One of the coolest things about the "greater Seattle area" is the music scene. With places like the Showbox, Paramount Theater, Whiteriver Amphiteathre and others, there's always some concert to check out. I myself just went went to the Amanda Palmer concert at the Showbox at the Market on Thursday. Anyone who has been to one of the Showbox venues can agree--it is one of the most amazing concert experiences ever.
So have you ever been to a Seattle (or Tacoma) concert? What'd you think? What's your favourite Washington-based band? :3

Admiral Theatre in Bremerton for the MxPx show a few years ago. It rocked. I used to go to the Roxy in Bremerton too, but that was long ago.
I've actually never been to anything in Seattle. Been to Jazzbones in Tacoma to watch my friend's band play. Anyone know Twilight Drive? They're pretty good.

I'm a junkie for the indie scene. I love The Lonely Forest, Schoolyard Heroes, and The Trucks.
Gah but I go to a show any chance I get. Just went to the Q Cafe in ballard for a small show, was pretty good.
OH and I'm an El Corazon junkie too. Any local band at that venue is usually a good one. Well...whenever I pop on in it is a good time.

My favorite Seattle based band would have to be Optimus Rhyme. I saw their last concert (idk if it's their last ever though) at the High Dive in Fremont the night before PAX. They played along with a lot of other big name Nerdcore rappers. The Goondocks are pretty tight too.
