((This is a private RP for Buffy, Imbri, and crispywondermint))

As with every other day the past week, the sky was a clear cerulean blue, the golden, shiny sun like a brilliant gem. Every pulsing wave of heat that came from it seemed to scream its pride, glittering off the water in the distance. There was just a hint of salt to the air, and birds chirped happily overhead as Renee sat on a bench near the Walk of Fame Talent Agencies, randomly sketching ideas for her big project as she listedned to the radio. Apparently, Lourdes Milton was at it again, this newest bit of celebrity gossip interrupting the songs that had been pumping out of the tiny radio at a smoothie booth just a block or so away.

In short, it was another brilliantly perfect day, and it was all Renee could do not to glare up at the sky and demand a refund. For her, it had been an abysmal disaster, and it wasn't even noon yet. Not only had the shipment of fabrics she'd been depending on not arrived, but it wouldn't be in until sometime tomorrow. She'd been working like crazy on all the odds and ends so she could jump in and devote herself to her work, but now that was a no-go. Those who had been around showed mild to no interest, absorbed in their own work or reading up on the latest gossip and fashion. She'd tried to mingle, but it wasn't going too well. The lounge had sounding promising, but she'd shortly gone stir-crazy and had finally walked the distance back to her apartment, snagged her sketchbook and colored pencils, and decided to people watch until inspiration hit or fate decided to toss her a few scraps.

Though she should have known better, being accepted by Walk of Fame didn't mean instant gratification. If anything, there was more work for her now, with expectations and deadlines. That particular thought sent a thrill down her spine. She'd make it work, she would. She'd make her mark on the world, and she'd be able to hold her head high with the best of them. At least, that was the dream.

And it all started with making herself work, even when she couldn't. She couldn't have a line if she didn't have designs: how quickly the world was ready to bring her back to reality. Laughing softly under her breath, Renee shook her head and blew a little puff of a sigh, a few loose strands of her dark hair flying up before drifting back down and slightly obscuring her view.

Today Riley had braided her long, fake hair to keep it our of her face and had put on an outfit that stated she didn't care about fashion today. She was a little tired of trying to look fashion forward, when she couldn't tell white from beige or pink from salmon, so she was now in a black shirt and brown cargo pants, and the only reason anyone could tell she was a girl was from the slight curve shown by the tight shirt.

She was on her way out of the agency, when she spotted a girl she hadn't seen before sitting on one of the benches. It wasn't normally in her character to be nosiy, but she saw the girl was sketching and wondered what she was bent over so intently.

The dancer walked quietly behind the bench and leaned over, her braid falling forward as she did, almost hitting the girl. Riley snapped back, whipping her hair behind her.

"Ouch! Er..I mean, Hi there!"

Oz huffed, shoving his hands in his hoody. So his date with Laleh had recently gotten out.. No help to him of course, him beingt he one who told Ella Dengenerate.
He had not moved on, but was playing the field, so how did that mean he got around?
The Lorenz Milton blog, really pissed him off, not to mention the fact that apparently Vagdonna was plotting her well rounded revenge.

He had been fuming, swearing smoke was coming from his ears, until he saw someone familiar. He had been running into Riley quite a bit lately.. The girl seemed to be everywhere.. But if he wasnt careful, Lorenz might write about him being seen with her too often.

She was talking to someone clutchingtheir sketchbook, and that drew his curiousty aswell. He loved art.

Determined to strike up a conversation, Oz walked over to the two girls, smiling.

"Good afternoon."

There was something off about the sketch; the lines of cloth surely wouldn't fall like that...Renee was so absorbed in trying to fix the problem that she hadn't heard Riley come up behind her. If her shadow hadn't darkened the paper enough to distract her, she might've had no warning at all; as it was, she still jumped at the sound of the rich voice off to her side.

"Hello," she said with a slight, friendly smile. The girl's features were somewhat dark and utterly exotic; Renee immediately noted the particular shape or her eyes, the planes of her face, and the utter lack of fashion inspiration the girl had. A million ideas sparked and flew to mind at the very sight of her, and she had to reign in the sudden urge of inspiration. Physical and creative fatigue were two very different things, she decided with a mental chuckle.

"Did you want a seat?" she aked, nodding to the other side of the bench. Hopefully she wasn't taking up too much space or something.

The radio had stopped describing the latest social scandals of hollywood and had moved on to the top-fourty list.

Before they could really start talking, someone was coming up from across the street, dark hair glistening in teh sunlight. Cursed, overly-cheery sunlight. Renee had to remind herself she was less than pleased about having her shipment not coming in on time. It was hard enough trying to work and get famous at the same time, but the girl's good-natured smile was sort of infectous, and extra company was a change of pace from the day-to-day routine.

"Good afternoon," Renee returned, nodding in his direction, smile still in place. She turned her sketchpad upside down as she lay it across her lap, keeping her design out of sight. Perhaps these two knew each other, or perhaps the boy - well, not really a boy, as he looked older than she was, herself - was just very friendly. Sitting outside the Walk of Fame agency's complex, anything was possible just then.

Riley tried to look like she wasn't being nosy, but standing that close, it was kind of obvious. "Oh, uh, sure," she said, moving around from the back to take a seat on the bench next to the girl. "I was just...passing and you looked so involved, I was curious what you were doing." She wondered if the girl wanted to be left alone at all and if it was rude to be so forward.

The young dancer looked up and smiled warmly at Oz. "Hi there," she said. "Fancy meeting you here." Maybe he was an outdoors-y person, since that's where she seemed to keep bumping into him at. "Out for another afternoon stroll?"
