Dr. Hart came out from the poke center, holding a small stack of letters. Deep purple eyes scanning the names, the unusually tall man walked away from the building, murmuring under his breath. Long white hair moving gently in the winter breeze, his black coat's tail swirling around him giving him more of a malignant aura. He grimace as he open a letter and began reading the rather loopy scribble.

An slightly-larger-then-usual Persian follow the man just a foot behind, milky blind eyes staring forward, giving little attention to the human until a fist suddenly slam into a lamp post. Faraon's ears perked up, rising his head. "Perrrsiiian?"

"Damn..." Adriel whispered under his breath, his eyes narrowing as his other hand crumple the letter. "...." He looked at the fist that hit the lamp post and his expression became far more demonic as he watched with mild fascination blood spilled from small gashes that had been created. His head shook and he started walking once again, the feline Pokemon following close after, pondering what had infuriated the normal calm trainer.

Still purple eyes looked towards the small empty Pokemon park and he walked towards it, stepping into the fence in area, a sigh escaped his lips, his breath visible in the cool air. Grabbing a pokeball that had been hidden by his coat and released a large pidgeot, who hover before him for a moment before flying to perch on a bench in front of a heated fountain. Adriel shook his head and walked over, sitting down and resting his head into his hands, forgetting the trickling blood running down his arm.

Phoebe had seen much of the town, but she had wanted to see more of it. However, she had been kept so busy lately with remodeling her new home, she hadn't been able to actually explore much more than her initial investigations of Katarina. She had been to one park very frequently, but today was a day for change.

"Today we're going to find another park to play in, Dakota!" she had exclaimed earlier, hands balled up into determined fists as she leaned over to let her Growlithe know why they were heading some place other than the park. The Puppy Pokemon didn't bark out, but instead just showed her teeth in a canine smile and waggled all that was left of her tail.

That was maybe a few hours ago. At the moment, both the red-headed breeder and her canine companion had just rounded past the Pokemon Center. When they came to town, they only made a brief stop there, and had not even noticed the smaller park maybe less than a block away. While the two entered the fenced in portion, Phoebe grinned and spoke to Dakota as if she was speaking to a child she was proud of: "See, now we have another place where we can go to keep you in shape!"

The black Growlithe matched the grin with her own version, however, her ear twitched. Blinking her brown eyes silently, the Pokemon turned her head to what she had heard. Her body seemed to grow more alert, and she lifted her right paw as she finally focused on something in this new park. It had a beak, and wings, and it LANDED on one of those funny things that humans sat on. It was a BIRDY!!!!

The tomboy didn't catch on quite as quickly, but when she finally spotted what had her puppy's attention, only two words came out of her mouth: "Uh oh!" Before she could give a command, Dakota had run off, barking in an excited manner as to give chase to the large bird Pokemon.

"Growlithe, Growl growl growl!!!" The Puppy Pokemon dashed towards the Pidgeot at full speed. This wasn't going to end well.

Adriel's head shoot up from his hands as he heard the Pokemon approaching. Purple eyes widen as he rose to his feet and away from the wench just as the pidgeot let out a surprise screech and tried to take off.

Faraon seemed completely unaware of what exactly was going on, but the feline stood just as suddenly and leaped onto the bench, turning his head in the direction of the approaching puppy. The Classy Cat Pokemon let out a startling loud roar, baring large sparkling fangs.

At first, Dakota seemed fine and dandy, running up at the Pidgeot and starting to give chase, even though the other Pokemon was now airborne. However, something startled the Growlithe. "Growl?!!" the puppy yelped out at the Persian's roar. She stopped in her tracts and braced herself a bit, looking to the feline. Despite being intimidated, the fire-type would still hold her ground.

Phoebe, who got a late start, had jogged up after her puppy and saw the whole mess. Lifting up a hand, she first shouted out an apology as she waved a hand out in a friendly manner.

"Sorry about that, Dakota really likes to chase bird Pokemon for fun. She used to do that back home!" Once she was where her Pokemon was standing, the red-head immediately spoke in a bit of a stern voice to make sure the black Growlithe knew she was serious.

"Watch me."

Brown eyes immediately found their way to the breeder.

With a single gesture, the trainer pointed down to the ground and gave her command: "Down."

The puppy lay down with a bit of a grunt that sounded similar to swinub.

Now that had been taken care of, the red-head turned to the trainer and offered her apologies once more. "My name's Phoebe. Sorry about that, we're pretty new to this area... tryin' t'find places to let 'er exercise, run around. Hopefully we didn't scare yer Pokemon too much." As a friendly gesture, she offered a hand for a simple handshake.

Adriel smirked slightly, rubbing the side of his head slightly as he watched the other trainer. The blood-less hand landed on the Persian's head, calming him. "Its...fine..." The man said, voice sounding flat. "She's well trained."

His eyes settle on the hand held out and was about to take it when he notice the dry blood all over it. Pulling his hand back, he gave an apologetic look Phoebe before retrieving a paper towel from his messenger bag and damping it in the fountain's warm waters. "I am Dr. Hart." He answered simply. His sinister aura reminded as he cleaned the blood from his hand. Once done, he threw the bloody paper away and stood on his full height of six feet five inches. "She only scared Writer..." The dulling purple eyes looked around, they saw no sign of the bird pokemon. "....He'll come back once he calms down."

Phoebe noted how this guy seemed to have less-than-clean hands, and simply put her hand down. He obviously had meant to shake her hand, so she made no issue of the lack of doing the action. The red-head couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the mention of her Pokemon's training. "Well, wish I could take the credit fer her trainin', but Ma and Pa are the reasons she's so obedient."

In her head, she could hear her mother fawning over the fact that this man was a doctor, and could almost hear her mother's voice whispering how she should try to marry such a man. Phoebe was less than thrilled with this thought and her nose crinkled up for a moment in mental distaste.

Hoping to make conversation, she attempted to string the conversation along: "So, yer a doctor, eh? People doctor or Pokemon doctor?" She couldn't help thinking how strange this man already seemed, with his height and the way he spoke so plainly, without much emotion. Maybe that was how doctors were supposed to talk?

Dakota remained in the down position, seeing as she hadn't been released from such a command. However, it didn't mean she had to stare at her trainer for the whole time. Her brown eyes wandered. First thing she looked at was the sky, as if trying to locate the birdy she had scared away. When the proved fruitless, she then took a better look at the feline that had roared at her. Where many puppy Pokemon would probably find excitement in chasing a cat Pokemon, Dakota could find little interest. Certainly, it was someone new, but they weren't as fun to herd as bird Pokemon or fish Pokemon. Either way, she offered a bit of a puppy-smile, baring her teeth as if she was going to snarl, though her intentions weren't foul in the slightest. She had no clue the Persian was unable to see a thing.

Taking a bandage roll out, he wrapped it around his bleeding hand tightly as she spoke, nodding his head, showing he was listening. When he was question, he raised an eyebrow. "Pokemon doctor, thought I have injure myself and found enough injured Pokemon trainers that I suppose you could say I also heal people."

In truth, he presented himself as doctor because he had enough experience to be one, he just didn't have the official training. Thought, taking in count he worked in a Pokemon hospital for most of his life...His grandfather, the owner and head doctor of said hospital, kept calling him doctor until Adriel relented and began to present himself as such.

The Persian'watched' the pup, thought was unaware of the friendly expression the other was showing him. An ear twitched towards his trainer, taking in the monotonous tone. Sighing, he bite him on the rear. The human yelped and glare at the feline, rubbing the spot. "What the hell?!" He growled.

"Persssian..."

"Alright, so I am in a foul-mood that doesn't give you permission to bite me!"

The feline tilted his head towards the female human then turned his head to his trainer, electricity sparking in from his whiskers. "Perrrrr?" He purred questioningly.

"Ok....electrocution would not had been nicer." He looked at Phoebe, giving her a true warm smile. "Sorry, it seems Faraon here thinks I been a bit of a jerk. He's right." He held out the hand that wasn't bandage. "I apologize, you caught me on a bad day...I normally not this dull..." His steel blue eyes sparkle.

Letting out a friendly chuckle at the man's response to which type of patient he treated, she nodded her head vigorously. "That makes a lot of sense!"

Then the doctor got the royal treatment of being bitten on his butt. She smirked, but she managed to swallow her giggles down so she didn't seem rude. "Faraon seems quite observant despite the lack of sight." She had noticed earlier how the feline was acting to the world and figured there was some sort of vision impairment. With all the time she spent with Grace, Dakota's half-sister, she knew rather well how to treat Pokemon that weren't gifted with sight.

Offering her hand again, she smiled anyways and commented "I don't think you were dull. Maybe under the weather, but definitely not dull. If you were dull, you wouldn't have named your Pokemon such lovely names. Faraon and Writer was it?" She edged her way towards the Persian and placed a hand before its snout. Animals that couldn't see usually didn't like just being petted out of nowhere, at least that was the way it was for Grace. However, poor Grace also had hearing impairments too, leaving her doubly helpless.

Dakota, who had still been watching the feline, stopped smiling after a bit. Oh! Her trainer was there now! Having the attention span of a Goldeen, Dakota waggled her nub as if she hadn't seen her trainer for a long time.

Sniffing the hand being held out to him, taking in the scent, ears pulling in the tone of the girl's voice. "Perrrr..." He gave his approval as he nuzzled his cool nose against her fingers.

"Songwriter, actually. Writer is just easier to call out in haste, I suppose." He smiled and looked at Faraon. "Indeed....but he is special train to notice certain things....just as your puppy is train for...I'll guess herding by the lack of tail. Thought by her size, I am unsure what?"

The feline's ears twitched and he gave a cat grin towards his trainer. "Of course, I can't take credit for his special training, any other training he has, I suppose its my fault." He rolled his eyes. "Thought I am at fault of his special training." He mutter and crouch down to look at Dakota closely. "Peculiar little one, aren't ya?"

Attention span? What was that? Dakota certainly didn't know the meaning of it, whatever it meant. When the other human leaned forward to take a gander at her, the puppy Pokemon's attention immediately went to him. Her whole rear end was wagging and hardly staying on the ground at this point. In greeting, she bared her teeth for another smile.

Phoebe crossed her arms and jut a hip slightly to the side. "It's a bit unfair t'judge 'er by 'er size, y'know!" She let out a chuckle, mainly as a signal that she wasn't really hurt by the notion. "Ma and Pa usually had 'er practicin' on ranch Pokemon. S'pose a prime example would be a Tauros."

At that moment, she uncrossed her arms and looked up into the sky. She shaded her eyes with one hand. "Wonder when yer Songwriter will be back...?"

The white haired doctor laughed softly at the growlithe's display of friendliness. He held out one hand to her as his eyes turned for a moment on the trainer mockingly scolding him. "Indeed, that is something I shouldn't do, knowing the better. Thought I say that by her size I was unsure of what she herd, I never said she couldn't do large herds or pokemon, it was you who assumed I was talking about that." He shared a smile as he turned back to the pup. "Besides, with Tauros, the smaller the herder, the better if you are planning to keep your herder dog alive."

"Hmmm...?" He rose back to his feet and let out a loud whistle. The pidgeot dived down from the clouds and towards them, displaying his large wings when he turned to just circle the park. Keeping a weary yellow eye on the growlithe as Faraon let out a something that sounded like a bark-like laugh when he sensed Songwriter's unease. Adriel just rolled his eyes. "He comes back when I signal is safe...whenever or not he actually believes me" He said at higher voice for the bird to hear. "Its his choice."

Wasn't that whistle loud? It certainly got Dakota's attention (AGAIN). Her ears perked up and she gave her full attention to this pale-haired human. She had no clue why he'd want her attention, but she then figured it out. HE OBVIOUSLY WANTED TO RUB HER PAW!!! With a slight puppy-grunt, she extended her paw and attempted to grab onto his shoe with her paw.

Phoebe glanced up to the sky and waved a hand to the large bird Pokemon as it circled in the air. "Good thing Songwriter didn't do the whistle, otherwise she'd be trying to chase 'im all over again!" It was safe to call the Pokemon by nickname or by species name. Dakota's vocabulary was good, but only certain key words got her attention. Once more returning her attention to her own Pokemon, she saw the sign.

"Uh oh, looks like she wants ya t'rub her paw..."

Adriel gave a confuse look and turn his attention back on the puppy. "Oh, it would seem so. " Crouching down again, he grabbed the offer paw and began rubbing it lightly, wondering if this is what the girl had been talking about.

"Hmmm? I suppose, thought I don't blame Dakota. I used to run through flocks of pidgeys and swablus. Though pidgeots are not my thing on that area....far too big for a six year old to frighten up into the sky."
PostPosted: Tue Jan 20, 2009 10:12 pm

Dakota panted contently, and remained quite pleased with the attention she was getting. Until she realized something. Only one paw was getting attention. Knowing that other paw would get jealous, she lifted up her other paw so now that both were either being held by or perched on this human's hand. That would fix the problem, or at least that was what the puppy Pokemon had decided at least.

Phoebe couldn't help but chuckle. The doctor hadn't exactly put out an aura of being carefree, let alone being a carefree kid. Trying to imagine a younger version of anybody was always difficult, but this was even more tricky since the man had facial hair ((OOC: That's if I recall correctly xD )). "Well, if that was the reason that she chased them, then I couldn't blame her either. I think she actually wants to catch one, someday."

The man raised an eyebrow as he took the other paw in his other hand and began rubbing the top with his thumb gently. His eyes rose to peeked at the chuckling trainer, wonder what had cause it. "I would fear seeing that day come, in medic's type of way, of course." He smiled gently.

Faraon licked Phoebe's fingers before nuzzling his nose against her palm, his breath vibrating with the purrr that resound from his chest. He wanted some attention as well, lets face it.

[you recalled correctly XD]
