Dare to enter into the Realm of the Shadow Clan...?

It wasn't easy guarding such a vast territory with such a small pack. Yet somehow, they managed to defend it. Kanoro glided over the old abandoned airport that was just outside of the city. One one side of the long building ran a parking lot whose routes led out to the open, abondoned freeway. One the other side of the abaondoned building were large stretches of runway. The flat pavement was not cracked and uneven. The patches of grass the separated the woods from runway were now stinky marshlands. All across the runway were vacant airplanes sitting silently on the ground. They all seemed to be staring up at the sky longingly, glaring at Kanoro as he glided past.

Kanoro was a strange griffin, if you could even call him that. He bearly managed to get himself airborn because of his big, bulky mass. He'd almost rather run on his massive paws and talons. Yet everyday his alpha would order that he took flight while on duty, since he could seem more of the area from the sky. It always wore Kanoro out since he had to worked harder to pump his wings that were too small for his body. His thick, furry neck craned as the squinted his blue eyes to see below.

Just then he noticed a shadowy figure just along the rim of the marshlands, still lurking in the shadow of the woods. Rather than taking chances, Kanoro knew that he had to land to check out what it was. Releaved, he swooped down towards the runway, running across it as he landed. He continued to run to the area where he had seen the strange figure, folding up his wings as he did so. It wasn't until he was within range of the figure that he stopped along the runway, the marshes between him and the stranger. Kanoro clicked his beak, baring his long fangs. His small, stubby tail flicked back and forth as if he were a bobcat ready to pounce. He could tell know that it was definately another kimera in the shadows. "Who dares to trespass into the realm of the Shadow Clan?" Kanoro asked in a booming tone.

"I am Kanoro, a member of the Shadow Clan," he said, his voice booming once again. His clear clue eyes studied the long, strange looking creature. He was a strange kimera, or so he would appear to be. However, Kanoro was used to hanging out with odd balls, even for kimera standards. This weird phantom-bony guy seemed normal to him.

He eyed the rat sitting in the kimera's shoulders. He chuckled "I see you brought a snack. Trying to get on my good side, huh?" His eyes narrowed slightly as his muscles tightened, "Now state who you and what you want before I chase you out of here."

Baltazaer coursed through the pathetic excuse for woods that gated off the marshes to his left from the runway, his long legs propelling him along easily. He had left his dearest Szaeryss for a while to go find food, but this area intrigued him somehow...and so, he pounded closer, legs pumping like pistons. His talons made satisfying thuds on the ground as he advanced closer, his steely gray and white coat rippling over him in the wind. Baltazaer felt like pure power right now, and not even his curse of winglessness would slow him down. The feathery tufts flapped in the wind like the wings they were supposed to be, and his four cold blue eyes shone.

Kanoro eyes narrowed slightly at the rude comment. "Who are you to judge if I have a 'good' side or not. I don't even know what you are talking about. 'Good' side, 'bad' side, those don't exist for us. Just survival. So if I have to do my duty as a pack member and chase you away, I will." Kanoro lowered his head, his eyes locked on the ryu before him. He let the little rat scamper away. He hadn't had any intention of eating it anyway. He prefered larger pray. He just wanted to see if he could get this Bones guy a little edgy.

Just then, Kanoro heard the sound of heavy paws landing against the earth and the heavy breath of a kimera running at full speed. He flicked his ear, mentally measuring the distance. He was getting closure. Drat! It could have been a friend of this ryu, and even if they were strangers, they may chose to team up to get past him. Kanoro's muscles tightened. This wasn't good. Two against one were somewhat bad odds. His alpha would be pissed if he let either one through... Oh damn, Kanoro thought.

Kanoro's eyes turned back to the ryu. He was surprised to see the kimera suddenly so relaxed and calm. He couldn't help but smirk slightly. "Letting down your guard? Ha! You're a little too bold, Shadow. Or perhaps just foolish." Even as he spoke, his ears were tuned in to the other kimera approching. He tried to keep his bluff going, tried to act calm, but he knew that things were about to get very unlucky for him.

Boneshadow only snickered as the sound of rushing paws against the earth grew louder. "Hardly, and I would say that I'm just bold enough to still have all of my teeth and fur. I wouldn't be so foolish as to tangle with you my large friend, nor to go anywhere new without a solid plan and a few friends" an air of complete confidence about him as he stood there, he didnt even know what was coming, only knowing that whatever it was the creature was also larger then him, hah big surprise everyone was larger then him..but this new threat..might just be large enough to get him a ticket out of his predicament.

Eyes widening a fraction, his smile dropping slightly as he stepped to the side, trying now to keep all 'three' of them in his view..yes three..and gods here he'd thought his luck might have gotten better. "Well kanoro, it looks like your out numbered..maybe even outmatched?" trying to sound as confident as he had before, although now he wasn't so sure, maybe he shouldn't have wished for such a big miracle.

Bones snickers slightly, his attempt to flinch away foiled by the large grifin like creatures gaze. Darn him watching his every move! Sighing softly tail swishing in what appeared to be a playful motion "So bold, so brave! Heh I've never heard such boasting before, perhaps its true though?" if only the male knew that the pair were not his friends, that he had no clue who they were, then he imagined that his boasting would not hold a hint of worry..

"Kee, dont worry im willing to wait, I dont get the feeling youd let me go anyways, chee not that I was planning on running!" the ryuu smirked, even if that had been his plan again though his escape was utterly foiled..
