Battlefield:
This fight will take place in a secluded area in the forest, so no one else would interfere. It's a normal section of the woods, with trees and rocks everywhere. Except that a recent resident in this area has filled the place with flowers, that blanket the ground but don't do much else besides smelling and looking nice.

After that incident with humans a couple days ago, the Shaymin spent most of the time in the forest, away from even other wild Pokemon. It was boring, and she was aching for something to do, but she needed to rest up or she'll be forced to call up those shiny tangelas again...
Bryghtstar stood still, believing that she heard something in the bushes. Another Pokemon? A trainer? Whoever it was, she better leave or prepare for a battle.

Chaos sniffed the air. It smelled like there was some sort of pokemon up ahead, but it also smelled flowery... He followed his nose until he spotted the shaymin. Well, it would be good training, perhaps.
He lowered himself into a crouch and approached slowly, trying to back the plant pokemon into a corner. This one wasn't going to escape!

Bryghtstar meeped when she saw the Absol. She didn't know what he was here for or if Absols eat Shaymins or not, but she didn't care to find out. No doubt that he was faster than her too if she tried to run away, so the only choice left was to fight.
"Shaaaaaaaaay!" Her flowers and entire body seemed to glow green as she concentrated her power. "MIN!"
And the power was released in a bright flash, as a move called Seed Flare by humans.

Chaos leaped to on side, but the Seed Flare still hit him. He growled before opening his mouth. Out of nowhere, a spark of flame appeared. In next to no time, a huge fireball was flying at Bryghtstar, burning everything in its path-- a Fire Blast. The flowers that were too close blackened and were reduced to ash. A few sparks flew onto trees, which were thankfully damp. Everything smoldered with a sudden heat.
Chaos licked his chops, tasting smoke. Had he gotten that strange glowey ball of grass?

Bryghtstar thought that Absols were Dark types. Not fire! How could he possibly know a Fire attack like that?
Whimpering a bit, she took cover behind a tree before the Fire blast scorched it. She was able to survive at least, but now it was burnt black and she felt bad for using it as a shield. The Shaymin frowned and concentrated a bit of her energy to make flowers spring up around it. It'll do for now.
But the Absol was still there. And seed flares weren't going to cut it. Turning to face him, she dashed over... and gave him a Sweet Kiss on the cheek. That oughta confuse him!

Chaos wasn't going to be distracted by a random attack like that! He took advantage of her nearness instead and ejected a Flamethrower at the poor Shaymin.
The flames shot forth like water from a fire hose. After a few seconds, he cut off the flow. He must've gotten her! In the meantime, he wiped off the kiss. What was wrong with that patch of grass?

The poor Shaymin was again blasted with another fire attack. This time, she didn't have anything to hide behind and was scorched.
Bryghtstar was determined to fight to the end though. Or at least run when she really had no chance of winning. The future of this battle was still up in the air.
"Shay!" She jumped behind a rock and curled up into a ball. She would've looked like a bunch of flowers if it wasn't for the black burnt marks on her. But at least it provided some defense.

Chaos watched the small pokemon curl up. The corner of his mouth twitched. Soon he was wearing an unmistakable smirk. He step forward and leaned close to Bryghtstar, his red eyes glowing ominously. "Hah," he breathed on her, his cruel smile still etched on his lips.
That leer would lower her defense!

Bryghtstar eeped as the Absol came close enough to leer at her and scare her out of her curl. She instinctively ran across the 'battlefield' as fast as her little legs could carry her. Maybe he was trying to cook her with all those fire attacks and that was his latest attempt to eat her!
"Shaymin!" She didn't want to be a snack though! Focusing her energy again, she unleashed another flare of light at her opponent.

Chaos countered the flare with another ball of fire, making a Fire Blast. The attacks met in midair, making most of the flares burn out as the fireball continued on its path.
Some of the seed flares hit their target, however, making Chaos growl. That little bouquet wasn't going down as easily as he had thought at first!

Not another one! She was so taken by surprise that she forgot to dodge or hid behind something. The Fire Blast made her screech a bit as her flowers were burnt. Again. This battle wasn't going well at all!
Panting as she waddled over to the Absol, she hoped that he wouldn't attack her as she hopped up onto a rock and leaned over to kiss him again. This was really her only strategy now.

Chaos reared back; what the heck?! That kissing bundle of flowers really had him confused now... What was going on? Chaos clumsily wiped the kiss away again. He shook his head, but things weren't any clearer.
Oh, never mind that! Chaos summoned up another spark of fire. He did his best to aim correctly, then released a stream of flames in a Flamethrower. He hoped that he didn't burn himself!
((Edit: Wow, I'm lucky. xD;; That means that Bryghtstar fainted.))

Bryghtstar had hoped that her Sweet kiss would confuse him enough to prevent another fire attack. She was caught off guard by his breakthrough and couldn't block or dodge it in time anyway.
"Shaaaaaaaaaay..." She was really tired. Too tired to fight anymore. And she didn't want to be burnt into cinders at this rate. Falling off the rock she was on, she collapsed into unconsciousness, curling up into a ball of black flowers in the process.
