The Kusane was handing out orders, "High-level Hashi! Front line! Soldiers! Watch the flanks!" Nisemono flashes next to him, "Alkem and Wolf are handled. (Kusane) Where's Tahei? (Nise) He's..." Tahei walks in, "Yeah yeah I'm here. (Kusane) Who's she? (Tahei) She's a ninja. Ayame, I know this may sound crazy but I need you to cause chaos in their ranks. When the battle starts, act like one of them and waltz around randomly killing them. Break up their formation. (Kusane) Excuse me but I believe I'm the commander here. (Tahei) Ayame's a double agent. You have a better plan? (Kusane) Go ahead, Ayame. Tahei, you have command over the Hashi. But I need one for a bodyguard mission. (Tahei) Why can't you get someone else? (Kusane) It's... the Ms. Shinobi Pageant. One of our ladies wants a Hashi at all times due to the incoming war. (Tahei sighs) That thing goes down on New Years huh? Hmm, fine. Hateshi!" Hateshi flashes in, "Yeah? (Tahei) You have a separate mission apart from the front lines. Have fun." Kusane hands him the mission documents, "She can't win if she's dead. (Hateshi) I won't let that happen." He bows then takes off.

Tahei executes hand signs, "Ko!" He appears on top of a huge cat which was sleeping, "Hmm. Hey Jojiii. Wake up!" Joji purrs, "Ejowaaa. What'd you summon me for? (Tahei) I need your long-range detection skills. (Joji) I can still do that while I'm asleep." He puts his head down and Tahei yells at him, "Wake up! We're at war! (Joji) Ugh. Gosh." He wobbly gets up then stretches. His whiskers twitch, "Hmm. About 4 kilometers out naka'a. (Tahei) Thanks. Hashi! Form up!" They all get in a line. He announces to the others in the back of the army, "We are going to raid their front line to soften them up! Do NOT go in after us! Hold formation!" A few minutes later he yells, "Platoon! Board! Commence Raid!" Hashi jump onto Joji's back then, within seconds, the huge cat takes off at speeds over 120 km/h. The group charges fast into the enemy's face. Hashi flip out attacking while Joji leaps everywhere, pouncing on them and transporting the platoon, scattering the enemy ninja, "Retreat! Retreat!" They hear Tahei's order and jump back onto Joji. Once everyone is on Joji takes off again before the enemy can even react well.

*meanwhile*

Hateshi arrives at the pageant, [Why am I doing this? I should be on the front lines...] A woman walks up to him, "Are you my bodyguard?" Hateshi was stunned by her beauty then answers, "Uh yeah..." Her manager shows up, "Oh, so your bodyguard's arrived." She hands him papers, "This is the schedule. Stick to it. I want you near her at all times. I will not have any excuses. If you cannot do your job then tell your boss to send someone else." Hateshi nods away, [What a b***h?]

reverend49 ok I see were at war part might have ideas not sure here goes.

Resshi appears on cliff seeing huge cat. "crap, its about time demon was summon. now I can try obtain another one" nods. "soon I'll use their power kill ouja. new ablity "fikurai". [sacrifice these two plus my arms to create thousand lighting needles to kill him. right now, this is war tht can't b failed]

reverend49 I been off for while tht don't know if ouja alive nor dead yet at this point.

((Yeah . . . Ouja's been dead for a while now . . . this is a totally different fight.))

Mary eyes the front lines with excitement. {Look look look what they're doing!} she squeals. {I've got the peeeerfect counter! Please please pleeeeeaaaaase, Ayame! It'll throw them for a loop, it will it wiiiill.} The ghost giggles. {They won't know what hit them.}

"Alright," Ayame breathes, crossing her arms over her chest from her look-out.

"Alright what?" a Chishita kunoichi asks, peering through a pair of binoculars at the front lines.

Ayame points at the front lines, covering Mary's usage of that motion to facilitate her alchemy by answering the woman's question. "Those Leap Frog Tactics won't work for long. The enemy will eventually figure out a way to counter them. Perhaps blow a section up before our ninja get to it? It's like setting a fire ahead of a blaze in order to cut off it's path and kill it."

The ninja follows her finger through her binoculars, watching the advancing lines. "You do have a point there . . . what the --?"

As the front line goes to create another shock wave, nothing happens. They appear puzzled for a brief second before a huge dust cloud explodes up from the ground, engulfing the first few lines of ninja and hiding them from view. Under the dust cover, metal shoots up from the ground, shredding through the shinobi caught in the cloud. When the dust settles, blood and bodies are scattered across the strip of field -- with not a spek of Mary's metal to be found.

Ayame hears Mary cackling wildly in her head, but before she can wonder about the childish glee in the ghost woman's voice, the kunoichi beside her gasps. "Look at this!" She shoves her binoculars into Ayame's hands and directs her gaze down at the slaughter.

There is strange order in the streaks of blood across dirt and snow -- characters that spell out a chilling message.



Mary giggles happily. {Let the game begin!}

A Chishita shinobi leans back against the cliff wall, blowing circles of smoke above his head. "I might as well take a nap with all the action we're getting out here," he comments to a nearby comrade. The second man rolls his eyes and looks back across the field. Chuckling, the first takes another puff of his cigarette. Before he can blow the smoke out, though, scissor-like blades shoot from the cliff behind him, shearing his head off before melting back into the wall. The double thud of his head and body impacting the ground draws the attention of his comrade. The man gives a cry of horror, shouting to nearby soldiers for assistance.

On the cliff above them, Mary giggles lightly in Ayame's mind. {Toooooo lazy that one was. Yep yep. Can't play the game unless you're willing to get your hands dirtyyyyyyy.}

The kunoichi standing beside Ayame looks down at the scene with troubled eyes. "How is this happening?" she asks no one in particular. "Who's doing all of this, and how did they get behind our lines?"

Ayame shakes her head innocently. "Whoever they are, they're good."

The woman glances at her, but before she can speak, a messenger runs up behind the pair. "General Shina! Lord Jiosa wishes to speak with you. He's calling all generals to council."

Turning, Shina sighs and nods. "I'll be right there." The messenger vanishes. Shina looks back at Ayame. "Shouldn't you be with the rest of your clan?" she asks, motioning to the center of the field where the Kinzoku banner could be seen flying.

"They wanted me up here," Ayame replies. "I guess I'm their trump card. They want me out of the way -- out of sight -- until they need me."

"That makes sense," the general says, nodding. "Keep an eye on this ridge for me while I'm gone?"

Ayame salutes her. "No problem, ma'am."

Smiling and nodding to Ayame, Shina vanishes toward where the Jiosa was waiting. {Can I kill her too? Can I can I can I?} Mary asks eagerly. {She'll make such a looooovely butterfly splash.} She giggles.

Shaking her head, Ayame looks back over the field. [Leave her,] she states, eyes scanning the lines. [We have more pressing matters to deal with.]

{Oh, yes! Yes! The game the gaaaaaame! So, what should we play? What should we play my dear?}

Ayame realizes too late that she still has Shina's binoculars to return them. Shrugging, she lifts the objects to her eyes and scans the field, trying to block out Mary's constant stream of speech in her mind. The ghost was off balance now -- tipped into the deep end, so to speak.

{Oh, you see that girl theeeere? She's got lovely eyes she does she does my dear. Let's tear them out and keep them somewhere nicenice. I know you'll like that. You will, you will . . .}

Ayame is not quite sure who Mary thinks she is talking to, but her rant keeps going, her attention jumping from one figure in Ayame's sight to another as she plots each and every death to the smallest detail.

{Seeeeee how he's cracking his fingers? That's not healthy, it's not it's not. We should cut them off and teach him a lesson, we shoooouuuuld. Then his toes and hands and feet. What next? What next? His neck his neck. See how he cracks it. Badbad that is that is . . .}

Shuddering, Ayame turns the binoculars away from Mary's current obsession. She can see what the ghost woman's planning as she does so -- as if it is actually taking place. All the blood is making even Ayame's stomach queasy. As she scans the front lines, her curiosity draws the binoculars toward the enemy forces, seeking out a familiar face.

{Ooooh! Looky looky, my dear my dear. It's our Tahei! Does he see does he see with those wonderful eyes the art we make in blood and lies?} Mary giggles happily. {But there's so much blood that's yet to be spilled. Come come, my dear. There's work to do. Let's play let's plaaaaay!}

Ayame lowers the binoculars, turning her eyes back to the Chishita troops. [Who's next, then, Mary?]

{Hmmmmmmmmmmm,} the ghost intones. {How to choose? How to chooooooose? AHA! Eany . . . meany . . . meinyyyy . . . . . . . . MO!}

Hateshi was following Isayo around the mall. He looks around. On the second floor is a guy reading a newspaper. On the third, a woman carrying bags of hidden weapons. Obviously a ninja. A band started singing, "...walking in a winter wonderland." Isayo stops to listen. Hateshi stands next to her in the crowd. A guy with a knife not too far from them was talking to someone else, "Yeah I know the lead guitarist..." Hateshi could tell he wasn't a threat. Isayo walks up in front of them and donates some money into the open guitar case. She makes a motion at Hateshi to donate too, so he does.

In the middle of the song, the lead guitarist steps off stage and takes Isayo by the hand, "Can I borrow her for a second? (Hateshi) Oh yeah. Sure." Isayo giggles as she's brought in front of the microphone, "(Musician) You can sing along however you want. Okay? (Isa) K." A bigger crowd gathers after she starts singing. By the end of the song, everyone applauds and Hateshi helps her down from the stage, "(Musician) Thanks. You're a lucky man. Take care of her." Hateshi was about to correct him but Isayo pulls him away from the crowd. She smiles, "Thanks for letting me have some fun." Hateshi nods then checks the time, "It's almost 4. We gotta go."

While taking a taxi, Isayo stared out the window humming, "... walking in a winter wonderland." Hateshi was staring at her, then stops to focus his attention on their surroundings, looking for any danger. Suddenly a car coming from the opposite direction charges directly at them. Hateshi unbuckles his seatbelt then puts his body over Isayo to protect her. The two cars crash, along with several other bystanders.

Hateshi turns to confront the offenders but gets shot in the head. The driver of the other car had shot through his broken windshield. Isayo gets mad then leaves the taxi to fight them. She sees more guys exit the other car, with SMGs. She jumps behind the taxi before they open fire. Isa pulls out two daggers hidden on her thighs, [I can't believe they just killed him!] Two guys go approach the car from each side. Suddenly, thin energy strings wrap around both of their heads and cut them off. The enemy driver scrambles to get out of the car after seeing their heads fall to off. He stops as Hateshi appears stabbing him from behind with two kunai, then whispers, "Tell them to send someone to actually kill me next time." The driver dies, keeling over on the horn.

Isayo looks over at Hateshi who's walking to her, "You're alive?! (Hateshi) Are you okay? (Isa) You just got shot in the head! (Hateshi) Yeah I used to be a vampire. I can feel those powers fading though so looks like I won't be able to do that for much longer. We gotta go. We're gonna be late."

Hey Kichiro what are we looking for any way. "Any enemy that dears lie on the border and try to attack out beloved country duh". As they seat on top of the tree they notice a couple of farmers not to far from the border and notice one of them saying hurry up with those cows. "Wait a minute where are the cows at i don't see any cows". I think something is suspiciously about that old men i cant say so but i say he was a ninja. Well lets look for a couple of seconds and see if he is. Then they notice they took a turn going behind a barn hmm something is not right that's a abandoned barn. "Your right about that Hatoru lets go check them out".

As Kichiro and Hotaru got nearer to the barn they notice 12 rogue ninjas sitting there waiting for orders. So whats there to eat hmm cant wait till the army gets here i cant believe were near the border and no one notice us. Then Kichiro said "a army huh we got to go Hotaru before they figure out were on to them". Okay lets get out of here. Then Kichiro notice the old men saw them.

"Oh s**t run for it Hotaru". Then they notice 6 ninjas were on there tail. What do we do Kichiro. "Looks like were going to have to fight them". Then as Kichiro, Hotaru were hiding they notice one of them saying Come on out will make it quick and be on our way back.

Then the earth came up under Hotaru and grab him under the ground. After wards Kichiro was fighting 3 of them. One of them keep punching through the trees another summoning golem to fight. While the leader watch laughing your going to die kid. Then as ninja got close to kichiro enough to punch him.

Kichiro did a replace then the wood exploded in front of the ninja face. Your going to pay for that kid for killing him you hear me. Then the leader started chasing Kichiro around and notice the other guy with him was missing. Hey were you at. I'm right in front of you that's what.

Then he notice captain Chika standing right in front of him. What your afraid to die here and now. Then he notice that all his men were dead in the ground. You didn't actually thought i just leave two of my men alone with out me or Zin following them do you. Then Kichiro stab him in the back "that's what you get for talking a lot".

"Hey Hotaru how did you get out of that guy who grab you into the ground". Actually turn out it was all luck he accidentally grab my explosive and charge it up causing him to exploded into thousands of pieces and i did a replacement to get out of there. "Well I be dam you one of the luckiest ninjas that guy could of kill you". Yeah the term is could of but not actually did. Kichiro good job of finding the enemy location any way our back up is here border guard 29 squad has just arrive in camp so lets go back to camp.

Also Kichiro,Zin you'll be the one staying watch tonight also if any diamond ninjas are to come let them in camp also there should be 20 of them enlisting for the war.
