi reemerges, looking Kumoru over, his expression blank except for one crooked eyebrow. "Master often puts Kouyo under spells," he observes, in a neutral tone.

Kumoru yawns while Setsushi is behind the screen with Kouyo, then rubs his eyes with one hand before crossing his arms. "He placed me under a spell earlier, as well," he replies flatly. That was why he could not recall what all the Porcelain had done. "Kouyo is a quick learner."
"I also brought him here for you to care for, so I trust that he will be alright," the mage adds, perhaps a bit tersely. "Since he has told me nothing of whatever illness you say he has."

Setsushi does a mental double take. Kumoru did it in self-defense? Of sorts? That is strange -- Setsushi has hardly ever heard of Kouyo being violent or having a temper...
"You have no idea why?" Setsushi asks, worried now, sounding less suspicious. There must have been some sort of unusual situation to provoke that kind of behavior from Kouyo...

The necromancer shrugs and glances away, playing with his hair a little. "He was more anxious and upset than anything else for most of today. He ... did not try to harm me, though. I think he will be better off with you."
Kumoru is silent for a few moments, his fingers straying to his lips. Then he looks up at Setsushi again and suddenly asks, "Does the name Ranko mean anything to you?"

Setsushi's mouth twists a little, though he does not question further. He supposes he will ask Kouyo about all this later... Kumoru did say that would be soon?
Setsushi gives the human a somewhat confused look when he mentions the name. "Ranko?" he repeats. "Yes," he does know someone by that name, but... Why?
"... You are not affiliated with her?"

Kumoru shakes his head, starting to turn away a little. "No. I had not heard the name before. I know nothing about her."
The mage tucks his hands away in the opposite sleeves of his coat, then asks Setsushi with a small bow, "May I take my leave soon? I should return to my own home before too long, as I am also running late." He seems perhaps a bit anxious to leave.

Setsushi seems troubled, but bows slightly. "Certainly." Setsushi will take care of Kouyo. And shall Setsushi contact Kumoru after he recovers, so that the mage need not worry?

"Yes, thank you," Kumoru replies. He looks a bit troubled as well for a moment and opens his mouth to add something, but apparently thinks the better of it and says only, "Good night to you both," and bows.
He starts to head out, but stops briefly in the doorway. Without turning around, he quietly asks, "Do you know what she looked like?"

Setsushi stops in the midst of heading behind the screen again and turns his head towards Kumoru, wearing a puzzled expression. No... well, not exactly; why would Kumoru ask such a thing?

The necromancer shakes his head a little. "Just idle curiosity. Since Kouyo tells me so little about himself. Never mind."
He glances briefly over his shoulder back at Setsushi, then pushes the door open. "I hope he is feeling well enough to come back to work soon," he says, and heads out.

Setsushi nods slowly after Kumoru, already distracted by the churning of his mind. This is all very strange... There must be something Setsushi doesn't know. Either about this human, or about Kouyo...
... He goes to fix a small sandwich, then settles in the battered loveseat at the foot of the bed to watch over Kouyo. If he feels well when they awake, they must converse. If he does not, well, then...
Setsushi will be there to help.
