Glancing about, a fiery red-haired stallion walked throughout the forest. He had parted ways with Seraphia awhile back and he had emerged from his dark dungeon. Not too much time had passed but he was still adjusting to his reappearance into the world. He had gone back to visit Chitsa and she was glad to see him again and the feeling was mutual. He couldn't forget what had happened between him and Seraphia in that dark place...
Axel continued to walk aimlessly; he had no place to be. But he looked at his surroundings, it was weird seeing light again and actually walking through it. His eyes had to readjust but he was quick. Tossing his mane lazily, not much had been on his mind lately. Seraphia of course. She had a huge influence over him and is the reason why he was out here now.

Ever diligent in her hunt the golden maned mare was once again on the prowl. This time she was hot on a trail, or so she thought. The other night she had found a large entirely black feather. It couldn't belong to anyone else! It couldn't!
Not long after she had found quite literally a trail. She followed it now the trail of, well to be perfectly honest she had no idea what it was littering the ground but it was something. Something was much better then no lead at all. She kept her eyes glued to whatever it was on the earth following it each and every turn no matter how pointless it seemed. It was only as it began to get darker that she lifted her head to look around.
The forest? When had she gone in here? She looked around a little concerned. It was so easy to get lost in here. It had happened once again but luckily she had happened upon help. She frowned thinking about it, she shouldn't have left. A little movement drew her from her thoughts and she stared. Something was out there and she got a feeling she knew who.
Abandoning the trail she charged towards it. "I've got you now!" She cried moving as fast as she could. She had to catch him before he could take off. She came skidding to a screeching halt as she found that the moving shape was not who she thought it was. "Fire Spike?" She asked her golden eyes going wide. Somehow he was the last person she was expecting to see but he brought a smile to her face.

It had been months since she had last seen the one that she thought was the right one. It had also been a while since she had left the safety of her new family, Ochoco was off somewhere and her children grown and off searching for themselves, this left Wica to toil away her time alone. Today she had come to this place for no real reason to get away she guessed, wings pulled to her sides and head raised. She stepped through the grass she headed for the trees.
The looming darkness drew back long past memories, though the sounds of others with said trees peeked her curious nature. Someone was calling to someone else? Loping past the outer line she headed deeper until she could hear others rustling about. Slowing her own pace and soon stopping, in the distance and between the branches, she could see something, red. Squinting she had to get a closer look, slowly she headed closer. Someone was there and another coming toward them. Stopping again when someone called out a name? Head tilting she remained hidden, watching, her eyes widening a bit as she saw who it was. Axel, but who?
Looking to the side she spotted someone coming toward him, another mare? So, he had found someone after she left him, but what drew her here? Surely not just dumb luck, something else was drawing her here, something it felt needed to be concluded. Thinking back to their partin, Wica though she had closed everything, but apparently not in this case, keeping to the shadows, though her pale mane and tail stuck out like snow against the brown of the trees. Hoping to not be seen... Just yet.

Looking up, Axel saw the familiar face. What was she doing here? She was really the last person he was expecting to see. "Phia?" The stallion looked at her carefully wondering if this was just a coincidence or not. "You looking for someone?" He winked playfully at her. Ever since he had come out in the open, Axel had felt a lot more light hearted and that was a good thing.
She looked fine since the last time they had seen each other. And she had been on his thoughts a lot but he didn't dare admit it. So far, things hadn't been too bad for him and he hadn't seen Wica or her mate so again, good things...
Axel thought he had heard something in the distance but it probably was just a squirrel. The stallion looked around feeling that they were being watched... Maybe he was just being paranoid.

She narrowed her eyes slightly in a 'oh you're so funny' fashion. "I believe you know the answer to that question, Fire Spike." She said straightening up. Even standing at her full height she was rather short but at least she looked more respectable then staying in her stopping position. "And you...what are you doing out here?"
She wondered if something had happened and he was retreating back to the dark place. She would have to do something to him if he was. Like pull on his hair until he changed his mind. The look in her eye was one of obvious suspicion. He didn't seem upset so it didn't seem likely but it never hurt to have options.
She remained mostly oblivious to the other presence but she could not shake the feeling that something else was near. It put her on edge.

Wica watched the two from her supposed hiding place listening to them quietly, though she stepped a little forward, thus pulling herself a bit more into sight then she might have wanted to. Golden eyes looked from Axel to the strange mare then back to Axel, wondering what this one was to him. But it seemed that they knew each other so she would just have to keep watching and find out what was up. Well that was the general idea at least. As she stepped closer to them, her footing was lost and she slipped out into the open and almost smack into Axel's side.
Ears laying themselves back, she looked at Axel like a frightened foal, before she picked herself up and stepped back giving some space between them. She had a feeling that her presence would bring back memories of what happened before now, before she retreated back to her foal hood friend.
"Hello... Axel." She said softly, lowering her head a little.

Smirking slightly at Seraphia, Axel shrugged slightly. "Well, nothing really. Just wandering about because I really have nowhere to be." He wasn't going back to that dark place anytime soon but he had considered it. Then he realized that he wasn't going to get anything done by doing so.
Axel was feeling a lot better. He's proof that your environment really does affect your moods and who you are. "Any lu-" He was cut off when he noticed a familiar mare sliding towards him. He didn't flinch when she came towards him but he was just surprised. His eyes went wide as he recognized her. "W-Wica?" He was tongue-tied and he wasn't even sure what to say.
This was insanity. He had gone so well without her and he had no intention of seeing her. What was he supposed to do? Memories from his past began to well up inside his thoughts. Wincing slightly, Axel wanted out. Right now.

"I see." she was rather relieved to hear that he wasn't heading back. Mainly because she didn't want to go back there to drag him back out. Dark was her enemy and not just the horse. She blinked as another entered. One very brown other.
She frowned hearing names exchanged. It seemed they knew each other. How though? There looks didn't exactly look cheerful. One thing was for sure though, she wasn't going to tolerate being ignored or being an after thought. "What do you want Brown One?" She asked taking a step towards the other mare. It was easy deciding her nickname. She was brown, Phia's least favorite color and she didn't think this other was especially needed around. Why give her a nice name?

Wica watched Axel for a few minutes before looking toward the other mare that was coming toward her. Backing up some she skittered around to be on the other side of Axel as if he were going to defend her when really she was just there by accident. Ears laying back she continued watching the mare, hearing the name she had been given. Brown one? Why call her that? Not that she figured it was because she was many shades of brown or anything like that.
"I... I don't really know what I'm going here." he muttered lowering her head some, her wings fanning out a little, though tip pointing downwards. "I could ask the same of you two.."
Shaking her head a bit, she was such a coward that she didn't like unpleasant conflicts and this one was making her very uncomfortable. Head reeling, trying to figure out what brought her here, of all places to go. She had to guess her curious nature had, or something else.
"And... And don't call me Brown one, my name's Wicapi Wakan." She retorted in a shaky voice, though coward down again after wards. "Unless you want me calling you, Pale one?" She looked toward Axel as if for help, but found that perhaps she was looking in the wrong place, they had parted and now... She was becoming confused of what this whole meeting was about.

Axel was unable to move. His pains were slowly coming back to him; the reasons why he went to the dark hell in the first place. Now, the reason he was so upset was right in front of him. Axel had tried to stop thinking about her to no avail and he just wanted to free himself from his past. He was reminded of the times they spent together and what happened in the end. The memories were... painful. He could tell that she was not thinking or feeling the same things as he was.
"Uh..." His eyes were fixed on Wica, she seemed alright... She didn't need him anymore. When she moved to the other side of him, Axel was surprised... He could not defend her any longer.
"Uh... We just met up... coincidentally. It's more strange for you to be out here anyway." He was silently reminded about the time the wolves attacked the two of them in the forest. Axel had imagined that she would avoid the forest after that.
He winced once more when Wica spoke to Seraphia about her nickname. Axel looked to Seraphia wondering how she would react. This meeting was... all to strange.

She glared at the mare. Just what exactly was she thinking? Why would she hide behind Fire Spike? It seemed far more cowardly then him hiding in the dark for such a long time. "You do not want me to call you by that name Brown One." There was warning in her voice and in her eyes. "Unless of course you have decided you want me to hunt you as well."
She gave a firm nod then looked to Fire spike's bright eyes. Something was very off here. He had acted a bit like this when that one mare had come up in their conversation. That mare.
Her golden eyes wandered to the brown one hiding behind him. A spark lit in her eyes as a connection was made. "You're her then..." She said her eyes narrowing dangerously. "Perhaps I should call you by name after all, Wicapi Wakan..." She took time to punctuate every syllable of the mare's name. This was her then, the little tramp that had left Fire Spike in the dark. She smiled sweetly though there was something quite sinister about it.

Ouch, that hurt, she didn't know what hurt her worse, seeing Axel again in the pain he must have been going through with her being there. Or the fact that this new mare was taking things a bit too high strung. What attracted this mare to her friend? Shaking her head, Wica looked to Axel and backed away from the both of them, edging toward the shadows behind her.
"I was closer to him..." Ouch that didn't sound right either. "But we a re still friends, even though we both have moved on to better lives. Or so I had hoped when we parted ways."
Again she looked at Axel, her heart ached to think that her leaving only cast him further into the abyss she had found him in. Perhaps she shouldn't have left him, and kept trying to pull him into the light. Great, here came the guilt the doubt, all the inner pain she hadn't felt in a while, so many wrong choices were made, but one never was. To remain his friend no matter what rode he chose to take upon parting.
"I'm sorry I cast you further into your Abyss, I had hoped that this parting would have been easier." her tone quite as if she had only meant for herself to hear it, yeah, this was going to be tough.

He watched Seraphia carefully. His mind was going a hundred miles per hour. Axel didn't say anything for now but he knew he should. There was a lot to worry about but he was absolutely mortified right now. It was a good thing he didn't have to spell it out for Phia because he probably wouldn't have been able to say it.
He knew that Wica had moved on but he just couldn't get over the fact that he hadn't. Again, only another weakness. When Wica tried to speak, Axel wasn't sure what he should say to that. "Uh. Friends... I guess." He winced again as she spoke about his darkness. "I don't think that you have a right to talk about that."
Axel paused and tried to gather himself because as he said his last sentence, his voice developed a dangerous edge. His eyes narrowed and he continued, "I'm not pointing blame but you can't deny that you had a part in it and that I was hurt too. But you're just not allowed to talk about my demons like nothing ever happened." He was really getting upset with her.
He understood that he was the one that couldn't move on but his darkness was an aspect of himself that she could no longer possibly understand.

Some part of Seraphia truly wanted to just march over and kick the other mare in the chest. What exactly did she mean 'or so she had hoped'? To the golden mare this sounded quite a bit like an insult towards her and she was not going to take it lightly.
"If you are friends then it would be wrong of me to hurt her I suppose..." She said quite casually with a little ruffle of her wings. She took a few steps closer to him a smile growing on her face at the change in his tone. She liked this much better, he sounded quite a bit stronger and she truly loved that.
As he continued to speak he started to sound a little angry even. Her eyes narrowed and she turned to give the brown one a piercing glare. Somehow this didn't sound like they were friends at all, which possibly meant that she'd get to play a little game after all. "You shouldn't hurt Fire Spike..." She murmured getting close enough to rub against his chest very much like a cat would.

This was all getting to be too much, they hadn't even talked longer then a few minutes and already she had backed away from them enough to run if she wanted, in fact she planned to. The words hurt, she hadn't any right to speak of his demons? Why not? Shaking her head, her ears bent themselves back even further at the sound and tone of his voice. He was really mad at her, now was the time to leave.
"FINE!" She shouted. "Remain here with your self and that blind spot!" Shaking her head and turning quickly, she headed back into the trees, eyes closed to keep what was there hidden. "It's not like you give a damn anyways. Then neither should I, even if I still cared about you." She shouted as she ran through the trees, her voice choppy, uncaring of who heard her.
She wasn't about to stop until she was clear of the trees and clear of them. He knew how she was, but he didn't care, he had someone else to worry about, she was on her own until she returned back to her mate. Perhaps she should never have left their home in the first place... It was starting to look like her choices were never good ones after all.
