In this particular RP the jewel system and speices list are mute. However no god modding or Uber weapons. keep it realitivly ligit and within limits when making character.

Hamlin was walking back to Yami's tree house. His latest job was a week long assignment, but thankfully it didn't cut across any weeks with a full moon. He was really looking forward to spending time with yami again. As much as she clueless about things she had the charm that made you want to be around her.

(I'll get the profile up in a few moments. Working out finer details.)
Yami was currently trying to get the house itself cleaned up. She'd managed to sneak into a nearby village and buy some books, well actually a lot of books, and forgot her home had a limited amount of space for anything like that. And had forgotten that she'd need room for Hamlin to stay as well.
And since she had a hobby of taking care of apple trees and hurt animals, and also kept several healthy bird families around. So the house was in destruction. But as she worked she sung quietly to herself.

Hamlin was picturing the havoc yami's house would be in, but she also knew he was coming back. So that meant she had probably went on a mad cleaning spree. He waited by a tree within sight of the tree house and watched her zipping about the house.

Yami was oblivious at first trying to at least make enough room for someone larger than herself. Or at least someone other than herself and her various friends. She lifted up and apple from the ground and giggled "Oh Mr. Apple what are you doing down there. Hamlin should be coming home any day now and here you are, laying on the floor. You'd get squished if he were here."
Yami placed the apple on a makeshift table and popped her head out of the tree house and grabbed a few more placing them on the table, trying to make it look like she was ready for company. But she was never ready for Hamlin. As things stood he still amazed her by the simple face he existed in the world.
Finally her ears twitched slightly and she noticed that something had been watching her and she spun around quickly letting her eyes fall happily on Hamlin "YOU'RE HOME!" she shouted.

Hamlin chuckled; "Nothing misses you does it Yami." Hamlin climbed up to her house; "Seriously need to consider expansion, maybe add a floor going up, but it is nice to see you again." Hamlin gave her a tight hug, before shedding his coat and hanging it over a brach above him. "So what has my yami been doing over the week I've been gone?"

"What good would an expansion do me when I spend most of my time here alone all the same." she spoke softly and smiled at him quietly. Her eyes seemed to follow his movement with a strange and wondrous curiosity. Her mind was boggled by how he could wear such a coat so often ad by everything else he did in his time.
She held out an apple to him looking somehow pleased with herself, "I know I'm not supposed to....but I went into that village you told me about...I just....I anted to figure out how to read. And I found this thing you call a hat. And a coat....so no one knew. And there was this nice lady in the store. She said these were easy enough, and that if I were diligent I could learn to read and write just like a normal human."
She smiled once more at him "I really am sorry...please don't be mad at me. I promise no one followed me back here. I was very careful. How did work go." She wasn't she ever really wanted to know about his work, but asked all the same and watched him with an intense interest as her ears perked up.

Hamlin gave her a sharp glare; "I told you to stay away for a reason, but anyways work was fine. The longest part of it was the walk there and back. Hamlin took the apple and took a bite out of it; "So you're wanting to learn to read and write finally?"

(only took me an hour to notice you responded *giggles* How are you anyway? I really was honestly curious.)
Yami bit her tongue slightly trying not to seem to nervous and sighed "I told you...I wasn't followed. Not that I are the birds could tell anyway. So if anyone did follow us....surely they would have done something by now." She knew that probably wasn't going to save her. She knew she shouldn't have gone to the village, at least not without him to ensure they weren't followed.
"And yes...I really do want to learn. It's bad enough I'm no use to anyone but the animals and the plants...I mean...I can't even be useful to you. I doubt...reading and writing will help me do you any good...but it's a step isn't it? And steps are what I could use right about now. Besides....it'll give me something to do while you work aside from tend to the animals and plants...and..." She glanced over the letters from Eclipse that she'd stashed underneath the books "Maybe...I'll forget how to read those..." she whispered.
