He was running. For what reason? Well he didn't even want to know. He just felt like running. A smile was on his face as he ran. Loving the feeling of his mucles moving under his skin. He didn't need the exercise really, not at all. He was slender and built quite nicely, his adoptive mother Rana kept good care of him. But he loved the feeling of the wind in his face, blowing his growing mane around. He slowly came to a trot, looking around slightly as he did. His white toed paws were covered in dust from the savanah, but he didn't care. He just shook it off before wandering toward a small watering hole.
He lapped some of the water up quickly, enjoying the feeling of the water cooling down his throat. He straightened his body up licking the water off of his chin before it could drip down to the ground. He flicked his mane out of his eyes before sitting back on his haunches, ruffling his brow thinking. He wondered where Sadiki was, eh, he wanted to let her have some time with herself, they had spent so much time togeather lately. He chuckled slightly at the thought and shifted on his feet.

"Where are you off to, running so fast like that?" Chardon called out. He had been unnoticed by the youth at the other side of the watering hole; the older lion had been encased in sleep at first before he woke to the sound of footsteps coming closer. But he could hear the other male pant, and gulp down the cool water. The amount of dust on his coat could only mean that he had traveled a great distance in a short time.
Chardon was a bit curious about that.
He, in fact, had traveled a great distance in a short time. Not running the whole way, but for the most part his legs had gotten a good workout. This was one of the few stops he had allowed himself to take after leaving Ama far, far behind.

Nazih almost jumped at the other voice, it sure did catch him off guard. He grew up hiding his emotions such as being scared or hurt, so now when he was startled he kept himself from jumping when he was hurt he kept himself from crying, he was always like that. He looked around and then noticed the other male. Right away a smile grew on his face, the company across the water seemed friendly enough.
"Hello!" He called out, not answering the question quiet yet. Why was he running anyway? He knew for sure that he really wasn't heading anywhere, not at all. He ran around the lands all the time, it was a great time just to think. "I'm not off to anywhere in particular." He shrugged, he really wasn't. "I like running, so I was just kind of... Running." He laughed slightly mainly at himself as he looked at the male once more. He'd never seen this male around here, maybe he wasn't paying enough attention to the others around here, yeah that was most likely right. He smiled softly before nodding toward him. "Whats your name?"

Chardon couldn't help the inner laugh that threatened to rumble up through his throat and burst out of his mouth as the youth jumped, startled, by his sudden greeting.
Just running? Not chasing after a herd, or another creature for any reason? Not outrunning a heard, or another creature for any reason? Not like Chardon, of course.
"At least you get proper exercise," he called back with a nod. "Too many don't run enough, so they become fat and lazy." Chardon made a face. He couldn't stand laziness. "Come over here so we don't have to yell at each other. It's not civilized to yell. I'm Chardon, young one. Who are you?" His paw lifted from its resting spot on the land and waved the grey male over closer.

Nazih nodded to the older male chuckling slightly, he had seen some of those lazy lions, it really made him wonder, they had to have some one hunting for them... To Nazih that was kind of a little sad. He shrugged the idea off before nodding to him. "No problem."
He stood up and wandered to the side of the other male, settling about a foot away from him. Sitting down and wrapping his tail around his back leg as he did. "My name is Nazih'Matata, but you can call me Nazih." He nodded to him with a small growing smile. '"So do you belong to a pride?" He questioned, he always loved hearing about other prides, he wasn't one to have a pride himself but he liked to hear about them. The only time he would join one is if his mother wanted him to join one with her.

Chardon chuckled. Eager as always, were these young ones.
"I used to be in a pride. Long story short, I left because of a girl (two, actually) and haven't been back since. I don't really miss it; there were lots of rules to follow and duties and all that." He made a face. "My sister was to be queen one day, and I as her younger brother would remain a prince, though I was often her advisor. Our pride elders had us on a tight schedule that left little room for lolly-gagging and relaxing. Which is why I like life so much more, now."
Chardon closed his eyes and yawned for a moment, then bent down to take a gulp of the fresh, cool water just beside him. He glanced at Nazih. "What about you? You or your family in a pride?"

Nazih listened closely to him flicking his fail around as he did. He loved hearing other's stories, all of the, the happy and even the sad. The sad ones made him feel a little good, he wasn't the only thing that had to go through things when he was younger. He fmiled softly at him before nodding. "Life is always pretty good when you don't have so many things do to." He shrugged just slightly.
Then he looked up and shook his head with a soft laugh. "Well... Not really. I have a family, kinda, its an adoptive family. No pride... My old pride... was killed." He sighed through his nose at the idea, as far as he knew they were all killed, no matter how much he didn't like the idea, it was true....

Chardon nodded and sat up a little straighter from his position. Ever since he had left his pride, he had nothing really to do anymore. No elders to tell him to do this, or someone else to demand for him to do that. It was a nice feeling to be so independent and not have to worry about someone always breathing down his neck.
"I'm sorry for your loss then," he offered with a frown. It was always a sad time when a pride family was killed. And tough he didn't particularly want to know what happened, he still thought it wasn't right to kill young ones or their families. It wasn't fair to the lives that had so much ahead of them. "But at the same time, it's good that you have found an adoptive family to take care of you and whom you can go to for your troubles."

Nazih'Matata smiled softly as he watched him and then nodded. "Thank you." He cleared his throat slightly, trying not to think so much on that one thought it wasn't his favorite thought. But it was something that was still there...
He then smiled softly. "Thank you once more. I love my adoptive family and I'm very happy that they found me." He smiled softly then looked toward the male once more. "Do you have anyone to care for you, or for you to care for? Some kind of traveling partner?" He then laughed softly mainly at himself. "I mean if you don't mind me asking." He glanced at the male for a moment with a soft smile still on his face.

Chardon bowed his head in a silent 'you're welcome' gesture before chuckling at the questions as well. "No, I don't mind," he returned. "Just the opposite, actually. I've met the most beautiful lioness in the world, and we have just become mates. She should be expecting cubs sometime soon, as well," he added with a wink at the other male.
"We began as traveling companions, at first. Both of us wanted nothing to do with our pasts so we started a new one together. It just so happened that we clicked and we've never been apart since." He beamed at Nazih. "What about you? Are you planning to travel any time soon, and if so, do you have a partner in mind?"

Nazih puffed up a bit as he said that he didn't mind that made him feel better about the question. He grinned more before flicking around his til. "Congrats on your mate and also your soon to come cubs." He wiggled around where he was before flicking his hair out of his eyes.
"Its good that you found eachother." Then he shrugged. "I really don't want to go anywhere soon. I kind of just want to spend time with my adoptive mother. I have a good friend named Sadiki but were not close like that." He shugged at the idea, was Sadiki like that? He couldn't see it.

Chardon couldn't be happier with Koy. She was all he ever wanted, and when he put Cala behind him, the best thing that had ever happened in his life. He couldn't dream about being without her. He didn't want to experience it, either.
He nodded.
"I understand that. I would want to spend time with her, too, if I were you." He and Cala hadn't really spent too much time with their parents before they passed away, and the throne was passed down to them. As only young cubs, too. They were practically raised by the pride.

Nazih looked foreward thinking as the male got quiet. The thought that was running through his mind was how did he really feel about Sadiki, he wasn't really that sure. He shrugged it off before grinning flicking his hair out of his eyes before his attetion turned back toward the male, he couldn't help but ot smile and then nodded.
"Yeah, I'm very glad that she found me, well more of I found her but I'm glad that she had the heart to take me in and raise her as her own." He laughed softly. "And she might even be having cubs soon she has herself a boyfriend, I can't wait to help her take care of them." He chuckled slightly the idea of helping his mom take care of her own real children made him feel good. He liked the idea.

Chardon chuckled as well.
"That will be interesting, at the very least, I suspect. Good luck helping her out with those cubs." Cubs, cubs, cubs. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
"Well, I best be going now. I've got to get back to my mate and we should be getting ready for dinner now. It was a pleasure meeting you, Nazih. I wish you luck on your future and good health." It had become a tradition with Char to wish others such a thing when he finally said good-bye.

Nazih couldnlt help but to smile when he said that it would be interesting. "Yes it is going to be, but thank you very much." He grinned ear to ear he then nodded once more to the male and gave a small bow. "Good luck to you too. I wish the best for you and your mate, also your future children." He smiled and stood up shaking some of the dirt off of him then turning and looking around, he figured which way he came from then started to wander in that direction.
