The Canyon Field
The Canyon walls toward high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces themselves are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces themselves are very damp (moss is also present due to the continuous moisture) which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff, announcing an option for land-based pokemon such as to grab and swing; however, these cannot bare that much weight and WILL break if such a thing happens. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Visually is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FLYING type attacks.

Day had been in this field before, once. She was familiar with the layout, and Alex should be too.
"Okay Alex, this is the same field as in your other battle, so you should know how to move around on the rock faces. The only difference is, this time you are fighting against a legendary Pokemon, just like in your race. Good luck, my big guy!" She said, as always. He was always her "big guy" right before or after a battle.
Alex fluffed out his fur to make himself look bigger, and he pranced to the middle of the canyon, taking a straight posture to look strong for the legendary. He gave up his usual act of being all excited and happy in order to look proud and dignified. He was so ready for the battle.

"Snookie, it's time for Kayla Says. You like that game right?" Kayla would always have to make every battle with Snookie a game to him or he would not be interested at all.
"Yay! Play, play!" Snookie cried up happily before going back to his position on the battle field.
Kayla looked up at the other trainer and attempted to shout at her, while covering the mic to prevent Snookie from going deaf. "I'm ready when you are!" An echo of her voice went around the canyon.

When Alex saw that his opponent was a playful one, he lowered himself down into the position that puppies take when they want to play. He had his butt sticking up in the air, and his front half lowered onto the ground.
Day sighed and talked into the mic, "Alex, it's not a play date, so get yourself up and use bite!"
He reluctantly got up and looked around for a way to reach Snookie. The only way he fund was to jump off of the canyon walls until he got to him.
Alex jumped off of the top of the canyon, aiming for Snookie, and as he jumped, he looked for a way to bounce off the walls to safely get to the bottom.

Snookie saw the big doggie leaped off the canyon and just planning on dodging it when the bite hit true on Snookie's tail. Snookie yelped before teleporting out of Alex's mouth and reappeared again to watch him fall to the bottom of the canyon without so much as a scratch on him.
Snookie curled up his tail to exam it but it didn't look damaged as tears welled up into his eyes. The tail was now wet and swollen slightly but nothing else.
"You're alright, Snookie! Now let's get them back with Water Pulse!" Kayla spoke into the mic.
Snookie was still up high in the canyons and created a ball of water that was compacted with his psychic powers before shooting it at Alex.

Alex bounced off the canyon walls to slow his fall, and made it safely to a little nook on the rock wall right above the water. Right when he thought all was safe though, he looked up to see an oversized drop of water falling right towards him.
"Alex, try to dodge that!" Day spoke into the microphone again, trying to keep the concern out of her tone.
Looking around, he found no way to escape the water. If he jumped further down, he would be jumping straight into the pool, and there was no time left to try to jump to the other side of the canyon.
Before the water hit him, Day said "Use flame thrower to at least heat it up a bit, and maybe evaporate some of the water!"
Alex released a stream of flames straight up into the water, also hoping to reach Snookie.

Snookie saw the attack coming and attempted to dodge the flames as he giggled merrily around the canyon. However, he misjudged one of the flame attack which caused himself to be scorched along his tail.
Snookie wailed in pain and teleported away to a safe distance, up high where his trainer was while Alex was further down near the bottom of the canyon. While he was safe, he examined his burned tail and big, fat tears started to form as he gently paw at his tail, mewing quietly at the pain.
"It's okay, Snookie. Let me kiss that boo-boo away for a moment and we can play again."
Snookie's eyes brighten a little and floated his tail near Kayla's face, pouting "Mew..mew..."
Rolling her eyes slightly, Kayla lifted the tail to her lips and kissed it lightly. "There. All better?"
No.
The reply was through telepathy, so Kayla answered him. "Well, I'll give you the biggest cookie ever if we continue the game, okay?"
Snookie brighten alot more and almost forgotten the slight pain on his tail as he returned back onto the field. "Alright. Let's stop this right now with Thunder!"
Snookie clapped his paws in glee and shot up into the sky as high as the clouds. He circled the sky several times as clouds started to gravitate towards him and darken every second. Before anyone realizes it, lightening and thunder was coming form the clouds.
Snookie descended closer to the field before releasing the Thunder attack at Alex.

At first, Alex couldn't figure out what happened. It seemed like everything was alright, although he did feel the thunder touch him. Then, after a few seconds of staring blankly at Snookie, the paralysis kicked in, and it felt strong. It wasn't the kind that went away after a turn, but the kind that overcame his whole body, and froze him completely in his place.
"Alex, can you move?" Day asked, although she wasn't too hopeful about it.
No response.
"Okay, um, hang tight until the effects wear off!" She said.
Well, there wasn't much Alex could do for the time being except just to endure the coming attacks.

As Snookie watched Alex become paralyzed, in amazement. Never had he seen a pokemon pretend to be a statue before, or that's what he thinks.
Snookie floats cautiously upclose to Alex, waiting for Alex to start moving again all of a sudden as the Mew exams the fire pokemon. However, Alex cannot move an inch.
Gleeful, Snookie pokes and prods Alex, making silly faces to try to make Alex crack.
Kayla rolled her eyes. "Snookie! We are still in the middle of OUR game. Come on! Use Barrier!"
Snookie continued to poke Alex all over while creating a strong barrier around himself.

Alex may have looked calm, but he was all fired up. You brat, I'm gonna get you! He thought. Every time his mind told him to snap at the Mew, his jaws would not cooperate. At least he didn't get attacked that time, although he wouldn't be so lucky for Snookie's next move.

Kayla tried to wait for Snookie to be done or bored with poking at the poor Arcanine but Snookie, for some reason found it more amusing as the minutes pass.
Finally, Kayla had enough and put a stop to it. "Enough, Snookie! Otherwise, there will be no double chocolate cookie after this battle." Kayla said in a stern voice into the mic.
As if on cue, Snookie teleported up where Kayla was and pouted slightly but at least he stopped the prodding.
"Good boy! Now wet that dog with Water Pulse!"
Snookie's pout went away as he found another ball of concentrated water before releasing it at the Acarnine below the canyon.
