Here's a topic on the huge amounts of rain California has seen in the past few days. Most of the roads around here (High desert area) are flooded. Some freeways are closed, most back roads are closed too. Overall it's just plain wet. So, how's this recent rain effected you? Yesterday, it took me 9 hours to get home from Pheonix, Az, as opposed to the normal 6 hours. I had to wait for 2 1/2 hours in San Bernadino because the 215 was closed.

Yeah up here in North Cali it has rained quite a lot. And about a week or two ago we had a bunch of snow. I mean it was snowing Cats and Dogs and I had to drive in that. My school got canceled last friday because they thought it was going to snow, but when it actually did snow.....like today.....they still had school. But I didn't go!! I want to enjoy my warm home for once.
Oh god and last night it rained so much I though it was going to flood or my house was going to slide down the hill.

It's raining a lot over here in Santa Clara.
Not enough to flood us, per se, but enough to make me kinda worry. confused

Elainya I had to wait for 2 1/2 hours in San Bernadino because the 215 was closed. I'm petrified to go up the hill again. A while ago, my then girlfriend came down to Riverside from Hesperia and she couldn't go home for quite some time since the El Cajon pass was snowed in. Right now in riverside, it's pretty bad. My front yard is flooded and I practically have to float my damn car out of the driveway. gonk

Yeah, driving to school looked like a scene from Spirited Away. Y'know, the scene where the train is going through the flooded plain? It stopped raining finally yesterday, late. (It was snowing in the High Desert where I live, though) It's been sunny all day, but the water takes so long to evaporate in the desert that it'll be flooded for a while yet.

Thank God Wednesday the sun came out. I'm in Riverside and not in danger of mud slides like Malibu,( so grateful ) but I have a pool and it's rather close to my back door.
I'd say about 5 feet in one spot. I keep draining water out for fear it will spill over on to the deck and in to my house through the slider door.. It's a good thing too because it would have more then once by now. It's kind of scary. eek

Dammit, it should have been foggy day this morning! Evil, freaking school. All this rain does no good if no good thick fog becomes of it!

Rain or shine our PE teachers makes us run at least 1-5 miles each day at school.one of the reasons why sometimes half of the class is missing because of a cold biggrin
