THE CITY STREETS FIELD!
Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road, sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there are broken off while “building walls”, set with windows of sugar glass and rotating doors are placed on one side of the street. On the other is a broken down building with barred window and a boarded up door. Faint traces of grim and much cover the walls of both “buildings” while trash cans and trash bags decorate the street; some are torn open with their contents spilled out while others are not. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air while, on the corner near a crossroad, a phone booth is seen. The phone, hanging off the hook, makes a continuous busy signal. Dying and dead bushes line the building sides while occasional breezes blow the dead leaves onto the sidewalks and road.This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

Renekai walked into the stadium, then stopped as if she had hit a brick wall. Staggering and clutching her nose, Renekai slowly moved forward. "Urgh... Dis id nad good..." she mumbled. "Oday... Anima!"
Anima was shot out of her pokeball in a red beam of light. As soon as she was out, she gave a single squeak before falling down, front paws clenched over her nose. Anima's nose was very sensitive to the smell, and her eyes were watering in the power of the stench. "Fur..." she moaned. Why did she have to battle here?
"Led's get dis ober with soob," Renekai said, nose still pinched shut.

Lizzy was unfazed by the smell, since she was raised in the city and all. Without much fanfare, she unclipped her Pokeball and threw it in the air.
"Come on out Portal!" This would be her first battle against another trainer and she hoped that she'll do well.
The Umbreon landed gracefully on the streets with her glowing marking illuminating her surroundings. She too wasn't affected by the odor, and stared at her opponent with a smile on her face. This was going to be fun!

Renekai started to get used to the smell, having also been brought up in the city. Still, the clean air outside the stadium could not be compared to the rotting garbage in this field. "All right, Anima, go for a Rock Smash!"
Anima held her breath, still sensitive to the smell, and dove at Portal with a rock-crushing attack. Hopefully this would be a quick battle, so Anima could escape and wash the stink off of her fur.

Portal quickly dodged the Rock Smash by rolling forward, underneath her. She whirled around and faced the Furret, still keeping light on her toes. Hopefully the battle wouldn't be this easy! She wanted a challenge!
"Good!" Lizzy murmured to herself. It took a second for her to figure out what she wanted her to do next, since she still had no idea what the opponent's strategy was. But she settled on the next move and called it out.
"Use Confuse Ray now!"
The Umbreon let out a shrill screech while hurling a curious ball of light at Anima. She wondered how a Furret's love of shiny things will take place and snickered a bit.

"Don't look at it; concentrate on the Umbreon!" Renekai shouted before Anima could be distracted. "Rock Smash!"
Anima fought the urge to watch the pretty thing, and instead darted forward to deal another powerful attack. Even looking at shiny things wouldn't make the smell go away!

Portal was too distracted in seeing if she would become confused by her attack that she was defenseless to the Rock Smash. Wincing as she took the blow, she staggered backwards and shook some dust off.
This was why Lizzy didn't like to fight here in this region very much. Confuse Ray was suppose to not miss back at home... but that doesn't mean she'll give up though.
"Try again!" She called out.
Portal nodded and conjured up another sphere, flashier than the last one. She threw it at Anima and hoped that this time she'll get confused.

Oooh... Preeeetty... Anima sat on her hind legs and stared at the brightly colored sphere until her senses were disoriented.
"Anima, use Rock Smash to lower her defense!" Renekai ordered. Oh, great. Now she had a confused Furret on her hands... Hopefully not for long, though.
Anima feigned another Rock Smash, this time lowering Portal's defense. She was still confused, but this was a simple task.

That was sneaky of her. But it was easily countered, and Lizzy intended on doing it now.
"Use growl and lower her attack!" She shouted.
The Rock Smash wasn't as painful as last time, but made her legs all wobbly. She tried to stand as straight as she could and hissed at Anima. Ok, so it wasn't exactly a growl but it did the same thing.

"Well, that was useless..." Renekai muttered. "Anima, use Rock Smash again!"
Anima rushed forward again, swinging wildly. She could only hope that she was attacking Portal, and not herself! Her vision was beginning to clear up, though...

Lizzy herself was confused as to how someone would be able to miss hitting themselves in confusion... no matter. The opponent's status infliction wore off so it's time to apply another.
"Confuse Ray!" She was a bit frustrated that she wasn't able to damage the Furret yet, but it'll happen. Soon.
Portal was expecting to get struck again, but didn't. In an amusing show of missing herself, she barely heard her trainer's command and launched another shiny ball of light before Anima could hopefully react.

Anima came back to her senses unharmed. She had a funny feeling that she had done something silly, but she couldn't think what. Paying no heed to the evil ball of light, she attacked Portal directly.

Yeah. This was not going well for her first battle... Lizzy debated on whether to just attack but decided against that. After all, confusion is probably the best thing that will stop the onslaught. She can't just hope for a lucky miss or critical hit.
"Keep trying!"
Portal was knocked against a lightpost by the attack and got up after a while. She would've like to sink her fangs into the Furret, but orders are orders. Even though she did get tired of launching one flashy sphere after another.
