AIM Log -- Felyn & DFA
Ipentshisi & Ukatazaji

The cubs were growing, and growing quickly, and with their growths it was easy to see her plan coming to life. Her companions' cubs were still a long time growing to any age of use yet, but their training of mind had begun, and once they were old enough she could begin her scourge on the world. She could purge this mortal realm of every wrong doer, of every tainted soul, and restore some semblance of peace and humanity. Yes, she could, and she would. Oh, but she would.

A light smirk curled her maw as she trotted along, a distance from their rogue dens. She had come out here, so far along, to think, though she knew Ikhti lingered near like a guardian angel. He was a good boy, her son, always watching out for his mother. As warming as that thought was, however, it was not the reason that the second jumble of ideas crossed her mind, or at least, not the root of it. She needed more soldiers for her army, of her blood or not, but with hers cubs grown so much now it seemed that she was the best candidate to provide them.

She needed another litter, to grow and shape to her ways, to show the light and truth in this world. She let out a soft sigh as she sat down upon the warm, hard earth beneath her. Where was that dark angel of hers?

He was.... upset. But then again, he was keen on denying the truth in such a feeling; why ever would he be upset? He had no reasons to be upset, so thus, it could not be true. Frustrated, Uka, let out a light snort of a breath as he padded the roguelands. Muhali was in kizingo'zaa, over looking something or other that she'd felt the need to; the birth of the new heirs, she'd said.

The fact that she had felt the need to go look over the mortals of the pride rather than acompaign him had frustrated the large god, but then again, he was denying that much too and wasn't really admiting to it. It had got him to thinking though; Ushaufu had mated a mortal, and Muhali seemed horribly attatched to the mortals of her pride... to the point she called them her singing stars. Uka knew the goddess would have felt horribly alone without them, even with him by her side.

Did that mean mortals held some sort of power that he had so far ignored? He wasn't sure, but he figured it was high time he found out. Hence why he had chosen to pad the land without a disguise... he did keep his poker face and a heavy lidded gaze though, almost as if he couldn't care less what happened around him.

Well, that was not quite the dark angel she had been expecting, but she couldn't deny the truth for what it was when he appeared. One moment she was casually grooming a paw, as if unconcerned with the world around her, and the next her attention was riveted on a dark figure that was stalking in her direction (though without really seeming to) from the distance. He was a god, oh of that much she was sure. The great wings on his back gave that away as surely as every other oddity about him. Oh, but how graced was their group? Four different gods to have met these mortals souls.

She pushed herself to her feet, motioning with a paw behind her for the ever-present Ikhti to go home. Oh, he thought he had been clever and silent, but she heard as he cursed beneath his breath and turned to leave. She would not tolerate him interferring with this.

With that having been done, she turned her brilliant teal eyes up to stare at the approaching figure, until he was close enough that she could speak. "What brings such an admirable presence down among us lowly mortals?" she said, as conversationally as if she had known him her whole life. She was an odd one.

He'd been pondering deeply and thus did not notice the female's approach till she spoke to him. Then again, Uka rarely paid much attention to mortals; he'd always thought them bellow him, in the way a human would have thought a dog or a cat bellow him... they were cute and made adorable pets, but they were not nearly as important as Uka thought himself to be.

His strange colored eyes turned tp focuss on the lioness, heavy lidded and with might have looked like a storm brewing behind the carefuly lifted wall, "I was merely thinking," he drawled out bluntly, honestly, "Nothing more, nothing less," he could not deny that this was a valid chance for him to take, and thus, he allowed himself to stop walking in favour of paying attention to her, "You look determined," despite the ever present poker face, there was a tingue of curiosity in his eyes.

She couldn't help the slight smirk that curled the corner of her lip, even if she knew she should have been more humble in the presence of a god. Dath had never been half so observant. For all his strength and glory, observation and strength of mind were not numbered very highly among his skills at the best of times. No, but this god seemed to be more than a little more capable of picking things out.

"What would I have to be determined over, other than perhaps speaking to one such as yourself?" her brow rose thoughtfully as she tilted her head, looking up at him at him. She would have to try different tactics with this one, for right away he seemed quite different than Dath. She wondered, in the back of her mind, what he reigned over. It was always a curiosity, and good to know when dealing with her cubs. Dath's nature shone brightly in a few of his children.

"Ah," he murmured as he lifted his eyes to the sky, looking at the clouds, "There could be a number of reasons for such a determination; hunger for power, love, hunger for food, need for something. There are many things..." he loweed his gaze back upon her, tilting his head to one side, "Then again, you could very well deny those reason," he was by far a large god; easily larger than Ushaufu was, and far more physical looking, however, Uka was more prone to thinking than lashing out. He'd never felt the need to, in all honesty, and had only lashed out on the rare ocassion that he had been threatened.

"You have a reason for the determination you hold... for wanting to talk to me, have you not? Otherwise you would be rather irrational, and I'm afraid that is out of the questions eeing as how she is not acompaining me today," a mild spark of frustration flashed through his eyes then, however, it was gone just as soon as it came, "It's hardly common for someone to talk to Denial."

She listened to his rambling little speech, following it though wondering what sort of relevance it had. He seemed almost like a philospher type, which could prove her efforts here futile. She had met more than one of these sorts before and sometimes they managed to defy the root of their male nature. That would be most unlucky for her, but she supposed it would serve her right for trying to fool a god.

"Denial, is it?" she said, a look of consideration on her face. It wasn't something she had ever considered to actually exist, but then, she supposed if she had ever thought of something she might as well have assumed that it existed somewhere. The way he spoke, referring to irrationality as a 'she', and with a phyiscal form no less, it seemed that that to had a immortal representation. Her knowledge just expanded day by day.

"I spoke to you because I have great respect for gods," she began, shrugging her shoulders lightly and sending the necklaces around her neck to clicking against one another, "though my determination may not be something for you to take care of, as I'm sure it's not something someone so grand as yourself would concern yourself with."

He concidered her for a long moment, silent for once, then he looked away again. It seemed like he was in deep thought once more, pondering something or other and had thus forgotten all about her presence. However, nothing further from the truth, for after a while, the male opened his mouth and clicked his tongue over his fangs, almost; it seemed he had come to a decision.

He stood once more, and for a moment it might have looked as if he were going to continue on his way, ignoring her, however, he turned his head towards her at the last posible moment and without so much as an ounce of shame, he lowered it to inspect her, sniffing near her head, as if she were actually, rather interesting.

He really did wish to see what it was that his 'brother' saw in that mortal mate of his. A mate was not something he'd ever concidered (though a while back he'd loved Audilifu, something she'd become aware of - he'd been shoot down, and yet he didn't feel nearly as sad as he'd thought he would... this had something to do with Muhali. Not that he'd managed to put his paw on just why). However, an experiemtn was something he would not mind concidering, "Then," he drawled, "You would not mind indulging in an experiment, would you now?" it was clear in his words he was using her, but then again, he had already categorised her as one that was likely to take the situation to her advantage.

She'd get what she wanted... he'd get what he wanted.

She watched him calmly as he looked away, her pose languid, eyes resting on his dark face as it loomed above her. She was not one to push matters physically, or keep poking at something she thought was hopeless. Somehow, she didn't think she would get anywhere with this male unless he decided he had something to gain from it. He reigned over something that was tied deeply to the mind and though she couldn't say exactly how one's domain affected their mentality, she knew it must as clearly as Dath's did.

As he leaned in to sniff at her, her brows rose slightly in surprise. Well, whatever he had decided, it seemed to be leaning in her favor at the moment. "An experiment?" she chimed after him, turning her bright eyes to look up into his, a small smile curling her maw. Oh, but it did seem as if everything were going exactly how she wished. "I'd do anything you asked of me, that's what we mortals are here for, is it not?" For all that she wanted something, the later part of what she said she did entirely believe.

But she was still getting what she wanted, and she was glad she had send Ikhti home.

He only hesitated a moment, as if unused to having mortals so plainfuly willing to please him; he was used to the ones Ushaufu hung out with, and those did not seem to respect Gods in the way this female did. It was... pleasing to know that there were still some mortals that knew their place. Highly pleasing indeed.

"Hmmm..." he murmured slightly before drawing back, "Yes. An experiment," the drawled out words were accentuated with the tilts of his head, which almost made him look like an inquisitive child, "I wish to see what my brother sees in his mortal mate. Surely there must be something I can not see, to tie him down to a life so fleeting. Would you wish to assist?" after all, he was not one to take something like this by force.

No doubt diferent from Dath indeed in so many ways.

She smiled pleasantly up at him, ever patient, strangely enough for a mortal. She didn't know what he was thinking, she knew she couldn't possibly begin to fathom, but she did know that he seemed pleased with her - else, he would have walked away by now. It was good to know that she could please the gods she so desperately sought to. She would make them proud of her one day, for she would rid the world of all those that scorned them with their foul deeds.

She tilted her head slightly as he drawled out 'experiment' once more, as if waiting for him to give her the finer details of just what she would be participating in. She had the faintest inkling that she had already begun to guess - it seemed males were males deep in their core, though immortality gave gods the ability to rise above it upon various occasions. "I would very much wish to assist you, my lord," she said softly, her tail twitching behind her, "I'm sure we can figure it out together." Her words were honeyed, sweet, and probably only ever heard so by one other set of ears. It was not a tone she thought useful for many.

This time would be different, she could already tell.
