Shortly after the conclusion of Valen's session, Thomas as 'reset' the room so to speak. The weighted sculptures - or rather, the desks with clever illusion spells set onto them - now resembled large vipers circling a king cobra sculpture that sat in the center of them all. It had the illusion of being much heavier than it was.

Thomas glanced shortly down to the clip board in his hands and made a few final notes on the margen of the parchment. Just two more students to go... Thankfully that demon-child was unable to continue his education under him.

Ter came in on time, not having to really travel far from where he lived to where he went to school since he lived at D-Corp with his family. He was laying on the back of his wyvern when he entered the classroom, the two of them having both had growth spurts since the last time that they had a class with this particular teacher.

"Hey, how goes?" Ter asked of the teacher, unwinding himself from Baroness' spines and slid down onto his coils before looking around the classroom. He had to say, his teacher's tastes in statues were much to his liking. That one in the center of all of them being the best of course as it was a cobra just like he was. Ter seemed a bit more laid back then the last time he'd been here as well. It seemed having a younger sibling had mellowed him out at least the slightest.

He patted a hand on Baroness' side and let her head over to sit down out of the way. She looked as though she were watching very closely though, her interest in the subject clear in her eyes. What could be more useful then learning to lift heavy objects as her boy was learning to do? She would do as she always did, she would watch and learn.

He didn't look up from the keyboard as Ter and his dragon entered the room, but as the student before him, he waved a hand to shut the door where Ter had neglected to.

He looked up only when addressed and raised a thin eyebrow. 'How goes?' Thomas only starred in response, allowing the silence to settle in a bit before returning his eyes to the documents secured to the clip board. "You'll be lifting the center statue. Over your head- just as instructed previously. You're to set it down gently and intact. Take as long as you need to prepare."

Ter look over at the statues and gave a nod of his head, "Lift it? Sounds good." He said slithering over to the statue and looked it over. It was rather huge... how was he supposed to lift something this size up? He tilted his head to the side before he reached out to lay his hands on it and started to concentrate on it. Alright... he could do this... maybe.

Thomas watched quietly for a time. Maybe...?!

"Do not second-guess yourself." He chimed in, "If you practiced like I instructed you to, this should be child's play. Simply focus the energy into the nessicary parts of your body to lift the statue."

Ter found that he rather liked those words, they were an encouragement that he could go for. Not second guessing himself, huh? Well he would make sure to do that and given the snake had more then enough confidence in himself he approached the snake statues, looking over the one that he was supposed to lift.

He coiled himself to get into a position that would better for lifting up something of this size and shape. He focused on muscles that he needed for this task before his hands reached out to grab hold of the statue and started to lift up on it. At first it didn't seem to be doing a thing, make him feel as though he were attempting to lift up Baroness instead of just some statue.

There was a hissing laugh from behind him, that of Baroness as she watched her boy struggling and failing at trying to get the statue. The sound it seemed and the taunting that went along with it seemed to be what the cobra needed as the statue started to lift up upon hearing his dragon laughing at him.

"Do not let your mind wander!" Thomas snapped sharply, tracing the boy's thoughts. "If you lose focus you'll be nothing more than a flattened skin for me to display in front of my next class- an example of what failure means in this class." He folded his arms, "You must learn to tune everything out. Even your dragon friend. Nothing in the world exists apart from the energy you must direct and the object that you must face."

Ter gave a hiss and his hood flared before he turned to look over at the teacher. He starred at the teacher for a moment before he turned back to the statue in front of him. This teacher was distracting him more then Baroness ever could he thought before shaking his head and forced himself to do as he was supposed to do, to clear his mind and concentrate more on the task at hand. His hands slid more under the statue then used his coils to wrap them around the base of the great snake, then drew in a deep breath, and let it out slowly as he lifted up the statue.

It shifted a bit, wobbled, then started to lift it up off the ground. It was slow going at first but became easier as he was able to balance the strength he was channel out and transferred the weight from his coils to just his hands. He lifted it higher and higher, carefully, and slowly then once he had it up he glanced to the teacher before lowering it back to the ground carefully not to let it land on any of his precious coils.

"There." He murmured, letting out a little sighing sound glad to have that thing back on the ground. The spell would be useful when used in tandem to all the other things he'd been learning, mostly those from Kuyoja but for lifting great amounts of weight he would need more practice.

This one certainly had an attitude…. Not always the safest thing around magic. Often times one’s emotions influenced the flow of energy through the body, spirit, and mind. Thankfully, today wasn’t the day the boy would learn ‘the hard way’. Thomas nodded his silent approval and motioned towards the door.

“Very good. You’ve passed your final. Expect to see a report card within a month. Keep practicing and keep sharp. The ability you learned today may serve you well into the future.”
