THE ELECTRIC FIELD!!

The field is completely flat; no bumps or hills can be located. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field on each side are six electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These create a static discharge across the field and in the air itself for one reason: a metal piping that outlines the edges of the field floats several feet above the towers themselves, held up by the discharge. During the battle, the piping can release lightning at random points on the field due to the amount of buildup them possess. This ensures that your pokemon stay moving during throughout the entire battle.This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Renekai bounced happily up to her podium and thoughtlessly placed her hand on the metal rail in the trainer's box. She immediately pulled it away as she received an electric shock. "Ouch!" she said, waving her hand through the air. "Oh well; this field could very well help us. Go on out, Chaos!"

Chaos burst from his pokeball and took his place calmly. Another day, another battle, another step closer to revenge.

"I think that I'm battling Sienna again... After this, Frey will have fought all of my pokemon!" Renekai said, laughing a bit.

Sienna made the same mistake as Renekai and leaned on the trainer-box railing, receiving a shock. 'Uh-oh. Frey's not so good against electricity.' Sienna thought, unconsciously sucking on her shocked hand. With her other hand she threw Frey's pokeball into the air, shouting a muffled 'Let's go Frey~!' .

Frey made his entrance onto the Electric field in a flash of red light. He hovered above the field, wary of this one's ability. A random spark danced in from of him in the air and he flew backwards a bit.

"Charge Beam!" Renekai shouted. She felt confident that this battle would come out well for them.

Chaos tossed his head. A yellow ball that sparked white formed above his red horn, growing in size. The towers that kept the field charged hummed even louder. At last, when Chaos was satisfied that this would do sufficient damage, he released the orb into a shaft of lightning that flew at Frey.

Despite Frey's efforts to dodge, the pidgeotto was not as fast as lightning. The Charge Beam struck him, sending sparks flying through the air and dancing across his body.

Sienna frowned, expressing her distress at their type disadvantage. Then Sienna remembered their next move. "Mirror Move!" If they couldn't go for a hit, at least they could try and paralyze their opponent.

Frey nodded silently, then opened his beak to collect the stray sparks that still danced and jumped in the air. The electricity built up in a glowing sphere, and the towers at the corners of field responded with their own sparks of electricity. The pidgeotto finally released the Charge Beam, aimed carefully to paralyze Beautiful Chaos.

Frey took the hit from the Charge Beam, excess sparks flew off his feathers where it hit.

"Feather Dance!" Sienna commanded. If they were going to be under a type disadvantage the whole battle, they could at least try and soften the blows.

Frey beat his wings, sending fluffly down feather flying into the air. The feathers tangled with the sparks still dancing in the air, burning some of the feathers on their decent towards Beautiful Chaos.

"Charge Beam!" Renekai repeated.

Knowing what his trainer meant, Chaos tore his eyes away from the dance of the feathers and instead charged up another beam. Instead of firing it, however, he dispersed it around his body. The harmless and exhilarating move was enough to raise his attack once more.

Sienna smacked herself. How could she forget that Charge Beam could...well, charge?
No use in worrying about it now. "Mirror Move!"

Frey opened his beak and began to gather stray sparks. Once it was fully charged, he mirrored his opponent and raised his attack by releasing it around himself.

Renekai dully wondered when the stat boosting would be over. "Calm Mind!"

Chaos stood stock still and closed his eyes, focusing his power. Although he appeared to be vulnerable in this state, it was quite the opposite. With vision eliminated, his other senses intensified at the gentle prodding of his unconscious mind. He was calm, yet alert. Blind, yet seeing.

He was ready for anything.

Sienna decided that continuing the mini-war of status effecting moves was best, for now. "Mirror Move again!"

Frey mimicked the absol and closed his green eyes, focusing and calming his mind.

Well, there's only one thing left to do, Renekai thought. "Leer!"

Chaos put on his best, most fearsome snarl. His fangs dripped and appeared red in the reflected light of the field towers. He splayed his claws and crouched, his hackles raised. Finally, an awful howling growl emanated from the back of his throat. The growl was enough to strike hopelessness into the bravest heart. The Absols were not called Disaster Pokemon for nothing.

Renekai shivered at the power of the Leer attack. Well, at least that was the end of the stat wars.

Frey felt the effects of the Calm Mind being stolen away quickly with the absol's powerful leer. Frey cringed at the sound of the absol's gruelsome howl.

Sienna 'eep!'ed mentally at the sight of Beautiful Chaos's leer. He was definitly powerful. Sienna wracked her mind for a move that might give them an advantage. Oh there's one! "U-Turn!" Sienna commanded, ending the stat-war.

Frey obeyed and flew at the absol to strike it, planning to quickly fly back to his side of the field after the attack was delivered.

Chaos winced at the attack, then retaliated with one of his own. He must not lose! The beam followed Frey as he flew.
