Eidi paced back and forth below her tree. It wasn't exactly "hers" per say, but she liked to think of it as her own, her secret garden. A place where she could escape Skimble, a fatherly hyena that she stayed with, Daroo, a forgetful little seer who was convinced that she was her mom, and everyone else in the world.
She needed a break from it all. It was unusual for Eidi to be this stressed, and what was most frightening for the cheetah was the things she was thinking about.
She was wondering about her past, her old life before Skimble that she had run away from. She was growing up.
Restless, Eidi turned towards the tree and dragged her claws across it, leaving marks in the bark.

Janja Kep walking. Her bones were tired from the hunt and lack of sleep. The adrenaline from the chase and the blood that stained her maw had long since gone, but she was still sleepy. She still held her head high and walked with a graceful gait. It wasn't unusual to hid her exhaustion. It seemed like she was trying to convince herself of this more than anyone else.
The red-brown wild dog let her eyes stray from her path now and then. After all, she was looking for a new place to have a den. Something a little safer than the one she resided in now.
She put her nose to the air, looking for water and soft soil. Soil wasn't what she scented though. A cheetah. Frantically, Janja's eyes looked for the source of the scent. It was still fresh. She stood on her path and gave a swivel of her head looking for the cheetah.
Alas, she spotted it. Right near a tree and clawwing the bark.

Eidi worked vigorously, shredding the bark to pieces. She wasn't angry, she hardly ever got angry unless someone was being sarcastic, she just wanted something to keep her attention for now. The little brown cheetah didn't want a wandering mind.
A sudden scent caught her off guard, and she turned, bark still clinging to her claws, and caught the wild dogs eyes. Glancing down self consciously at her paws, she shook off the remaining bark and smiled.
"Gooday there!" She pipped, nodding towards her.
"I was...decorating." She mumbled quietly, glancing back at the tree and returning her attention to the wild dog.

Janja was caught a bit offgaurd by the cheerful composure of the cheetah. It took a moment to get over her shock befire she replied. "G-good day to you as well," She responded almost hesitantly. The adrenaline that rushed into her system faded away rapidly and she took a few steps towards the cheetah.
A short chuckle managed to escape Janja. It was laced with amusement, mirth, and a slight bit of nervousness. It wasn't everyday one would run into a cheetah. Janja was naturally jumpy when tired anyhow.

"It's actually quite relaxing, really." Eidi tried to convince her, nodding towards the tree.
She bounded forward so she was only a few feet from her the wild dog, grinning happily.
"It's been forever since I ran into someone. Well, not really. I met a cub last night, she was crazy. Really. She thought she knew me, but I didn't know her. Funny, huh?" Eidi chuckled loudly, shaking as she laughed. She was a bit overzealous, but friendly no less.

Janja gave a slightly nervbous nod and a hesitant smile. Perhaps it was relaxing. She had never tired it before, you know?
Suddenly, the cheetah bounded closer. It was a bit... Quick, and Janja almost took off. Her muscles tensed in aniticipation to flee, but she calmed quickly as the female started to speak. She seemed friendly enought.
"That is a bit strange," Janja commented. The dog's nose twitched. Eidi smelt of trees, probably from the bark she had just clawed. A thoughtful look crossed Janja's face for a brief moment, one a second maybe.
"I'm called Janja," She told the cheetah.
