Childhood had seemed to go by far too quickly, and he rather disliked the feeling of being grown. So much responsibility was placed on his shoulders,and to be honest, the stallion would much rather explore and search the entire day away.
Mother had told him that being so nomadic, would drive him crazy in the end..But just because before father she had lived as a solitary hermit, only sayinghello to the random passerby, didnt mean thats what he should do.
In fact, he didnt see how she did it. He loved being social, meeting iwth others and sharing views..But he loved to be alone as well..He was never in one spot.. Always wandering off or almost getting lost, or killed, or both.
Rafe, name meaning Wise Wolf, indeed lived up to his name. If only the wolf part. He was intelligent, that was clear, but he chose to follow his mischevious thoughts rather than the good ones.
He stomped in the snow, which only just yesterday it seemed he had almostbeen able to hide in.
Now, it hardly touched his ankles.

Taigi's nose wrinkled in disgust as his cloven hooves sloshed through another puddle of snow. How long would this last? At first, the white flakes were beautiful. Deceiving, almost. They swerved and danced 'til they hit the hard packed earth of the winter season, increasing in number every fraction of a second. Their attack was sudden, taking the stallion by surprise, covering the world he knew in a blanket of frozen water.
The ebony stallion sighed, then shivered as a particularly icy portion of the snow shoved through to the centre of his hoof.
His dislike for the weather and altered setting was pushed to the very back of his mind as he saw a single brown, moving object. No. Not an object...
Tai could make out wisps of curly hair being moved by the chilling wind as he neared. A blonde muzzle lead up to pale green eyes, color recognizeable with the unwarming sun's rays. This creature was, indeed, not any creature, but another stallion, much like himself. Of course, this other bore neither a horn nor a lion's tail, posessing traits none other than those of regular, grounded Soquili.
"Hello!" If this entity didn't mean well, or wasn't friendly, he'd find out one way or the other, so why not begin with commonplace greetings?

His head turned gracefully, looking for the source of the voice that had seemilngly come out of nowhere. He needed to be more watchful..This stallion had just snuck right on up!
"Hello."
He said, voice rather deep, yet still the voice of a young yearling. He still held that childish fire in his eyes, though he stoodp roud and almost dominant.
"Pleasure."
He said, giving a slight bow with his neck, and closing his eyes, then replacing the look with a smile.
"Name's Rafe."

The monochrome wisps of Taigi's bangs slid into his eyes as he replied to the stallion's greeting with his own bow. As he rose, he tossed his mane to better his vision, and inclined his head to the side so as to get a better look. Tai's verdant green eyes could see far more now that he was closer, such as the other stallion's age.
'Rafe' wasn't much younger than he, yet indeed younger to some extent. His eyes were bright with adventure, as Tai'd have imagined his own when he breached the border between foal and adulthood.
"A pleasure, indeed, Rafe. I am called Taigi." He returned the smile.

The stallions eyes were almost blocked by whisps of silver and black mane. He certainly was interesting..To say the least. But he was a unicorn, something Rafe had only met once, upon his last meeting with Bitty.
She was an excitable little thing..He prefered something of the calm category. He enjoyed a little relaxation.
"Taigi, pleasure is mine."
He said with a bow of his head.
"So, what are you doing out here so late and in the cold?"
He asked.
He liked the cold..Or had always enjoyed the winter since his arrival in the basket.

Well, he seemed calm enough, the other stallion was no possible danger in Taigi's eyes anymore. His expression eased, the corners of his mouth angling up in a mellow smile.
When Rafe spoke of the cold, Taigi shuddered instinctively, as if the wind dropped in temperature once more. "Ah, I'm not doing much but my usual. Traveling, mostly. Looking for something of interest." He glanced around, ears perked, as if looking for that something, but settled on Rafe once more after a moment.
"And you, what might you be doing out here? Or is this perhaps your homeland?"

Rafe sniled proudly.
"I guess you could consider this my homelands.. Though I wasnt the only born on them Im sure."
His dark green eyes jumped playfully from the snow covered hills to the stallion in front of him.
"A wanderer then, eh?"
He gave a proud nod, carrying an almost haughty expression that was far more exaggerated than the stallion felt.
"Im a wanderer as well..I just..Travel everywhere, including home."
