The Short Track
A natu owned by the pokemon committee of Zatao that sponsers the race teleports your team to the Pilkiras Plains. There's no real dangers here, it's just a race to the finish! This track is 30 spaces long.

Team Two: CatCry
Start Time: 3:30 PM EST
At least one member of Team Two must post an intro first by 3:20 PM EST or else the team is disqualified.
A member(s) of Team One must post an intro within 20 minutes of Team One's first post
CatCry will go first since it is two vs. one, so there is no need to roll dice on the intro. Look at example battles if you are confused about anything and feel free to PM FireFoxNinetails with any questions.
Remember all race posts must be made within 25 minutes of each other. The team that fails to do so will be disqualified unless the other team says they don't mind the lateness or something. BUT. All races must be finished by the time FFN goes to sleep (Generally around 1 AM EST?) so if you don't finish by that time, I'll disqualify whoever overreached their time limit first.

((WTH? I thought the race started at 3:30!))
After the last two races, the arcanine was feeling confident. She flicked her tail proudly and reared up on her hind legs, stomping the ground hard. Llyri felt that he'd gotten considerably better at this kind of thing over the past week, but he was still nearly unseated by her antics.
"Calm down." he said to her. "It's about to start!"

They'd gotten through to the second race - something she'd been surprised by. Not that she didn't have confidence in her team partner, just...her confidence in the Rampardos they'd rented lacked a little. It wasn't exactly the most friendly of beasts.
"Start time's about here, isn't it?" Mae spoke, looking to her partner with a large, cheesy grin. She was feeling confident again. And her over-confidence wasn't always a good thing.

Nox, walked in at a brisk pace. Just because she wasn't late now didn't mean she should tempt fate.
"Hey Mae!" she called, "And hey to you too Rampardos!" she declared with a smile... which disappeared when the large pokemon gave her a death glare."What!? Hey, I didn't ask to be latched to your tail, it just happened!"glareglareglare "Fine! Fine! Mae, you wanna drive this time? I don't think this one likes me."

As soon as the bell sounded the arcanine went pelting across the grasslands she was about to increase her speed even more, but Llyri stopped her. "Safeguard." he ordered, the memory of their last race fresh in his mind. The arcanine nodded her head obediently. She too, remembered the feeling of being helplessly immobile while the other team pulled further and further away. HP: 1000/1000

Mae grinned to Nox, nodding as she clambered up onto the Rampardos, doing her best to ignore the glares she received. She just wanted to win...and the sooner the Ranpardos did, the sooner she'd get off. Yeah, that was a good way to think of it!
The bell went, and the Arcanine raced off of the track with the trainer uttering a command under his breath. Not knowing what it was, but not particularly caring either, Mae spurred the Rampardos on, Team Bolt darting off of the start line.

The arcanine whined as the other team passed them. That wasn't supposed to happen! Without waiting for Llyri's prompt, she boosted her speed and chased after them, digging her claws deep into the soil and pushing off as hard as she could. Losing to another arcanine, a rapidash, or even a jolteon was acceptable. That thing wasn't a born runner like she was. She was not going to let it win! (used Agility) HP: 1000/1000

((Neko seems to have disappeared for a bit, so I'll post until she's back))
Mae didn't really know what to do. Shoud she continue racing, or use an attack? Contine racing, use and attack...
"Go Rampardos, go go go!" she egged the large dinosaur on, clinging on for dear life as with a roar it continued to charge forwards, attempting to pick up it's speed.

"Arr!" she growled, steadily increasing her pace. They were still ahead! "Another Agility." Llyri encouraged. This was the short track. There was no real danger here and the other team didn't seem to want to fight. If it was an all out dash to the finish they wanted, she could certainly provide. HP: 1000/1000

Mae had made her mind up - mad dashing would do just fine for another while, then she'd start trying to reduce their speed. Especially since they kept using Agilities. And agilities made them faster - they had to win this! Digging her heels in, Mae caused the Rampardos to screeh loudly in annoyance, and hopefully increase it's pace because of it.

As they neared the halfway point of the track, the arcanine finally managed to pass the other team with a sudden burst of speed. "Arc! Arc!" She barked joyfully, throwing in a playful little jump. She was finally out ahead where she belonged! As fast as she was going, she was still not yet at top speed. "Agility again." Llyri spoke into her ear and she was only happy to comply, throwing herself into the wind. HP: 1000/1000

Okay, skip that plan. This was an all-out race - she just had to keep going! "Go go go go go go goooooooo!"
She chanted loudly, whacking and kicking and doing everything she could think of to make the Rampardos go faster. Surely it had it in it - look at it's size! Each step was the same as ten of hers!

They were a third of the way there. Now was the time to start the all out sprint. The other team pulled up next to them and then passed them. Llyri could already see the finish line. It was way too close to risk starting a fight now. "Run." he breathed into the arcanine's ear. Her answer was to lower her head and push herself even harder. Llyri leaned with her, a hand against her neck. They would make it! HP: 1000/1000
