Moghedien noted the soft foot fall of Liriel as the other wolf followed her silently, she contented herself to her own thoughts and planned her moves, her mind working over each idea meticulously. The only sound came from the soft clicking of the silver bangles about her forelegs, something she herself did not notice anymore. She vaguely noted Damon's scent as he moved off to her left, following her every move, his scent was faint but she knew it well enough to catch it on the air.
Deeper she went, moving into the heart of the pack lands until she came closer to the area where she knew the alpha male was most likely to be. Halting for a moment she waited for Liriel to catch up, looking over her shoulder she fixed her ice blue eyes to the masked female, she decided not to say anything to the other female, the alpha would make up his mind about her soon enough. Turning back she started into the clearing, her eyes falling upon the large, main den.
Looking about she noted it was rather quite, though that didn't surprise her, with the two lords off trying to get tributes from two of the surrounding packs, that only left the beta's to guard the territory and the limited numbers of gamma's to mind the few pups. She hoped bringing Liriel would work in her favour, another clever wolf to his pack should be welcomed and a female at that.
Casting her eyes up the rock face she found her target, the large male was standing, looking down upon them. She bowed her head slightly in acknowledgement and waited to be addressed.

Liriel padded silently along behind Moghedien, only now noticing the scent of another nearby wolf. Whomever it was, he hadn't bothered her yet, and she suspected that that would remain the case, so long as she was courteous. It didn't matter now..She had much larger matters on her mind for the moment. It was time to meet the Goblin King, and she couldn't let her mind wander off now.
She perfected her graceful stride and altered her carriage for the meeting, carefully picking her soft steps through the underbrush with posture suited to that of an elegant huntress. That was what she was, wasn't it? A lovely, delicate-looking thing with the teeth and claws and temper of a killer. It just seemed to suit her so.
She smelled the strong one again..and she made sure to dip her head and tail a little more submissively than she had for the female, though her golden eyes reflected strength and bold cunning despite her posture. She soon came to stand just slightly behind Moghedien and a little to her right, looking up to the majestic, demon-masked alpha. Her eyes flickered for only a moment in surprise before she bowed her head out of respect, as Moghedien had done.
She could tell already that this male was one that she could learn a thing or two from.

Chernabog stood high on the sloped top of the den entrance, his mood was foul, no coy smirk lessened the cruel edge of his mouth. His eyes were narrowed as he surveyed the area around the den with an impatient edge. The blood-red stone against his neck cast a strange glow down his front. He twisted slowly his horns lowering as his gaze met the ice blue of Moghedien.
His eyes moved from hers to the violet wolf that had followed her, his hackles bristled a moment before a slight smirk crossed his lips. His fangs gleamed pearl white beneath the shining metal fangs over them. He tipped his head and gave a slight chuckle.
"Tired of my attentions my little ice queen? Come to bring me some new treat to distract me?"
While his mood was foul he had a feeling that Mog was about to lift his spirits.

Lifting her head to met his fiery eyes, as he addressed her. In reply she spoke, her voice soft like snowfall and possessing the same amount of heat, 'Tire of your attentions? No my lord, simply fore filling my duty as Lady; you did not assign me to a particular task thus I used my own initiative and brought you my own tribute. Also she possesses a few similar talents that I myself possess and competition is always a good thing; it brings out the best in us...'
She let her eyes rest upon his for a moment longer, allowing her words to sink in, before looking back over her right shoulder and looking Liriel in the eye before again resting upon the deep red of the alpha. 'This, my lord, is Liriel.'

Liriel smiled beneath her mask at the thought of having to compete with Moghedien. It sounded like a fun enough game to her, but something back in her twisted little mind wondered for a moment on what things might just happen to the loser..No, losing just wouldn't do. She wanted to shine.
At the mention of her name, Liriel took a step foreward, sweeping one forepaw back and leaning down into a sort of courtsey, her voice but a dark, silky whisper from her throat. "Greetings, Goblin King.." Her golden eyes chanced a glance upwards to seek his, a fiery spark of will stayed lit behind them as she studied the twisted enraged souls that seemed trapped in his coat. Her thoughts drifted away..to the same place they always wandered, seeking relentlessly for the mysteries of the unknown.
So this is the spider at the center of it all...
Not a spider..but a demon..
He looks to have been to hell and back..
Mayhaps he knows what there is beyond this plane..
It was at these times that she couldn't help but look like she was..seeing things..

A soft breeze passed through the dark forest and for a moment the wicked alpha's fur moved with the wind. Each strand swayed in a smooth motion that made the demons within the pattern of his fur open their mouths in silent screams, and writhe over his body. He pounced down infront of Mog with a grace that was almost feline and grinned.
"Really now? Such a clever lady, such ambition...let us see this tribute." His eyes slid over to Liriel and raked her form from the tips of her ears and down to the tip of her tail. Slowly he allowed his eyes to roam back up pausing at the trinket that hung from her neck. He gazed for a moment at the golden chain draped over her back and his lips lifted in a silent snarl. His eyes flicked to her feathery mask and the snarl turned into a smirk.
"Very impressive, let us hope that your fellow lords bring a tribute to this pack that is equally or more impressive." He tipped his muzzle towards Mog in a small nod of appreciation and thanks. He was not cruel to his own pack, not without reason. He could be gracious and rewarding and of course he recognized that Mog had done something special.
While he could take this violet treasure as a plaything, an omega, one to keep Selene company, he knew better. In Liriel he saw competition, and a strange fire within her yellow eyes. If his pretty little Mog was an ice queen, then Liriel was a duchess of darkness. In her he saw the potential to rise up, but did she have the will? Would his little duchess be playing for the position of queen, and for that matter would Mog as well? His eyes danced over her once more, she was very pretty, but beauty was easy enough for him to find and take. It was spirit like that of Valdis and Mog that made his blood boil.
"Greetings Little Liriel, have you come to this pack to be an equal among the ranks, or a plaything for them?" He grinned as he gazed into her eyes his curiosity sparked by what may lay within her mind, a dark pattern that he hoped to unravel.

Mog held his gaze and lowered her eyes slightly and blinked slowly, a symbol of acknowledgement as the alpha offered is thanks. As he turned his attentions to Liriel, Mog slipped by him, close enough that she felt his body heat radiate from him and made her way towards the main den, as her paws touched upon the stone floor, she turned gracefully and lowered herself down; laying with her hips twisted slightly, her hind legs resting to the right of her, though her shoulders were facing the alpha and Liriel, her forelegs crossed delicately out in front of her. She fixed her cool eyes to the scene in front of her, interested to see what the alpha would make of the female and how she would react. Intent to see how the alpha would place her and how much she had to worry about her competition; though always several steps ahead, Mog still had plenty of tricks up her 'sleeve'.

Liriel stepped up with a delicate lift of her muzzle once Mog left her on her own, facing the alpha without fear. Only wolves who belonged within this sort of pack would be unafraid, and she could tell that. Liriel was just insane enough to mask any nervousness she had..especially at the word 'plaything'.
The fire in her eyes seemed to double defiantly at the mere word as her lips curled into a suble smirk after the alpha's question. A plaything? Her? No! The world was her plaything and she would be damned if she were tossed about and trampled upon by others. She was made of better stuff than that. " With all due respect, my King..I am a plaything for no wolf that lives..But I am not almighty..I am at the mercy of the great powers that shape this world just as any of us is. No, I have come to be an equal amongst your pack."
She looked back to Moghedien and around the main den area before affixing her gaze back to the masked alpha, her smirk easing into a more relaxed, albeit evil, smile.
"One cannot expect a skilled wolfess to be content with the position of a doormat..such waste is shameful..Wouldn't you think?"
Her head quirked slightly to the side to punctuate her question, the feathers of her mask trembling as her question hung in the air. She was as she was..skilled at stealth and wheedling information out of others. Surely the Reign of Terror would have a place for such a wolf that could stealthily aid the spread of terror.

Chernabog hid his glee at seeing the fire double in Liriel's eyes, so his little dark duchess was indeed more then a plaything. He chuckled softly and tipped his head before turning to Mog. Chernabog often turned his back when others might not, he had been a fighter from birth and no attack from behind made him wary instead it fueled him.
"My little ice queen you seem to have brought the perfect contrast to your own sharp wit and beauty." He grinned and turned back to Liriel.
"I am anything but wasteful, and it's very clear that you would be no doormat...you will be allowed to join us, and find or carve out your own place within this pack."

She watched with cool calculating eyes. Yes, Liriel was a perfect contrast to her and thus a great opponent, she hoped this would help her shine more in the eyes in the alpha. Interesting though how the alpha choose not to place a rank upon her and told her in his own words, she must find her own place, very interesting.
Turning her attentions from the two wolves in front of her she looked about the area, funny how this being the main den was so quiet, but then again not; the others would be out training the pups, hunting or, for the lords, getting tributes. Noting the strong scent of a female she twisted to look back into the depths of the cave, the scent was strong, not because the wolf was close but because she must of spent a great deal of time here. From her and Damon's careful investigations she had found out the alpha had captured a female and kept her as a slave, bestowing her upon one of the lords as a play thing.
Intrigued to see if this scent did indeed belong to that wolf she rose, turning her back upon the alpha and Liriel moving deeper into the darkness.

Liriel cast an ambitious gaze across the main denning area, surveying the area to get an idea of where the best dens were dug in relation to where the alpha must sleep. As Moghedien slipped away into the main den, a soft, dark smile began to play across her maw. Wanted competition, did she? Competition for what, she wondered.. power, status, authority? She looked back towards the alpha and smiled again.
Or maybe she was wanting..something else..
Oh yes, she could play that game.
Finally she picked herself up and strode gracefully around the main denning area to get a closer look at some of the better dens, deliberately coming just a little bit closer to Chernabog as she slid past him. She knew that one did not have to make it obvious that she still wanted a little of his attention..just a little whiff, a tease, would be enough. She kept her gaze focused on the dens, acting as if she hadn't noticed that she had come close to him at all.
"I was brought here as a match to your lady..where would one such as herself take up residence, my King..?"She said, that same ambitious fire still lighting up her golden eyes as she turned her head to face him again.

Chernabog grinned as he noticed Mog slip into the den, perhaps he could follow her and they could spend a little time helping him get over his stress. He turned as Liriel brushed past him and held back another grin. Well now, wasn't that interesting...
He smirked and stood slowly circling Liriel, his tail brushed her neck and he chuckled. "If you think yourself worthy of being a Lady in our court, then select one of the unclaimed dens closest to this one. They are impossible to miss..." Just as the main den shone in the filtered sunlight so too did those of the lords and ladies. The black obsidian rock marked each den with a jagged formation, a perfect blend of a protective roof, and an ideal lookout point.
If liriel was going to be a lady then perhaps it was time he re-thought the ranks. As soon as his lords returned a pack meeting would be perfect, for introductions, demotions, and promotions.

Moving back into the depths of the cave Mog noticed the scent becoming slightly stronger, more condensed; though once she reached the back of the cave to her surprise nothing was too be found. A sparkling entered her eyes, now this would cause things within the pack to be very eventful indeed.
Turning smoothly she glided back to the mouth of the cave, her eyes falling upon the alpha circling Liriel. She pushed thoughts of Liriel and her plans to beat her to one side and while the alpha came to stand in front of the masked female she let her voice drift from her lips to caress the ears of the others, 'My alpha, I do believe someone has let the guard slip on your pet; there was no other wolf in the den than myself.'
She set her cool blue eyes on the alpha for a mere moment before flicking them off to the undergrowth to her right, Damon was there, she could smell his faint scent and he always stayed just within ear shot of her. She flicked her nose up and away from the cave; he would understand that signal. Turning her eyes she set them back onto the alpha, waiting for the explosion.

Any thoughts of further provoking the alpha's interest stopped immediately as she heard Mog's voice drift over between them. Something horrible was about to happen and she could feel it, and she thought it wise to take a few steps away from Chernabog once she saw the expectant look on Moghedien's face. The female probably knew more of the alpha's temper than she did, and by the look of it, she didn't want to be the closest thing nearby once the situation had sunk in.
His pet, eh? She stepped further from the alpha still and padded softly over to the den where Moghedien was, sniffing at the air for the scent of the absent wolf. It was still strong..concentrated..definitely female. The masked wolfess's mind began to drift as her nose tipped to sniff along the ground at the female's trail, mumbling darkly under her breath as she went.
"How far have you flown, little bird..."

Chernabog whirled suddenly, the moment was finally a display of what the Alpha normally kept well hidden. The was his muscles coiled, the feral glow from his eyes, and the deep rumbled that came from his chest. His moved like a great waterfall, something that nothing could halt or dam. His fur raised and brushed against Mog's with a crackle of electricity given by the wind.
Only a moment was the great alpha within the den, he curst forth like a geyser and snarled his paws moving over the ground so quickly that he seemed to fly. He spared no glance to Mog or Liriel for he was on the trail...and he intended to return with his prey.
In the dark of the night a bone chilling howl rang out, a warning, a promise, a threat.
