IMPORTANT-PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING: 1. Feel free to PM to join even if I have a partner and I shall roleplay with you as well <3, I enjoy getting different takes on roleplays.-/ 2. Please do not post in this thread unless you have sent a profile and I have given it the OK! 3. As always, feel free to take any liberties in my roleplay <3 4. Summary: (Since my pre-story is somewhat long, I wrote a summary and if you like the summary-read the prestory <3) Two lifelong best friends have a huge misunderstanding that ends with them being more like enemies than friends. Both Darren(mine) and X(yours-give him a name) miss each other terribly, but neither will admit it since neither really understands the situation, namely the rumors that were spread about X being 'gay'. X surfs the web one day and finds a website called 'Switcheroo' it contains necklaces that supposedly switch bodies..he thinks it's a joke and ends up bringing them to school, wearing one and pocketing the other. And then Darren gets ahold of one and to tease X, puts it on..and when next their eyes open, both boys are looking at..themselves! ~ Prestory~ Darren McNeil and X (your character, give him a name) have been friends since they were three years old. X took a tumble in the playground, and Darren, big for his three years, helped X up and gave him a hug when X cried over having a cut. The respective mothers met and a friendship was borne. After that, they were inseperable as they grew up together, protective and trouble-making, they hated to be apart and loved being together. Freshman year passed happily, but freshman summer was another story.. Darren was a regular Mr. Popularity. Charming, witty, strong, handsome, considerate, and polite for the parents, people were drawn in by his natural good nature. X on the other hand, while cute and getting better grades than Darren, was far from an athelete and was generally more shy and reserved around others. With Darren, X was lively and mischevious, willing to take on any dare. It was without him that X became the 'freak'. That summer, the roles had become more defined and Darren got himself a girlfriend named Silvia. He thought himself to be in love and she was amazingly sweet to him. But she didn't like X at all since he took so much of Darren's attention and she hated 'freaks'. So she spread a little lie that X was gay around the school, a flaming queer who'd gotten dirty with his cousin. And as humans often do, they took the side of the more 'popular' invdividual, always eager for a bit of scandal. So that when sophomore year started, the talk amongst the halls was Darren's 'gaywad' friend. X had tried to contact Darren after the rumors, but Silvia had answered and stated that Darren didn't want to talk to him and had been the one to tell her the rumors in the first place. And then Darren's voice came in the background, talking sweetly to Silvia since he had no idea she was on the phone and he hadn't heard the rumors yet. X was stunned, mistaking Darren speaking to her as confirmation of his knowledge of what was going on and therefore taking it to mean that he approved of the rumors..and he wanted to keep away from X and had indeed started the rumors..(you can decide if X knows he's gay yet or not) either way, he's heart broken thinking that his best friend did all of this, trying to hurt him and he doesn't understand why..and after getting over the initial pain, (or pushing it aside to be more accurate) he gets angry. Darren, finally finding out about what's been going on, breaks up with Silvia for being a lying tramp and tries to call X but the other won't return his calls and X's mother slammed the door in his face when he tried to come over..and then school started. He found X in the hallway and tried to talk to X, but X was hurt and angry and they ended up getting in a verbal arguement founded on misunderstanding. After that, Darren joined the football team which further increased his popularity and furthered the growing gap between him and X. When they passed in the halls, it started out just sort of ignoring each other..until one day, Darren caught a group of boys beating X up, calling him a 'f**' and a 'queer'. Darren enters the fight and ended up with a black eye after getting the boys away, X is surprised and grateful, but as Darren scolds him (he was worried) X takes it the wrong way and fight starts again as X punches Darren in the face despite his smaller size, and tells him, "I don't need your help, a**hole. I hate you!" Darren is hurt, and rightly so and the event sparks a major change in things. From now on, rather than just coldly ignoring each other in the halls, Darren mocks X along with everyone else. At one point, he even shoved X into a locker though he 'accidentally' left it unlocked. The truth was, being hurtful to X was killing him, but X's mean demeanor hurt too..and X of course took it as further proof of Darren's betrayal.. One day as he surfed the web, he found a sight called 'Switcharoo'. It seemed like a funny joke, order this joint necklace, (a half and half pair of necklaces, like a cracked heart) put one on yourself and one on the other..and just switch. The only way it could be undone is if the necklaces are willing joined by putting the charms together, and both sides have to agree. He decided not to try it, amused but disbelieving..only the next morning, he awoke to find a box containing the necklaces inside, each necklace containing half of a circle and bolt that would form a circled lightning bolt when put together. Somewhat confused, he pocketed one necklace and put the other on before heading to school. That day, he ends up in the locker rooms as Darren heads by. His jacket had been lying on the bench and as Darren stepped forward, he bumped the jacket and watched as the necklace fell out. With a smirk, he dangled it in front of X and teased him about it as X angrily tried to grab it back, although it was out of his reach from the far taller, more muscular boy. And then Darren laughingly pulled the necklace over his head. He felt an odd tugging sensation, and then the world went black..and as he awoke, he found himself staring up at..himself.~ ~ Prestory End~ ~ Important information~ ~Yes, they have now switched. Darren is stuck inside of X's more childish form, and X is trapped within Darren's manly form. (X isn't too childish, he's obviously a high schooler and whatnot, just somewhat short and scrawny) Obviously, neither wanted the change..but X sees this as a golden opportunity to turn the tables. To let Darren see how it feels to be the weak one, the freak..and even if he won't admit it, he also sees this as a chance to be near the best friend he's missed these past few years. (this is nearing the end of senior year) Darren is mortified by all of this, he'll want to be changed back and X will refuse, not telling Darren about the necklaces or how to fix things, deciding that when he wanted his body back, he'd switch them back. Until then, they both knew enough about each other to pass as each other, and he should threaten to never switch them back if Darren tries to tell about what happened or mess with X's life.~ ~As for the love <3. Depending on whether you made X know he is gay yet or not, you can decide if he loves Darren yet or not. Otherwise they'll be falling in love throughout the story (or realizing the love that was already there as it were) Darren is the captain of the football team, immensely popular, beloved by women and admired by men. X is a freak, especially after the 'homo incident' and everyone in school thinks he's a flaming queer and an incestuous type. X will be enjoying his 'revenge' since they won't find out about their misunderstanding for awhile, but should also sympathize and protect/offer comfort to Darren when he deems it necessary. They'll sleep over at each other's houses, but only when X wants to, and anytime he wants Darren to do something or not do something, his threat should be that he won't change them back, or he could use a physical threat. He should shove Darren into a locker at least once to 'show him how it feels'. Eventually they will shift back, by then they should be in love. But once they're in love, he shouldn't just switch them back, not until a little into senior summertime. (which is a couple weeks away) ~ ~ Rules~ Rules: 1. No cybering, this will have physical scenes but they needn't be graphic. 2. Please be as literate as possible, at least five sentences a post and nothing like "x superman dawes went to the movies and dawes said hey i like movies and superman laughed cause superman is awesome" 3. X is either a seke leaning towards seme or full seme, NO UKE. NOOOO! *hisses* 4. Have fun! Darren McNeil smirked down at Jacob Kennedy, or Jax as Darren called him, or at least, that's the way it was when they still called each other 'best friend. He still called Jacob that, out of reach of Jacob's and anyone else's hearing. The other had been in the locker room when Darren had entered, somehow they always seemed to meet that way, unintentionally. The bell would ring any moment and signal the end of a Friday, ushering in the glorious weekend. A weekend that he and Jacob used to devote to each other when they'd been best friend. He didn't know what they were now, he missed his best friend of course, but Jacob didn't seem to miss him..and he saw a lot of the other, considering they had every class except second period together. One of life's funny little quirks, like having his best friend seem to hate him for no reason, hurting Darren over and over until he decided to reciprocate. Except that Darren was stronger, he had more options.
Like the time he'd shoved Jacob into a locker after one of their particularly bitter fights. He'd felt guilty, and he had made sure to leave the locker unlocked so that the other could easily get out. Darren had a temper and he knew it, but he'd always been the best about keeping it in check around Jacob. He really only lost it on Jacob if Jacob worried him, like the time Jacob decided to climb across a rather high wall..and then the other had fallen, Darren had caught him of course, at the cost of a large cut in his right arm. Darren had been furious with Jacob for nearly hurting himself, not caring that he'd been cut..in the end, they headed back to Darren's house and Jacob patched Darren's arm up and by nighttime, they were curled up on the couch flicking popcorn at each other and watching movies.
And now? He dangled the silver necklace with it's half piece above Jacob's head and out of his reach. It was clearly a couple's necklace and he was certain Xander was wearing the partner necklace. Who was he planning on giving the half Darren had taken to? Had he found a new best friend, or a lover even? With a flicker of jealousy and hurt, he taunted the other, "What's wrong, short stuff?" the former endearment seemed mocking now. Back then, the size difference had never been an issue when they were close. Darren teased Jacob for being shorter, and Xander teased Darren for being a giant and it was all in good fun. Jacob called him 'the giant', and he called Jacob 'short stuff'. And Darren's three years older brother, Maddix, called them both squirts. Maddix was like a brother to Jacob, and he'd played with Darren and Jacob despite being older than them many times, tickle torture was a common game and several times he'd helped Darren dry Jacob's tears when the other was sad or hurt. Even after the fight with Darren, Maddix always answered Jacob's calls and kept their remaining friendship secret from Darren. Jacob meanwhile had a year younger sister named Sorcia, who played with them from time to time and was accepted for her tomboyish ways and remarkable ability to charm her way out of trouble. They were surprisingly close, and Sorcia had always defended him fervently anytime someone tried to insult Jacob or pick on him. Obviously being defended by his little sister hadn't pleased Jacob, but they loved each other and he'd do the same for her in a heart beat.
"Well? Can't reach your pretty widdle necklace shorty?" He snickered, hating himself, but unable to fight past his anger, jealousy, and hurt. "Let's see.." Darren snatched Jacob's wrist, holding it tight to prevent the other from reaching for the necklace as he slipped it over his own neck. He laughed before frowning, his brow furrowing in confusion at the tingling erupting throughout his body. And then there came a whoosh and a cold feeling as darkness clouded his vision..and when he opened his eyes he said in confusion, "What-" Darren cut off, hearing a voice that was as familiar to him as his own..but certainly not his voice. His eyes trailed up the arm that appeared to be his, an arm smaller than his ever was..an arm that was being held by a hand, Darren's hand..except it wasn't with him..he looked up further to see his own eyes looking down at him, seeming surprised as well. The eyes of the body he was in, Jacob's body, widened at the sight of his own face staring into..the face he had now? "J-Jacob?" Jacob's youthful voice spoke, betraying surprise and confusion, and something like anxiousness.

It was Friday. The day before the weekend. What he used to spend with him. This weekend would have been fun, wouldn’t it? His parents and Sorcia wouldn’t be home for the next week at least, two at most. Jacob would have the house to himself for that time. Yes, his parents had tried to bring him with them but he’d declined. Jax couldn’t really leave so close to summer, unlike Sorcia. Lucky girl. It wasn’t that Jax hadn’t wanted to stay, but he hadn’t had much of a choice. He would have loved leaving, would have loved getting away from this place. Seeing Darren in almost every one of his classes, knowing that his former best friend didn’t want anything to do with him was not how he had wanted to spend his high school career. It was a little too late to be thinking like that now though.
Jax couldn’t wait to get home now. All day he’d been wearing one of the necklaces that mysteriously shown up in his room that morning, but he couldn’t think of anyone he wanted to switch with... No, that was a lie. He had wanted to switch lives with so many people, but he couldn’t go back in time and return to when Darren wanted to be around him and switch with his younger self. Jax was tying up one of his shoes when someone walked into the locker room. He didn’t look up until the partner of the necklace he was wearing had been taken. By Darren.
As soon as he looked up at his former friend, his eyes narrowed in anger and hate. “Give it back!” Jax tried grabbing the necklace out of Darren’s hands, but being shorter did not make it easy. He hated being so short. It didn’t help that he could easily fit into the lockers. But no matter what he did he couldn’t grow anymore. It also didn’t help that Darren was taller, stronger and had once shoved him into a locker. “Give it back, you giant oaf!” He growled, wincing when the other grabbed at his wrist, moving to put on the necklace.
Jax’s eyes widened and he couldn’t help but panic a little. “No, don’t! Darren, don’t!” The way he was acting, it seemed like the necklace was meant for someone else. But. if that website was telling the truth... Oh, who was he kidding? As if something like that could actually happen. But. as soon as Darren slipped on the necklace, Jacob blacked out. When he was able to see again, he wasn’t lying down on the floor or shoved in a locker. He was in Darren’s body, staring down at his own in wide-eyed surprise.
No, no, no. This wasn’t what he wanted to happen. He blinked down at...himself. What? What? The website was real? Oh, this was bad. Although...he could use this to his advantage, couldn’t he? Darren had turned him into the school’s freak with a few rumours. Now he could feel how Jacob had felt these past years. And, though he didn’t want to admit it, it would give him a chance to be close to Darren again, though not in the way he would like. Jax glared at...himself, at his former friend inside Jax body. “I told you not to. But I guess it isn’t like you would listen.”

(T__T Sorcia is at home. o_O Jax lives with his mother and her fiance, but they're both out on some business function thingy. )
Darren had heard the other telling him not to..but he'd been more than a little angry, hurt even. The thought of the other giving a half necklace to someone irritated and pained him more than he cared to admit. But so it was, and so it had come to him taking the necklace and being a jerk about it as he did so. Why had the other sounded so panicked in telling him not to? Did he care about the mysterious other person so much, or hate Darren so much, that he couldn't bear to have Darren wear his precious necklace?
He looked up at..himself, and saw the eyes glaring back at him, his eyes. Darren's mouth opened for a moment before closing, he was speechless with shock and dumbfounded by what he was seeing. Finally he said, "Jacob..w-what happened?" his expression became anxious as he heard the youthful, almost feminine voice coming from Jacob's lips, currently his. Darren reached his hand up and brushed it against his own cheek, currently Jacob's. "You're in my body..and I'm in yours..it's not possible.." he withdrew the hand and looked away, placing a hand to his head and smacking the palm of his hand into his forehead and cringing with a muttered expletive as it caused pain rather than clarity.
But that meant it was real..didn't it? Darren's expression was becoming one of pained surprise as he looked to Jacob with slightly fearful eyes. "This is real..but how?" he stepped forward and clutched the fabric of the sleeve of Jacob's left arm just above the elbow. "We aren't stuck like this are we?" he asked as the anxiousness rose in his voice. Darren was a hard fellow to make lose his cool, but it happened from time to time and it was never good. The worst Jacob had ever seen was when Darren had been locked in the closet for almost three hours by his cousin when he was nine. Thanks to Jacob, he was found but when he'd been pulled out, Darren had been unnaturally pale except for red, tear-stained blotches. He was trembling and had clung to his mother and Jacob for a long while afterwards. Darren had developed his achluophobia then, both hating and fearing the dark in any form ever since.

(Oops. >< Sorry!)
Jacob didn’t know why he’d panicked so about the necklace. It was a silly thing to do, wasn’t it? But he couldn’t help but think...what if the website was telling the truth? Oh, Jax considered it a joke but still. Switching bodies with another person was not something that he wanted to happen. And he didn’t want to give Darren something else of his again. He’d already given him friendship, move of his high school life. His lo... Giving the other the necklace wasn’t something he could do. Jax had tried to reach for the necklace, tried to stop Darren but...
Staring down at his body with Darren in it, all he could do was growl a little and glare. What was he thinking? Of course Darren wouldn’t listen to him. His former friend hadn’t even the courtesy to say what he felt to Jax face; that he didn’t want to be friends anymore, and let his girlfriend spread lies adn rumours around school. Two-faced, backstabbing a**. Jax let go of the wrist he was holding, once his own, and folded his arms across his chest. “I know you have a habit of hurting my body but I would prefer it if you didn’t do anything like that now that you’re in it.” Compared to Darren, he was taking it rather well. Then again, Jax knew how to switch back...if the website was telling the truth about that, and he assumed so since Jax was now in Darren’s body and Darren in his.
Jax stared down at Darren, wondering if he ought to tell him that. He didn’t want to end up switch back yet. He sighed and looked above Darren’s head—an easy thing now. “I assume there is a way to switch back.” Jax didn’t bother elaborating through. He was going to use this change after all. Darren was going to get exactly what he deserved.

(*tacklez/hugglez* You're alive! I've missethed thee! And I'm seventeen now! ^__^ <3)
Darren heard the little growl and saw the glare with a grimace. As his wrist, Jax's in truth, was released, Darren frowned as he listened to the words. "I don't have a habit of hurting your body." he snapped, fidgeting nervously. Again a sign of just how badly he was taking this. His body had just been taken by Jacob. The boy that was his best friend in all the world, and yet, who'd seemed to hate him all of this time. Why was that? What had happened to his best friend..
As the other looked above him and said he assumed there was a way, Darren paled slightly. "Assume?" And he considered the other's tone, "You don't sound at all like you want to switch back.." Suddenly his eyes narrowed as his temper flared alongside of his panic, "You can't keep us this way! That's my body, not yours." he said in a growling tone.

(Yeah. I was moving so had very little time to work on posts properly. And I didn’t get any internet at my new house until the 8th anyway. T-T And then…writing block. T________________T =O Seventeen? Congratulations! *late*)
Oh? Darren didn’t think he had a habit of hurting Jax? Funny. That was exactly what the other had done when he spread those rumours. Let his then girlfriend spread them. Whatever the case, Jax had been on the receiving end of considerable abuse because of the rumours. He shrugged at the anger. “Believe what you will.” Darren didn’t need the assurance that there was a way to switch back. Jacob’s world had turned upside down when Darren decided that he didn’t want to be friends anymore. The rumours flying around, the teasing where once people just ignored him.
After finding out it the rumours came from Darren… Jax had been physically ill and missed school before returning, still not feeling well and now had to deal with fights along with the teasing. Hadn’t Darren broken up one of those fights? Only because he felt guilty, that was for sure. In everyone’s eyes he was the perfect boy. He couldn’t lose face letting such things happen. Not that he cared though. Jax shook his head and stared down at Darren…at himself. “Why can’t I keep us this way? It’s not like anyone would believe you’re who you say you are. You aren’t Darren McNeil right now, I am.”

(Whoaza! Are you happy you moved? Evil writer's block! *throws a shoe at it* o_O ^__^ Why thank you! )
Darren didn't understand how Jacob could be acting this way. Sure, he'd ignored Darren and given him the cold shoulder..he apparently didn't want to be best friends anymore.. a fact which tore him up inside. But this? How could Jacob do something this cruel? He'd stolen Darren's body..well, actually Darren had taken the necklace..but still, who else would he have switched with?
Darren's eyes widened at his words and his confidence seemed to fade a little. "But..But your family, your mom and your sister, you don't want to leave them do you? And I have my family to go back to, Mom and Maddix," his brother. "I'm Darren." he insisted weakly.
He stopped and looked upwards as the bell rang, signaling the end of school. There was silence, and then he could hear doors opening and closing, watching as the locker room door came open as people headed through to use the exit door that led to one of the parking lots.
Most people ignored them, but three large boys, all dressed in the same football jersey that Darren's body was wearing (albeit with different numbers) Alex, Kyle, and Rex. Alex in particular had often tormented Jaime, well aware of the friendship that 'used' to exist between his football captain Darren and the little runt. And he was a huge homophobe, which only made his cocky, rude nature worse. He smirked and said mockingly, "Come on shrimp, go annoy someone else." He grabbed hold of the backpack on 'Jaime's' back, lifting it to shove Darren aside.
Darren felt to the ground hard with a little oomph and looked up, seeming both surprised and angry. He'd never been treated that way before. As for Alex, he hated the b*****d, and tolerated him since he was on the team and he needed everyone cooperating to keep things going smoothly. But Alex was one of the people he'd never helped hurt Jaime, usually he dissuaded the other with cool comments like 'come on, we have better things to do'. Neutral things that usually got Alex to stop, but without seeming like he was deferential to Jaime.
Kyle and Rex laughed as Darren fell, thinking it was Jaime the whole time. And Alex looked to Jaime, thinking he was Darren as he grinned and held out his hand to high five 'Darren'. "Dare Man," Darren's schoolwide nickname and the name on the back of his jersey since aside working for his name, he'd gotten quite a reptuation on a dare to sneak into the school at night, take the principal's toupe, and then set it on the statue in the front of the school of a warrior on a horse representing their mascot, the Trojans. He'd set the toupe on the warrior's head and sat on the horse until the next day as a beginning the year prank Sophomore year which had only further cemented his popularity.
Alex continued, "What's up man? Me and some of the other guys are heading down to Jack's Parlor for some pizza, you up for it?" Jack's Parlor was bascially the high school hangout, food, fun, drinks, and often entertainment in the form of random fights or things like that.
Darren listened to him speak before looking to Jacob from his pathetic position on the floor with an anxious expression.

( I’m kind of ambivalent about the moving thing. I wanted to have my own room like I did in my other house but I have to share with my sister here. >< And I’m so, so sorry that I didn’t get around to posting sooner. T-T )
Switching bodies with Darren had not been Jax’s plan. Switching with anyone wouldn’t have been a plan. He just...he went to the website and order the necklaces for fun, because he had been curious. And now he was in Darren's body. When Darren protested the switch, mentioning their respective families. His mother and sister... How long could he pretend to be Darren before he started missing them...?
Jacob folded his arms over his chest. He could switch them back whenever he wanted. Darren was clearly desperate to get back to his life. It wouldn't matter when Jax choose to go back to his life. And Maddix... It meant that he could actually spend time with Maddix, instead of just calling him whenever he felt lonely.
The bell rang before Jax could say anything back. He just stood there, quietly watching the rest of the school come into the locker room and leave. Jax wanted to talk to Darren privately and he couldn't do that with others around them. He sighed softly. Then the three boys approached them and that meant that Jax would have to pretend to be Darren now. Seeing Alex made Jax change his mind about the whole not switching thing. Between Darren and Alex, Jacob wasn't sure which one he hated more. Darren had pretty much betrayed him but Alex... The boy enjoyed bullying him far too much. Watching the other push his body around definitely was not helping.
He fived Alex, a smile on his face before shaking his head. "Can't. Maddix said something about me needing to be home right after school." A lie, of course. But suddenly being in Darren's body...he needed some time to adjust. Spending time with Darren's friends he could do later. And it gave him some time to taunt the one that was in his body.

(O-o dun dun dun! Older or younger sister? And no worries! *hugglez* ^__^ I'm just glad you're okey dokey!)
Darren found himself on the ground, looking up at Jacob in Darren's body. And then the other began pretending to be him..Jacob was really serious about this..first he'd gone and decided Darren wasn't worth having as a best friend..and now he was deciding to steal Darren's body? This was too much. To his shame, he felt his eyes watering a little and to his misfortune, Alex noticed.
Alex had been nodding at 'Darren's' words, when he glanced down and saw 'Jacob's' glistening eyes. "Aww, what's wrong? Did I hurt the baby? You gonna cry now?"
'Jacob's' eyes narrowed and he wiped his eyes quickly as he rose. "Not as bad as I'm gonna hurt you if you don't back off." Darren snarled. He wasn't one to just take abuse. And he'd always been Jacob's protector for partially that reason. Darren wouldn't let anyone hurt 'his Jax', once upon a time.
Alex frowned, a bit surprised and not pleased. He shoved the other's chest, causing 'Jacob' to stumble backwards but not fall. "You got something to say, pipsqueak?"
"Yeah. How about. '******** off, p***k'." Darren said with a cool expression.
Alex's eyes narrowed and he stepped forward before aiming a hard punch at 'Jacob', hard enough that the other fell backwards, nose bleeding Alex smirked. "That takes care of that..guess we'll go then, Dare Man..catch ya later.." he said before he and his goons left.
Darren clutched his nose, or rather, Jacob's, as it bled. He looked upwards and decided it was best he take this calmly. Darren rose and went over to his bag, pulling out his gym shirt and pressing his nose against it. "Sorry." he mumbled. "I wasn't trying to get your body hurt..but Alex..I guess I let my temper get the better of me.."

( Younger sister. Who all but blocked off the closet and steals my clothes along with using her own. Not to mention has a big mouth. >< )
Why did Darren have to go and do something like that? Honestly, it was completely unnecessary. All he really needed to do was wait until Alex and those other two had left. Why did he have to go and say that he would hurt Alex back. That was just...impossible for Jax's body. Definitely, completely, utterly impossible.
Jacob felt oddly detached when Alex punched Darren. Punched his body. You would think that he would be angry about Alex hurting his body and Darren goading Alex into doing so. But this all felt a little unreal. He half believed it was a dream and half hoped that it wasn't. After all, he'd woken up this morning and dealt with the long day of school before this happened.
There was really nothing he could see doing for Darren in his body right now. Not that he wanted to. Instead he nodded to Alex and waited for the three boys to leave. Jax stood there, silent, as he stared at their
He sighed and shook his head. "It's nothing new." None of those that bullied him since Darren had stopped being his friend had ever been particularly gentle. It was sad to say, but Jacob had received more injuries in the past year than Darren had during the years they had been friends and he had been protecting him. Not as obvious as a broken nose, but he had a few broken ribs and an innumberable number for bruises. "Let's go to the nurse's office first, though."
The wound needed to be cleaned up before Darren ran off any more in his body. But One thing was certain, at least. His sister was not going to be angry when she saw this.

(T__T That's evil! I sorriez! *hugglez* *givez cookie* emo )
Darren winced at Jacob's comment. He'd tried, in secret, to stop some of the other bullies..but doing it in secret meant doing not as good a job..but even though Jacob had betrayed Darren..he couldn't help but want to help the other..his best friend..his..love.
At the nurse's office bit, he shook his head. "She's probably left for the day already. Maddix dated a doctoring intern before though, remember? He'll be able to help, or we could do it ourselves." He'd be able to get Maddix to help him right? Maddix would recognize his own brother..or Darren would tell Maddix things that only Darren would know.
Darren picked up Jacob's backpack and then looked to Jacob. "You'll have to drive my car.." he murmured. Jacob and Darren used to ride together, until the falling out, "I'll drive yours, and we'll meet back at my house.." he said softly, knowing that he couldn't make Jacob do anything, so he was just hoping that the other would agree. "Sorcia and Maddix will know something's up..they know us both too well for them to not, and they are our siblings. You agree they should know, right?" he asked quietly as he started walking with Jacob towards the parking lot.

(I know. T_______T It's slightly better now since I got a chest to put my clothes in that's not blocked off.)
Although Darren had been so protective of him back when they were best friends, Jacob didn't think that his former best friend had any interest in protecting him now, much less bother to do so. Particularly since it was Darren's fault...no, his choice that he and Jax were no longer friends, no better than enemies. Remembering it now again... How could Darren have created and encouraged the spreading of such rumours, such lies? That Jacob had...that he had...
Jacob bit hard on the inside of his cheek, not wanting to go any further into the reason why he and Darren weren't friends. It didn't stop his eyes from narrowing, though. Nor the bit of annoyance that crossed his face. Jax managed to nod at the other's words. "Fine, we'll go see Maddix." What would that be like? seeing Maddix instead of talking to him over the phone? Would Darren's body realize that his brother wasn't in his proper body?
His head jerked up at his sister's name. "Sorcia?" Jacob had been too busy wondering if Maddix would notice anything to think of Sorcia's reaction to this. His sister. If she didn't know he was Jax in Darren's body, she might not let him off with just a tongue-lashing. Telling Sorcia would definitely be a good idea. But Jax could help but frown at the implications it had. Maddix and Sorcia wouldn't stop trying to switch them back, to get them back into the right body. Jax had no desire to go back to his own body just yet. He wanted to have fun. Play with the situation. Hefting Darren's backpack, Jacob shrugged. "So long as it's only them. Telling anyone else would land us in a psychiatric institute."

(o-o blocked off?)
Darren nearly sighed in relief as the other agreed to see Maddix. As the other agreed about Sorcia as well, he nodded. "Yeah..it's pretty crazy..switching bodies.." he said with a sigh. "I imagined many things for us, but never this." he muttered. No, his imaginings had involved kissing Jacob senseless. But Jacob had apparently had other plans..why else would he have abandoned Darren?
He reached for his keys only to remember which body he was in. "Keys are in my-your right pocket. You know what I drive. I'll see you there, Jacob." Not Jax. Why bother? The other wasn't using Darren's endearment, so why should he use Jacob's?
Darren picked up Jacob's backpack, glancing down at himself before looking up at what should have been himself once more. "Jax..I-" his voice was soft, maybe even a little vulnerable, and then he sighed and turned away. "Later." he mumbled as he left. Before long, he'd gotten to Jax' car and headed to his house. When Jacob arrived, he waited for the other before heading to the door and stepping right in..only to pause, gaping at what he saw.
Maddix. And Sorcia. Maddix was holding her tightly, and they were kissing deeply. "Mads! Sorcia?!" Darren exclaimed in surprise.
Maddix and Sorcia jerked apart in surprise, looking to the doorway. They saw, not Darren, but Jacob. At least at first. As 'Darren' came up behind the real Darren, Maddix's eyes narrowed and Sorcia's hand clenched on Maddix's shirt. But neither said anything.
"Well, Mads?" Darren was the only one who ever called Maddix 'Mads'. Furthermore, Darren, although in Jacob's body, had a stance that was exactly like one Darren would take..the tone, the look in his eyes..it was so Darren.
"Darren?" Maddix asked, brow furrowing.
Darren's eyes widened. "How'd you know?"
And then.
"Jacob!" Sorcia came forward, having been only a little shorter than the real Jacob, and now far shorter since he was in Darren's larger body. "You've switched? But how? Neither of you-"
"-Have been around in awhile, what happened?" he asked, cutting off whatever she might have been about to say.
Darren noticed that, but was a bit to confused to question it..he glanced to Jacob uncertainly to see if he had any idea what was going on, and with that thought, he'd also forgotten for the moment that they'd found Maddix and Sorcia kissing.

( Yeah. My sister's bed is less than a foot away from the closet, there's a book case that's pretty much blocking me from getting over to the closet without going over my sister's bed. >< )
Jax frowned, confused, as he watched Darren walk over to his car. Darren had imagined things for them? Was that before or after he spread those rumours around? Were the rumours part of what Darren had imagined for then? What, pray tell, had Mr Perfect, Popular, Football Star planned? Jacob wanted to ask but didn't dare. There was still part of him that loved Darren and he didn't want to know the truth behind it. That his best friend truly hated him... Even though Jax made it seem like he hated Darren but it wasn't true. Only Sorcia knew that Jax had built up the facade of hating Darren after he'd snapped at the other, after punching him. Only his sister knew about the nights he cried, even if Jax thought she didn't.
That moment with Darren--punching his former best friend--was something that Jax regretted on some level but never showed it. Jax sighed, slouching a little in Darren's car.
What was he doing again? Why was he sitting here, regretting what had passed? Punching Darren... He'd deserved it! How can someone expect to stay 'friends' while spreading around such rumours? It was impossible to stay friends after that. He'd been right to punch Darren.
Jax shook his head again before driving towards Darren's house. The past was past. As soon as Jacob gave Darren a taste of the life Jacob had been forced into because of him and those rumours, they'd switch back and Jacob would never see Darren again once graduation was over. Thank you higher education.
Once he arrived, he saw that Darren had been waiting for him. The otherboy led the way in before stopping, blocking Jax from coming in further or being seen by...Maddix and Sorcia? What? Why? When? How?
Jacob growled and pushed forward, just as confused though he didn't show it as much.
At Sorcia's question, Jacob shrugged, glaring a little at Darren. "Certain people can't seem to keep their hands off of others' property. That's what happened."
