Toshiro wasn't quite sure how he got talked into this, only that Miyu was the one doing the talking, which was new seeing as the girl rarely spoke a lot. Though she had been getting better as time went on he thought to himself, but he was wandering off topic. Toshiro, did not know how he got talked into going into the meadow to pick out a tree that they were going to trim.
In fact he wasn't quite sure why they were doing it in the first place, only that Miyu really, really wanted to decorate a tree. Even though they were probably going to get one at home to decorate anyways, but that was Miyu.
She was probably bored he decided after a while.
Miyu was ahead of him humming along as she studied each tree, she had a small backpack with wire, thread, needle, pliers to make Christmas decorations out of. No paint though, or glitter or anything she was afraid would spill and ruin the land, she was extra careful about that. Though she did have sparkly glue in tubes, figuring it wouldn't spill if one was careful.
"Do you see a good tree?" Miyu inquired of Toshiro.

Selena skips around the snow covered ground, giggling a bit and rushing over to a group of trees. Before stopping and looking around "which tree would work better?" she asked herself and looked at Kagome. "kagome! its christmas and wintery, enjoy yourself" she said. Her tial swishes to and fro idly as she hummed happily to herself. A christmas melody playing her head.
Kagome buttoned up her jacket and looks at her sister "I'am..i'm just pondering on what to get everyone for christmas" she told her. Before looking around as well helping Selena look for the perfect tree for the season. She smiled and watched Selena happily run around the snow covered meadow.

Miyu was circling one particular tree when she heard voices of people, girls specifically. She peeked out behind one tree to catch a glimpse of Selena and Kagome. Selena caught her eye, probably because of the cat ears and tail.. well that and she was pink, while Kagome seemed more.. normal in her school clothes.
"Mi?"
Toshiro sighed a bit, "They're not going to bite you know...."
But it was Miyu, so.. this was normal sadly enough. He considered the two girls, he didn't recongize them, but he was sure they were as old as he was... maybe they had passed his vase a few times when he was sleeping, he wasn't quite sure.
Miyu wasn't listening, instead she was climbing the tree to try and hide, and here he had thought she out grew that. It ended up the tree she climbed she got a good view of Selena, in fact.. .she was probably in one of the trees being studied, and Toshiro was right beside it.

Selena walked around one particular tree as her eyes studied the appearance of the tree and tapped her chin with one of her fingers and looks back at Kagome "do you think this tree would work?" she asked him as she tilted her head to the side a bit her tail swishing to and fro and her ears flicking at every sound
Kagome walked over to the tree that Selena was looking around and pondered a bit, trying to make a mental image. "i believe that would be a good tree but i'm unsure. We'll get a second opinion and we'll see what they say and see if we can find a tree we can settle on.

"Mi?" Miyu leaned over.
She could see the girls clearly, and couldn't help but lean over. Probably because the ears looked so... pettable? Her leaning over shook some snow from the branches, and the tree rustled as if it was alive.
The fact the branches were heavy with snow didn't help matters much, seeing as it dropped fast with a loud plop.
Toshiro moved out of the quickly enough to prevent himself from being buried.
"Careful there!" he shouted not caring if the girls noticed, in fact it was hard to tell whom he was yelling at his niece or the girls.

Selena's ears flicked as she heard a loud plop of snow that fell on the ground she flinched. Before stopping what she was doing and turned to face where it had come from. She walked over to where the snow was her boots crunching the snow lightly as she walked.
Kagome blinked and stopped what she was doing and followed after her sister over to where the boy and the girl were. She looked upwards at the tree it had come from and peered closely. Noticing a figure in the tree and blinked before looked at the boy.

Toshiro waved casually the two girls were as different as... well as different as could be. He wouldn't dare say day and night, seeing as that wouldn't match their hair colourings or anything, but they were pretty different.
"Sorry about that," Toshiro pointed up the tree, "She gets nervous easily."
Tilting his head a bit, he looked up at the tree before shouting for Miyu to get down from there already.
However Miyu was clinging on for dear life, though there was little chance she was going to fall, as far as he could tell anyways.
'Mi!"
It seemed that Miyu had reverted to one words, one non sensical word that is.

Selena blinked and pondered a bit before looking upwards at the girl in the tree "its okay...We' won't hurt you" she told her. Before trying to figure out a way to get her to come down without her hurting herself. "um..I'll let you pet my ears if you really want to" she called up.
Kagome blinked and watches Selena try to communicate with the girl before looking at the boy. "what is your name?" she asked him tilting her head to the side a bit as she separate her attention between him and watching Selena.

The little girl blinked, there was something very tmepting in that offer, and she was torn. She wanted to stay up there, but then there were the soft... ears... She wiggled a bit, making more snow fall, trying to decide. Finally it seemed like the temptation was too much and she began to slowly climbing down. It was easy since she was barefooted, Miyu like her father was somewhat immune to the cold, probably because both liked it so much.
"Toshiro," the boy replied, "Winters, and yours?"
He had a feeling he should know these two, but he didn't know them at all. Then remembering the rest of his manners he pointed to the tree.
"And the girl up there is Miyu."

Selena jumped a bit as snow fell but stayed where she was as she watched the girl climb down from the tree. She tilted her head to the side a bit and smiled. She interlocked her hands while she waited for her to make the rest of the way down.
Kagome nods politely "nice to meet you both " she said "my name is Kagome and that neko over there is Selena" she said gesturing to where Selena was by the tree waiting for Miyu to come down.

Eventually Miyu made her way down, landing on the ground hard that she sunk into the snow a bit. She could feel the icy cold between her toes, it was like mud only... less icky. The white haired Second peered at Selena, nibbling the tip of her braid nervously.
"Mi...."
She edged towards Selena.
Age meant little except chronological age (and even then that was a bit ify) to a Second. Not when they all grew differently, but if Toshiro was to make a guess, he felt Kagome was the elder of the two (even if he was wrong she certainly acted like it).
"Same here," he shrugged, "We were just looking for a tree, Miyu wants to decorate one, though what we're going to use I'm not sure yet."

Selena walked closer to miyu and tilted her head to the side so the other could pet them if she wanted to. She stood waiting patiently and not making any sudden moves so she wouldn't frighten her.
Kagome nods her head "that's good, same goal we have" she told him before thinking a bit and nodding her head. Before looking over at Selena and Miyu before focusing back on Toshiro. "so how are you today?" she asked him trying to come up with conversation topics.

It wasn't that the two were even that far apart in height. In fact they seemed to be the same age (stage) as each other. The little girl blinked for a moment before reaching out and gingerlly petting an ear. Lightly like a feather touch, it was so soft she thought to herself.
Miyu giggled, "Soft... mi..."
"Oh I'm good, could be better, nothing a mug of hot chocolate wouldn't do, I would ask for coffee, but I'm told I'm too young for that. I don't know why it's not like it's going to make me hyper," Toshiro replied with a shrug, "I would prefer coffee... coffee and chocolate."
As if he didn't need to stunt his growth anymore than it was, but.. that was Toshiro.
"Any particular drinks you care for?"

Selena smiles softly as Miyu petted her ears. She swishes her tail to and fro idly. While staying alert and listening to Kagome and Toshiro talk. Selena looks at her "what's your name?" she asked the other.
Kagome pondered a bit "I prefer Hot Chocolate as well" she told him "and as for chocolate it is a girl's best friend she said beaming happily. Letting Selena and Miyu socialize.

Miyu's attention was fully on Selena which was just as well, ohterwise she might have skittered. The ears were like petals she thought happily and she liked the colour a lot.
"Miyu," she whispered softly.
She forgot her last name, but that was fine, she scratched gently behind the ears. Miyu wondered how that felt...
She added, "And... your name?"
She hadn't been paying atttention to when Kagome was making introductions, she was too busy well... getting down.
"A girl's best friend huh? I'll keep that in mind," Toshiro would have never thought of it in that way, "Never heard of it put like that."
He had a lot of sisters, but then again he supposed each their own, or at least that's what he assumed.
"Which tree were you girls considering?"
