Maltir- The Maltir are a unique species, due to its ability to be any size depending on what humans used it for. The Maltir are also strange due to the fact that they aren’t a mammal or an Insect, but more machine-like. They can be bred for any use and they can change their “Exo-skeleton” to better fit their use. They can be the “engines” of vehicles, from large transports, to everyday transports. Some humans have even gained an interest in smaller types for pets, and they believe using them as transportation is cruel and mistreating. Though strict rules are kept by the city guards in Telmear to treat the Maltir kindly, many of the other human cities don’t enforce this as much. Maltir have no relative basic form or color, as they can be any shape and size, but they have a hard outer skin that is flexible enough to not crack under pressure or movement, yet hard enough to resist many weapons. Their shell is sometimes sold in the underground as weapon material due to its unique qualities. One group of humans have innovated the Maltir themselves to be a weapon. Maltir joint tissue is very flexible but can be punctured much easier than the shell. Underneath their hard shell are fleshy organs and tissues, but it’s a known fact that eating a Maltir isn’t something you would like. Though they aren’t poisonous to ingest, they are bitter and usually cause vomiting, so you probably won’t find any Maltir meat in the food market. Maltir blood does however attract large insects, which is why they aren’t usually killed by their human owners. Yet the blood has also proven to be a nice remedy to large wounds, when mixed with other herbs and such, due to the Maltir’s fast regenerative abilities. Larger Maltir are rare, so large Maltir transports are very uncommon, though larger Maltir also live longer. There are many variety of Maltir which are listed in the "Lesmir and Maltir Broods" thread.

Tralk- A small furry creature that has white fur and it’s more like a bird. It has a beak and webbed feet, and has the stature of a duck. They have arms with clawed hands that are used for protection, climbing, or burrowing to make their nests. Tralk are normally harmless as long as you don’t do anything to irritate them, and their fur is coarse and not worth much to be sold. Though they can be cooked and eaten, it’s an alright meal but nothing to get enthusiastic about.

Messon- A Messon is a rather large creature that walks on four legs. They can vary in colors from White, to brown, to gray, and their hair length varies depending on the climate they reside in. Their legs are thicker, and a well-fit Messon can be a swift one. Older Messon’s grow a thicker mane and Messon fur is supposedly the softest and warmest of furs, one reason why it was hunted by humans. The Messon is a very rare creature, due to it being hunted for food and being dwindled to an endangered species faster than the Druids could react to such an outrage. There is a large group of Messon being kept in captivity deep inside the Druidic territory where they can’t be hunted.

Taimar- The Taimar is a very vicious little creature. Rat-like in appearance, but about the size of a mid-sized dog, the Taimar has sharp claws and teeth. They run in packs, and are hard to avoid. Their tail can be used as a weapon for them, as its tip it a sharp, bone-like material that is valuable in the underground market, but dangerous to recover, due to the fact that it’s never shed, and they begin to decay when they are attached to a dead Taimar. Only common fish oil can stop the decay process, which makes large Taimar tail’s that have been recently harvested a very nice price to anyone strong enough to get one. The only known location the Taimar are found is on Verge. Some people believe that they were put there to protect some long-hidden secret of an era long-lost in the pages of time.

Yitmit- A Yitmit is a small, furry, flying creature. Many Air Druids use these friendly companions as scouts, and some Human’s have used them as message carriers to exchange information from city to city. Yitmit’s were, at one point, hunted, stuffed, and eaten before human’s found any other use for them when they were wild. Druids have been using Yitmit’s as scouts since before humans have been consuming them. Though Yitmits can be found almost anywhere except the desert now days, they once had only been found in the mountains. When the Drakonians were first discovered by Druid scouts, they traded many foods and spices with the Drakonians, and in return, they had traded some of their Yitmit population, as they had also used them as messengers. A Yitmit isn’t necessarily a bird, as it has a snout instead of a beak. They are rather beautiful creatures when you see them up close, and not pumped with arrows. They have no front arms, but instead strong hind legs. Their fur is usually Black, Brown, or white as are their feathers.

Sand Lurcians- Sand Lurcians are one of the few creatures that live in the Talm Desert. They are a worm-like creature that’s practically harmless and it scuttles across the top of the sand. They are much like Swamp Lurcians except slightly larger and don’t need as much water to survive. The Sand Lurcian feeds off of small shrubs in the desert and tends to leave any random passer-by go about their business. Travelers won’t find any value in killing there creatures unless your really hungry. A Sand Lurcian may not be the best tasting thing to eat, but if you had to choose from life and death the choice is simple. Not much is known about them because nobody seems to pay much attention.

Swamp Lurcians- Swamp Lurcians, or Land Eels, are thin worm-like creatures that swim through the northeast swamps of Talm. They’re harmless in nature and there have been no known attacks on any being. Swamp Lurcians are herbivores and only eat off of the multitude of swamp-weed and algae. Water Druids usually have an inept ability to understand these creatures more than the other druids. A well-trained Water Druid can learn valuable information from a Swamp Lurcian about what it’s seen.
