((The event begins here. You must start here, and only AFTER your character is done roleplaying here may you move on to the Dinner/Theatre room.)) Joanne LakesOkay, so her face was a disaster. But seriously, what else was new? She had just come out of reconstructive face surgery after the events of the last red carpet face fiasco. She was advised by all of her plastic surgeons to absolutely not attend the Walk of Fame holiday party, but how could she not? It was a red carpet event, and Joanne Lakes was the queen of the red carpet. Ok, so she wasn't as graceful as she'd like to be, but she was always expected to be there. No matter how much people may dislike her. So she did what any passionate person with a reputation to maintain would do when trying to hide plastic surgery bandages. She found an accessory to hide her bandages, this time it was a beautiful long red scarf. She was thinking about wearing a hood, but she felt she would look like a foolish person. So she opted for wrapping a scarf all around her face except for one eye. Much more classy. Doing the interviews at the red carpet was something she truly loved to do, she wouldn't let a single person sneak into the main room without interviewing them. She was the best security of the entire evening, though one of her eyes were wrapped with bandages, so she wasn't the greatest security.

Brodi stepped out of the car. He couldn't believe it, it was his second event at the Walk of Fame agency and he was stoked. He wasn't sure if it was because of his new outfit, the success he had at the last event, or his date. He couldn't quite put a finger on it but either way he was ready for this night.
He had come prepared too. He had on a pair of black designer sunglasses that his sisters had helped pick out and they were perfect for all the flashes he saw. It was almost brighter than staring in the sun.... almost.
Before he took a step forward, or took of his glasses to shine a smile to each of the flashing cameras, he turned back to face the open door of the limo and held out a hand.

From inside the limo, Riley smiled happily up at Brodi, and put her dark hand into his. It had been last minute and a little bit of a suprise when he had asked her to come with him for the Walk of Fame's event, and she hadn't even paused for half a minute before saying yes.
Her long, slender legs came gracefully out of the car and she ducked her head down as she got out. She had taken extra time finding a dress this time and had tried hard to get better shoes (Riley still felt a twinge of embaressment remembering the sting from the last time about her shoes). Her hair was done very prettily, and even though the bangs kept falling in her eyes, she had deemed it 'worth it'.
Taking his arm after she was all the way out, she smiled brilliantly as hundreds of flashes went off.

Brodi smiled as he helped her out, his heart leaped in his chest just as it had when she agreed to go with him to the event. He still couldn't believe that she was with him. He wasn't sure if he should call it a date, but it sure felt like one. It felt like just the other day that they met in the café and already they had come to this. He didn't want to jump to far ahead though, as far as he knew they were still friends.
He took of his sun glasses to reveal his two different colored eyes as he beamed. He leaned towards Riley and whispered "This is it." as he met eyes with Joanne Lakes. (well one of them at least) His heard fluttered in his chest.

Joanne LakesJoanne quickly made her way to one of the first people arriving at the red carpet. She recognized one of them as Riley Daima who she had seen in quite a chaotic interview on the Glimpse where Wahoo Silverberg got in a huge fight with Eliza Hasselneck. It was all very entertaining. "Riley my dear how are you?" she asked in a very over the top false-pleasant tone. She was accompanied by a boy, he seemed familiar, perhaps she interviewed him before, she couldn't remember. "And who is this? Are with the Walk of Fame Talent Agencies as well, or just a date of the beautiful Riley Llama?" She stopped herself. She said that name wrong, didn't she? "I mean, Riley Daima?" She gave a look at the camera as a reminder to edit the tape later on to remove her imperfection.

Riley's smile became a little more forced as they approached Joanne, and she had to hold her eyes in place when the older woman had misremembered her name.
"I'm doing wonderfully, Joanne," she said, gritting her teeth to keep her smile. After her first interview with the woman, and then her brief appearance on The Glimpse, she was slowly learning that some people just weren't that nice and you didn't always HAVE to please them (this revelation had come as a shock to her, really).
"This is Brodi Tyler," she answered. "Yes, he's with the Agency, he's a fantastic drummer!" Riley couldn't help but narrow her eyes a tiny bit. "He's not just a date, though, he's also a good friend of mine, and I'm excited to see him grow into a famous musician."

Before his audition, Evan had certainly not taken into consideration the fact that he might have to attend parties and events where socializing and interaction and perfect appearances were a must. He was used to a world where connections were made for him, and now he was being thrust into a very different microcosm where alliances were everything.
Wary, he glanced around as he stepped onto the red carpet, wiggling his toes. This was a new feeling. He failed to make eye contact with any photographers or spectators, too nervous in an environment where he had almost no control. Ahead of him, he could see a couple speaking to a woman with....a scarf around her head. Not even he was that strange when it came to fashion sense. With a laugh and a charming smile to accompany it, he began to walk in their direction.

Oz had decided to drive himself tonight, no chauffer or anything of that nature. He was driving his Cobalt, which was black in color. THe enterior was redone to be leather inside. A pretty, grey black leather that was soft to the touch yet durable.
He stepped out of the car, his suit pressed nicely and his undershirts collar up and classy. He looked like a movie star, though he was only here for the Walk of Fame Christmas Party..Er..Holiday party which was what they were calling it.
He put on his charming smile as he stepped onto the red carpet, his dress shoes shiny and freshly polished.
He was ready for the night.

Andrew felt a tad awkward as he stepped out of his chariot. Well, it wasn't really a chariot; he had bribed one of his neighbors with a twenty dollar bill to drive him in his silver Volvo. Totally worth not eating dinner, or going out to a club later, if he got to roll up in style.
He hadn't felt like getting too-dressed up. Yet again, another exaggeration; he had wished he had something nice, clean, and sharp to wear. Instead, he wore the same cruddy jeans he had thrown on that morning and a sweater he had gotten at an upper-middle-class clothing store in Seattle. He had managed a long, cleansing shower and a new pair of sneakers, however. Hey, at least he hadn't worn the same shoes he wore to the studio every day; the same pair he'd had for two years. Ratty, covered in miscellaneous scuffs, stains, and... well, he didn't know.
Smiling warmly, Andrew folded his thin, short frame from the Volvo, slamming the door with a laugh as he spotted-- what looked like-- a mummy speaking to a few of the other partygoers. Hey, might as well go see what the commotion was about. He slowly started toward the group, glancing around and grinning at the people crowded around.

He was a stage actor and not even a known one, therefor Bri felt out of his element as he prepared to step onto the red carpet. The red carpet, for God's sake. I'm not a celebrity. Not even near. He smoothed his hands down over the pristine black suit and almost-too-stiff ironed red dress shirt. He didn't look nearly as good as he imagined a star should, but he was certainly no-- what was that word his mother liked to use?-- ragamuffin, either.
The slim young man smiled at his friend via the mirror as the red vintage mustang pulled up to the carpet. "I really appreciate this, man."
The dark eyed college student grinned impishly back at him. "No problem, Bri. Kinda cool, actually. Besides, I like when people owe me one."
"I definitely owe you one."
He took a deep breath and swept a hand through his hair, popped open the door and stepped out. "Alea iacta est."
"The die is cast." He shot Jeremy a grin of his own. " Have fun."

Joanne Lakes"A drummer? Very nice," she said, flirting a little bit. Over Riley's shoulder she noticed several other people arrive to the scene. "Well it was nice talking to you, Riley and Brodi, I hope you enjoy your evening!" Joanne winked with her only visible eye and hurried on to the next people at the red carpet. She hurried over to a young boy with auburn hair who was headed towards her already with a smile. "Hello there!" she said happily, as if she knew who he was. "And who are you?' Others were around, too. She spotted three toher men making an arrival, one of which she recognized as Oz Parker. She tried to smile at them to invite them over, but her smile was covered by her scarf. Instead, she made a gesture with her head to indicate them to approach her.

Isabella had avoided most things since passing her audition those many months ago. Much had happened that had put her career on hold but yet here she was and at last it was all about to begin.
She was dressed in a beautiful long sparkly black dress. Her hair had been straightened but was still dyed some strange colour and so she was of course looking a little odd but then again that is just what you would expect of a strange unknown singer now isn't it?
She looked around at the others appearing at the red carpet. She took in a deep breath realising that she really didn't know anyone here. Oh how embarassing! She had got out of her car and well walked along the red carpet, holding herself tall. She just wasn't quite sure who to talk to or what to say and so she just walked up the red carpet towards the person who she had heard something about but hadn't met to her own recollection.

Dear God; the closer he got to the scarf woman, the more horrifying she appeared. The one eye that had managed to escape being covered up was wide with an expression that he would expect to see from a wild animal. He almost felt threatened. Despite most of her face being masked by the crimson fabric, Evan had the nagging feeling that he was supposed to know who she was. Realizing that he was being addressed, he fought the keep his smile from faltering.
"Evan Gold," he purred, and moved to extend his hand for a handshake. He quickly reconsidered, shrinking back a bit, wrinkling his nose when he considered how it would inevitably mean touching her. "The most promising new artist around. You can expect to see a lot of me." Please, please let that be wrong.

Joanne LakesJoanne noticed as the boy - Evan - wrinkled his nose while extending his hand. Was he disgusted by her appearance? Was her scarf falling off? She thought the scarf around her face looked quite fabulous. Perhaps this Evan is just very stuck up. She shook his hand gently, but pulled away quickly and wipe her hand on her dress. "An artist you say? Interesting." Starving artist. Best not to associate herself with him long. "You must be one of those new recruits at the agency. Are you working on anything at the moment?"

Though he made no notice of how Joanne wiped her hand on her dress after their little exchange, Evan immediately used his pants to do the same, scrubbing until his palm felt raw. He worriedly had begun to think of just why she would be hiding her face like that, and was fairly certain that he didn't want half of his body rotting away or falling apart if it were contagious.
"Yes; I hope to stir things up a bit, and give the place a new edge." Truthfully, he had not yet met many of the others, but he could assume. "You can't rush art," he responded, voice a little defensive. Realizing that might have been a mistake, he cleared his throat and tried again. "But I am working on a new series. It'll be something to talk about."
