Personally I think this deserves it's own thread. Though techincally it should fall under the whole regional thread thing, I feel it's a strong enough topic . . . or it can stand alone just fine without having to put under a different topic. Regional threads are about things that happen in a certain area, but I feel this topic is more . . . unregional. Does that make sense?
Those pictures are cool and sounds like you had an awesome time.

Are you part of the UW band? o_o I'm thinking about going there when I graduate from high school.
I love those uniforms! Man...I wish we had spiffy uniforms. D: Although I wouldn't wear one of those skirt ones...Not without legwarmers, anyway.

Looks like you had fun! Yep The University of Washington Husky Marchingband! You should look into the band it's a fun experience and we're definately a very unique band with a unique style. The uniforms with the skirts are actually cheerleaders from one of the marchingbands.

it's true...japanese marching bands do rock...o_O they beat my middle school's wind ensemble by three points or was it four? It was only a parade band though...i was shocked to find out they were playing princess mononoke crying i wasn't there to see the band because i was in sixth grade last year but i heard them online and it was great biggrin here's the link to the japanese marching band I heard at our competition http://www.bandfest.com/2005_sound/GIFU_Indoor_march.mp3nice pictures by the way!! smile -miyoko
