Fire vs. Electric: Sparks are flying  800/800 vs.  800/800 Quote: To explain this. You would always (unless they don't have it) post the cert picture of the pogeys that are battling. It could be 1 pogey for each or up to 6 (which has never been done yet). We are going to do just a simple battle. No HP boosting (which can only be gained by getting 5 battles or more), no status changing (Frozen, Sleep, Poison & etc) and no stats changing (+/-DEF & +/-ATK) Now I will roll for a field. (Rolling a ONE 12-sided dice) 1st Stage Pogey starts off as 800 (unless they gain HP boost) 2nd Stage Pogey starts off as 900 (unless.....same as above) 3rd. Stage/Final Stage Pogey starts off as 1000 (unless...same as above)

Kayla walked into the battle stadium and could already smell the fresh air of a grass field. It was nice to be in a field that wasn't too hot, or too cold, or too dirty. This was perfect. Even more so to train and teach a new trainer in the making.
All she is now was waiting for her opponent. Hopefully, the new trainer doesn't get too nervous.
Alex was sitting down quietly at her feet as she groomed her self, keeping her coat nice and shiny. She knew that battling will mess up her coat but no matter. Kayla will make sure it gets clean again. Quote: Now is a good time for you to roll, Unplug. XD If you make a mistake then no worries. ^__^

Left, right, left, right.
One foot after the other. Rhythm was all Ave could really concentrate on at the moment. Footsteps, her hammering heart, the swaying grass she could now see ahead of her, and the small thudding noises Shaun's hooves made as he walked with her. He had never been one for making an entrance from a Pokeball. Too expected.
Shaun bleated anxiously as they came closer to the grassy feild. It looked like a pasture. One might think a sheep would feel at home in such a place. And they would be right. A sheep, most certainly, but not a Mareep. To Shaun, a pasture was a place to contain a slow witted Miltank, or an unruly Tauros. But not a Mareep. It just made him feel stupid, and tossed in with all the other livestock.
"Here we are, Shauny. Let's try not to much of a Clustermuck of things." Ave ran a hand over her partner's soft head as she stopped still, Shaun continuing into the feild.

Ave would have waved back, had her arms not been as heavy and limp as rubber lead.
This changed quickly, though. As soon as Shaun was engulfed by those flames, she was back to herself. Albeit a slightly more alert version of herself, but herself all the same.
Shaun bleated, obviously rather irritated with this whole thing. He shook off the last of the flames, loud popping noises sputtering from his thick wool coat.
"Something simple, Shaun." Ave called to her singed partner. "Thundershock!"
Happy to oblige, Shaun quickly charged up, little static pulses would be seen jumping through his woolly fur. And as quickly as the charge came, it left him, jolting down towards his opponent.
This'll show that Vulpix to mess with my good wool day! Shaun assured himself.

"Vulpix!" Alex nodded before she started darting towards the sheep. One second she was on one side of the field of grass before you know it, there she was on the other side of the field, getting closer and closer. When the vulpix was in range, Alex attempted to slam into Shaun.Quote: 700/800Oh and another thing. In normal battles, there would be a limit of 4 moves total. But it resets after being switched out if there is more than one pokemon battling on your team. This battle has no limit. The more you battle, the more experience you get at it.

Shaun bleated in surprise as he was slammed, and went rolling to the side. The fluffiness of his coat made it difficult to get back up, but he managed, only to find that he had a throbbing pain in one side from Alex's attack.
"Not to worry, Shaun!" Ave called, knowing that her Mareep could take much more. "Use Discharge!"
Shaun didn't have to power up for this one at all. He already had static built up from the fibers of his wool coat rubbing together at his every move. Not to mention the surplus of energy from his last attack. He gathered all this energy into one pin point, and aimed it directly at Alex as he let it loose, tumbling back from the force.
He wasn't quite used to this.

Kayla and Alex saw the attack coming and both knew what to do. Kayla shouted "Dodge it!" the moment Alex did.
It was a close call but, luckily, Alex managed to escape unharmed.
"Niice work, girl! Now let's show them Iron Tail!"
"Vulpix!" Alex replied in acknowledgment before charging at the mareep. As she was getting closer, her tails started to glow silver and harden as it got stronger. When the vulpix was in range, she leap into the air and did a 180 degree spin, tail aimed for Shaun.Quote: 700/1000 Of course, being a 1, it was a miss. ^__^;

Shaun rolled again, now even more irritated than before.
One should be wary of short tempered Sheep.
Quickly, Shaun was on his feet again, impatient for his next move.
"Two can play at that game." Ave murmured. One should be just as wary of short tempered red heads as their sheep. "Try your Iron Tail!"
Shaun bleated, stamping his hooves in the grass as he shot forward, his striped tail polishing to a silvery shine as he charged.
And with a dramatic battle cry, he dug his front hooves into the dirt, His front was rooted, but his backside kept going around, that silvery tail swinging around like a wrecking ball at his opponent.

Alex was caught unaware of the quickness of Shaun's attack that she didn't have time to dodge it and took the full blow. Because of this, the vulpix was sent flying before she skidded to a halt, causing a shallow ditch of grass and dirt from the impact.
"Alex!" Kayla cried out. "You okay!"
Alex got to her feet but not as quickly as she did the first time. This battle was tough and it was just a newbie in training too.
Kayla looked at the other trainer at the other side of the field. She was going to be an awesome trainer and with that Mareep, they will be a hard rival to win against but that won't stop them!
"Alex, counter that with Dig!"
"Vul!" With that, Alex immediately went under ground and dung out of sight. It wasn't long before Alex emerged from the ground and aimed straight at the sheep again.

The attack sent Shaun flying. Ground attacks. Shifty.
Shaun stood, taking a moment to steady himself before he shook the dirt from his fleece.
"We're doing great, Shaun!" Ave called to her partner. That hit was amazing! But it would take much more than that to take Alex down. She was strong.
"Lets get another hit like that one! Thunder!"
Shaun's coat expanded to twice it's original volume as electricity was quickly gathered and released as the most powerful force of nature an Electric Pokemon could handle. Thunder.
The bolt shot into the sky, and right back down, aimed at Alex.

"Oh no! Another Thunder attack!" Kayla worried quietly as the storm clouds started to form again. Kayla could already see that Alex was starting to tire out and she wasn't sure if she could escape this attack.
"Dodge it Alex!" But Kayla's command came a little too late. Alex looked up at the storming clouds and was suddenly hit, full force. "Vullllllll.....!" The shiny vulpix took a direct hit and as soon as the attack had subsided, residue of the electric attack sparked all over Alex's body, leaving a lingering pain in it's wake.
"Alex!" Kayla shouted in worry. "You okay!?"
"Vulllll....Vulpix." Her legs were already trembling under her but she tried to shake off the pain and waited for Kayla's command.
Smiling weakly. "Alright girl. Let's try this. Fire Spin!"
Alex took a deep breathe and released another awesome flame attack in hope to trap the electric pokemon.
