Reading - 49 Math - 42 +Writing - 54 ----------------- 1450
I'm not sure if that's a good score or not, but that's what I got.

I have no idea what you're talking about... or are SATs like our Grade 10 Literacy Test, wherein they test both literacy and logic?

SAT is something you take in High school, and the score basically says what colleges your smart enough for. The PSAT is the Practice-SAT.
So our entire future mostly rests on a single test.

So, it's like an aptitude test or whatever...
Up here, you just take either U, C, E, or O level courses. (University, College, Apprenticeship or Open. Open means it's a mix of academic and applied kids)
What most of our universities do is take your top 6 U level courses and find your average as well as individual marks in courses. Obviously, they also have to check to see if you have all the prerequisite courses.
I'm fairly sure our colleges are the same, but since I'm more university-bound, I don't pay much attention to colleges.
Our literacy test (We write a practice in our grade 9 year, and have the actual thing in grade 10, which will be in a month or so) is basically seeing if you can A) Read B) Read the whole question properly and understand the question C) Write D) Spell E) Succeed at life

Yeah, ours is pretty basic. But they dock you marks for the stupidest of mistakes, and you'd be surprised at how many kids I know that have failed it. Multiple Times. Well, the multiple times are generally the white trash kids, but still.

Hammi, you're the same age as me, right? I mean, I know I'm homeschooled and all, but darn--why haven't I had a PSAT before? o_O
Eh. Well, whatever. Being homeschooled and probably going with the job I think I'm going for, I don't really need to take the SAT. *shrug*
Yes, I don't know if that's a good score, either. Is it a score out of 2000 points, or what? And how does 49, 42, and 54 add up to 1450? Or are those %'s next to the tested areas added up to total points?

s**t, I forgot about this thread.
To answer your question, L, for the PSAT, it's on a scale of 220, I think, but for the real SAT, it's on a scale for 2200, so basically, if you got a 160 composite on the PSAT for Math, then you have an SAT score of 1600 and most people just use the SAT format.
Anyways, here're mine:
Reading - 60 Math - 58 +Writing - 62 --------------- 1800

Took the PSAT a year or two back. Don't remember the grade, but I remember that the english part was really high. (I must have the paper for that around here somewhere. Will give a quick look...ok, can't find it at the moment, but I know it's here somewhere.)
