Its a Christmas Party~ The time to be cheery, buy expensive things, get drunk on cider and egg nog, and...sacrifice a tree and decorate its corpse with sparkly things!

So, this is our little Christmas Event, its simply an ORP (Open RolePlay) for those of you interested. You do not need to own a pet to roleplay, but you do need a char. <3

The setting: Hyrule Castle Town Square, Broken Blade Tavern & Inn.

There is light, powdery snow upon the ground outside, sparkling lights gifted by the fairies strung about the fountain and buildings. Inside the Inn, there is a roaring fire in the fireplace, and people are doing their Joy. It is the month of the winter lights, when the holiday of warmth and giving takes place. Come take part!

Tatiana felt herself drawn by the sheer energy of the gathering crowds, particularly as the little fae loved holidays. There was so much to watch and so many things to do. Even one with as short an attention span as she could be appeased by simply observing those who come forth in laughter or idiocy.

Meandering through the myriad of shops, just skirting on the outside, tempted to cause trouble here or there but just barely holding herself back, Tatiana finally settled atop one of the sparkling lights to see if she might find anything of particular interest. It felt oddly amusing in irony.

Luna and Wolfie Bones had been in Hyrule to do their shopping. It was still a bit rare for her to make the journey but it was a time to splurge. She had only visited the Tavern and Inn a few times over the years, but she would have no issue finding it again. Luna really loved the winter, mostly for the snow that had made a gentle blanket for the evening. She had of course switched into her winter clothing and it kept her warm... One could see it was cold for when she breathed, her soft breath could be seen slipping off her lips. But it wasn't herself that she was worried about...

Slipping her crystal blue eyes down to her companion she smiled at the canine. She felt bad when it snowed or rained because Wolfie's wrappings would trail and get dirty and wet. His red eyes would look up to meet hers and he give a soft bark that emitted a happy air to it. He padded happily along Luna's side, his ears twitching when he saw the felines that were lurking about. But he too recognized the area.

As they descended the stars into the back alley Tavern and Inn; the warm and inviting light from the inside was soon joined by the noise. She hadn't been to another holiday party aside from in her village. It was nice to socialize. Reaching the door, Luna's hand took hold, and pulled it open. Wolfie was wiggled his way in before her and looked around.

small little cotton balls filled the fresh breezy air, it was a wonderful feeling, as the cold lifted all the stuffy breath from your lungs filling it with wonderful feeling of Christmas. It was different this year, usually V was spending this time with her family, or traveling here to sell their goods for the new year however now she was on her journey with her new found companion it wasn't as routine like.

Looking down at her friend the wolfos kept her eyes direct, she stroked delicate fingers through Star's soft silky fur which was damp by the powdery snow. Maybe it was time they settled for the night;song and laughter fluttered their ears causing both heads to turn, with a small smile V nodded to Star and the wolfos immediately walked in that direction.

Descending from her mount, she hugged Star and petted her in praise for the long journey, following another into the tavern which was bustling with people and their partners. With a light chuckle she gestured her own in and made her way in after.

Descending from a nearby tree, 'Nia shuddered as a frosty breeze tickled her tanned skin, her companian, Eros disliked the lack of heat, shivering while poking his jade colored head out of a small, wooden basket 'Nia was holding.

Henia wasn't acustomed to the cold weather that the Town Square offered at this time of year, she heavily prefered the warmer, more tropical feel of the forest, another wave of cold winter wind tangled with her scarf, almost carrying it away with it, she shivered once more, 'till she saw a sign that read 'Broken Blade Tavern & Inn'.

"Finaly", she whispered to herself.

She opened the door to see a few people mingling in the bar and a few
chatting by the fireplace, she shuffled her way to the counter and sat on a comfy chair in the corner.

"Dules, what are we doing here?" Rellen hugged the leather jacket Dules had lent her closer to her chest. "This is boring, they don't even have the good silver out."

Dules laughed goodnaturedly as his eyes swept over the room. His gaze caught that of a pretty barmaid and at once both his eyebrows and his beer mug raised in recognition. With her hair up in loose curls and her assets practically falling out she was exactly Dules' type.

"Bear with me Rel, just a little longer and we'll go." He kissed the glowering girl on the head, careful to muss her hair a bit, and sauntered to meet the waitress at the bar. As he passed a table of young couples he nonchalantly plucked a long stemed flower from a woman's bouquet as she chatted uninterrupted. Rellen watched unamused as Dules handed the flower to the floozy.

"He knows I hate when he does that. He abandons me for that. That... thing couldn't charm herself out of a paper bag." Rellen sat back in her seat, strangely comforted by her annoyance. Melisande, seated squarely on her lap, cuddled up against her chest, gave a little giggle and raised her body tempurature. Melisande's warmth spread throughout Rellen's body and for a moment she almost forgot about Dules' lack of presence. The tempurature slowly increased... until the tang of black smoke reached Rellen's nostrils. Upon looking down Rel realized that the fabric beneath Melisande was starting to singe, the little thing had raised her body heat to the point of starting another small fire.

Rellen scowled and stood quickly; Melisande slowly tumbled away from her lap, a mixture of suprise and laughter following her.

The door to the inn opened and shut with a small wind full of powdery decoration spilled across the floor. The snow quickly melted where it settled as a small boy stamped his black leather booted feet, while carrying a large lizard-like creature, many to know that it was a small dodongo, not close to being fully grown. A real ranger would know that it was still a mite - a growing salamander.

"Y-y-you be good and I get you real food, y'hear me, G-Gwyndel?" Mirrari whispered towards the white and orange creature. He put the salamander down and looked around, my was it packed with people! He wondered shyly as an after-thought if the people wouldn't mind Gwyndel inside or if he should have asked. It was just too cold for her really!

"S-stay cose to me," The Rito child walked unsteadily and wormed his way towards the bar, closest to the fireplace. Gwyndel just moved things aside as she passed. A few startled glances around from the patrons and border-line neutral looks followed the bowed white-blonde mop and his companion. When he got to the barkeep he cleared his thoat nervously.

"Hm, ah. I-is it possible to, ah, g-get something hot to eat and drink please?" He was very intimidated by all the adults in one room, but he was a big boy! He can do anything, especially if he was sent on such an important mission. Gwyndel tapped her claws on the wooden floor, watching the motion lazily with barely contained irritation. He had gotten a nod from the busy person from behind the counter and he went to go get a seat near the fireplace. Once sitting the boy unslung the cittern he was carrying on his back to fine tune the instrument. Gwyndel followed like a tame pet and laid herself close to the fire to warm up.

Luna looked behind her, moving out of the way for the other that had come in shortly after. It was oddly busy. Okay well not oddly, but there were a lot of people it's be hard to find somewhere to sit. The young adult hyrulian nickered at Wolfie as she finally stopped the fire place and made it her target. Even if she had to sit on the floor, least Wolfie could draw off his fur and wrappings. It was as she moved through the crowd, she caught sight of a male that was handing the barmaid a flower, and then a girl suddenly stand. Raising a slight brow should could only think what was happening.

But it wasn't her business nor her concern. Though the thought made her think of the males in her village. But as quick as the thought had come it left as she was passed by a boy and his reptilian friend who went to the fire. She was rather surprised by the young people she was seeing in such a place.

Reaching the fire pit, the warmth instantly took hold of her body. She pushed back the hood of her cloak; And she pulled something from her hair. "Oh no..." She looked at the soaked paper. "Well... they were cute while they lasted..." She tilted her head some tossing it into the fire. "I'll have to try and get another pair... I love those cat ear headbands." She laughed looking down at Wolfie who's red eyes looked up at her and then went to the fire where her took a corner; trying to avoid the other creature.

After she pulled off her cloak and fixed her hair she looked around, taking in the environment. It was certainly cheerful. She hoped that she might make some friends...

Stepping through the snowy grounds, Blade soon found himself at the doors of one of the inns at Hyrule Castle Town. Before entering, he glanced over in the general of Death Mountain. Volvagia had decided to stay there rather than come down to the chilled area Blade now stood in. And he couldn't blame the fiery creature either. The thief already didn't like being in the cold so much, and he doubted that Volvagia would like it any better.

Not wanting to stay out in the cool and snowy air, he opened the door and stepped into the warmth. Almost immediately he felt a sense of relief wash over him as he did so.

For a moment, he glanced around at the other patrons of the inn, spotting a familiar Rito and Dodongo not too far away. And just as before, Mirrari seemed to be a bit nerve wracked. A bit amused, he made his way over towards the young Rito, standing near the fireplace as well.

"Hey there. Didn't expect to see you here Mirrari. How've you been?"

Stumbling a little, V made sure to step over the little puppy by their feet, without seeing it she almost crushed the poor creature! sighing in relief the girl made a surprised glance at another that came in shortly after; all these small people! It was hard keeping up with the quick pace of Christmas everyone juggling about places. With an apologetic nod to the woman who seemed to be partners with the small wolfos she tried to grasp anywhere at all to sit, sadly it looked busy but one spot was clear, a tiny seat at the bar.

Star and v made their way over to the bar, the starry creature sitting by her masters side and V looked at the barkeep opening her mouth to order but the muffling sounds of another caught him first; chuckling lightly she wafted her hand to be dismissed ruffling the crown fur of her partner. "Its ok, we'll eat soon" To be honest the little food they had on the journey was far long ago but the warmth was too welcoming now to turn away. Celebrating was no time to worry about fragile little things anyway.

Taking to another small creature, there seemed to be alot of them here, her eyes peeled wide. "Oh my, I've never seen such an adorable little thing" the reptilian caught attention and with V calling it adorable Star's ears then perked.

[[ Tee hee I shouldn't be posting since I'm at work. Hopefully I won't get caught. *adds more since I didn't finish by the time I had to jet out of work* ]]

Mirrari's eyes widened. "H-hey there! I-I'm doing well," the Rito smiled his beaky smile, "I was entrusted t-to a real adventure this time Mister Blade." He replied as a matter of factly. But Gwyndel grumbled. She wasn't happy to see Blade Kuroda, having picked her up like a shrimp. Well she was bigger now and no amount of strength could lift her!

"Here you go boy," the serving wench said when in range of hearing as she laid a platter down. The meal was festooned with gravy and mashed potatoes other vegitables and had a bit of seasoned chicken to the side. His mug contained hot spiced cider. Before the wench tuned to go away she looked at Blade and then to Luna.

"Can I get anything for you two?" The woman looked Blade up and down and then Luna.

Gwyndel sniffed around making a grumbling sound. She smelled mushrooms, her favorite. "Gwar!" She anounced to Mirrari.

"Oh yes, Mister Blade, it seems that I-I've kept my at-t-tacker. She's really, nice, a-actually w-when she isn't feeling like a sore - Ow! - I mean," Mirrari's eyes squinted back from the pain in his leg since Gwyndel headbutted him, "I mean s-she's the most wonderful companion an-anyone could ask for, and her lovely name is Gwyndel."
PostPosted: Sun Dec 14, 2008 10:22 am

Grinning lightly, Blade nodded when he heard that Mirrari was doing pretty well. He shot a light glance towards the candy corn colored dodongo, who didn't seem all too happy to see him, then looked over towards the serving wench as she stopped by.

"Hm.. Just some hot cider would be fine for now," he said in response before turning his attention back to the young Rito. Listening to what the boy had to say in regards to his new companion, he let out a light chuckle and shook his head to himself.

"Well that's good to hear," he started before kneeling down to try and pat Gwyndel on the head, "Sorry about what happened the first time we met, Gwyndel."

"I should have tried to get Volvagia to come down here with me, I think he would have liked meeting her again. But he doesn't really like being out in the cold a whole lot as you might guess.."

A suddenly distracted Melisande veered off towards the fireplace as Rellen shooed away the pink flames remaining on the hem of her skirt. She glanced at Dules, his upper body resting on the bar top as the waitress let loose a stream of high pitched giggles, and then at Melisande, who was now seated before the fireplace casually sticking her hands into the flames and pulling out small handfuls of fire. Rel took a deep breath, let as much agitation as possible go with its release and then reached for the shot placed before the man seated beside her. Before the man could voice his refusal Rel had downed the spicy liquor and turned for the fireplace with long, confidant strides. She tossed the shot glass to the floor and plucked Melisande up off the hearth.

“Rel no! Rel no! Rel no! Rel no!” Melisande’s pleading rang in Rellen’s ears. The fire collected in her hands fell away and dissipated as her little black wings began to beat violently against Rellen’s arms. It was clear to Rel that she had to get Melisande out of the building, if Melis happened to reemerge it wouldn’t be easy to maintain a low profile. Luckily it appeared as if the other guests maintained a volume able to mask the whines from the little pink scarecrow. Rel skimmed the room for Dules and by chance caught his eye. His tanned face pinched up at the sight of Melisande’s pink hands entangling themselves in Rel’s thick black strands and without a goodbye to his barmaid he pushed himself through the crowd, a stream of curse words trailing behind.

[[Just to update everyone I have two more customs on the way and I'm not too keen on RPing them quite yet (so I dunno what they're doing in the midst of all this) but I did give short descriptions of them in my journal. Also changed in Melisande's relationship with Rel and Dules, the weapons they prefer, and yeah I think that's about it. To see the updates check out the journal!]]

This was getting tough for Luna. So much was going on and she only had her two eyes and ears. She wasn't able to keep up with everything. But as her eyes scanned she caught the server and she nodded lightly; asking for something warm. It wasn't that she was cold... As she had settled herself in a chair near the fire, she was warm. She had to keep an eye on Wolfie, if he got to close his wraps might catch fire. With a sigh, she looked around; but it was quickly ended as she looked at a small creature that was placing it's hands into the fire.

Luna was rather intrigues by the creature but before she could investigate more; some more commotion occurred ad she was scooped up by the female. As the pink creature protected the male that was flirting with the bar lady came over. It was around that point that Wolfie stood, placing himself between Luna and the protecting creature, watching it carefully.

Luna pushes her darker blue hair from her face, and leaned over to scoop her smaller friend from harms way, letting him sit in her lap. She wondered about the girl that came in with the adult Wolfos... Maybe she should find her and talk, they had something in common already.

Star shook wildly as the melted liquid finally caught her sheltered skin, the warmth was fighting away at the chills and every now and then she would try to shake the remaining ones off. The blue aura's around her floated comforting the creature, she would raise a paw to try and pat one familiar looking head, before it disappeared to re-appear somewhere else giggling at the wolfo's tries.

V watched this, the spirits always fascinated her, wondering where they came from all of a sudden after summoning the skull accidentally. Her eyes wandered, finally getting a drink from the bar she felt too crowded and looked over by the cozy fire; gasping enthusiastically, her gaze shifted to the dark companion - Star nodded in comprehension.

Making their way over, V paused seeing the faces of a small pup and the woman she had apologized to at entering, it was nice to find a friendly face through out the whole crowd, it wasn't that she was scared just nervous. Being closed in by strangers was always... Quite nerve racking. "Mind If I join you?" she smiled, bowing her head a little. Star bowed her head too, the glowing spirits tilted their head clueless in their curiosity.
