So the next day came and all the willing parents took their oneroi children to see Santa Claus at the mall. The lines were long, the children were restless, and things didn't look too good for our heroes. However, the Santa, elves, and set decorations were near flawless.

Deshi and Kemis nodded to each other, impressed with the work they had done.

"I told you. This mall does good works." Deshi said with a nod.

"Impressive." Kemis responded.

"I... I can't do this!" Pipermint fretted.

"What? Why not?"

Pipermint was blushing madly at the thought of meeting her mentor.

"I.... I finally get to meet him... after all this time... Do I have anything in my teeth? Is my breath ok? How's my hair? What if I say the wrong thing!?"

"You're fine, Pipermint. If anyone was on Santa's good list, it's you."

"Really?" She looked up with big shining eyes, somewhat watery from worry.

Kemis couldn't help but want to make her feel better. I mean, she was his sister but there was something about those big hopeful brown eyes that got him. Man, and he had wanted to be sarcastic...

"Yeah. He'll love you." He said, ruffling her hair affectionately.

"THANK YOU NYA! <33"

Takuto just narrowed his eyes around him. Too many kids. He wanted to go home.

Wren was in almost the same state of wonder as the other children. Santa? Was it really him? That guy Pipermint is always talking about? She would have to take this opportunity! Now, what did she want for Christmas?

Tanya stood in line, keeping Samantha on a leash. The last thing she needed was for the Oneroi of Fear to run around causing mayhem on a day meant to make people happy. "I wonder if I'm too big to sit on his lap." she mused, not at all serious.

Samantha muttered angrily at being on a leash, then grinned. "Oh no, a zombie invasion! Pipermint, they're going to eat Santa's BRAIN!"

Meghan squeeled as she stood inline with her children, wearing 'I <3 Santa' T-shirt and a matching Santa hat. Despite her age, she still believed in Santa. She held Konata and held Keiko's hand.

Keiko stood still nervously, as she looked around the mall, it all made her nervous. Meeting Santa clause was a huge thing, and she couldn't possibly as him for something. Although, it would be nice for some new Mary Janes, or some sweets. She was suddenly picked up by her mother, shocked. "Mother, I think I'm too big.." she said, but Meghan didn't have trouble holding both of them.

"Oh your never to big to be carried!"

Penny stood in line with Byagane, who was ever so excited. She had brought her camera to take Penny's first Picture with Santa. The small girl hardly looked festive. In fact she had taken it the opposite thanks to one of her mother's movies. She had gotten hold of The Nightmare Before Christmas and was dressed appropriately in Jack and Salley clothing. She sighed, wishing she wasn't here having to deal with this nonsense.

Byagane was still excited. "I can't wait to see you on his lap! Do you know what you will ask him for?"

Penny glared, "I'm going to ask for a quick death."

Ginka was standing in line, high above on the shoulders of her guardian. Ginka was swaying back and forth due to her owner, who was half dazed and trying to keep himself asleep. If you are wondering, than nope. Sheldon did not drink last night. Rather, he spent a 'bonding' moment with Ginka, watching a horrible horror movie. Hell, it was hard for him to even smirk a chuckle when an accomplice of the protagonist got himself decapitated. However, Ginka was rolling with laughter when it occurred. Afterwards, the little frightened Sheldon couldn't go to sleep and Ginka had a hard time also after delivering her vengeance of a nightmare to Iria. Ginka was counting the pins on her doll. Twelve. Well, wasn't she a little short? Sighing, Ginka leaned the other way and pulled a hair pin out of the nearest lady who was also standing in line. Thirteen. Everything was in order!

While Sheldon was still half-snoring, half-balancing, Ginka slid down. She pushed people out of the way as she forwarded her way in the line. She wanted to see who this person was. This, "Santa" and why he was apparently liked by everyone. Hmmph! If Ginka could obtain such power, she wouldn't need to be so nasty. She would be, nastier.

Drake stood in line with her twins. She had always loved christmas because it ment she could spend more time with her family baking cookies and decorating and all of the sappy holiday stuff. She knew Cornelia would love the holiday, give her candy and she's hooked for life. Jack was a different matter entirely. The only holidays he ever celebrated were Halloween and April Fool's Day.

Cornelia looked around in wonder at the decorations all around her. "Is Sandy Claws nice?"

Drake sighed. Ever since the kids saw Nightmare Before Christmas, they continually called him by that name. "Of course he is, and his name is Santa."

"You know, all you have to do is move the n in Santa and it would turn into Satan." Jack smirked.

Cornelia's eyes grew wide at this revelation. But Mommy said he was nice, right?

"Jack, please don't start."

Pipermint's nonbeliever radar was going off but she simply twitched. She could not tell which of the many children in line was not of her own kind. She would have to wait... for now.

"HOHOHOHO!" Santa Claus came out of the back and greeted the children with his familiar catchphrase. "Have you all been good little girls and boys this year?"

The children went wild like they were at a rock concert and Pipermint nearly fainted. She clung to Kemis' arm and whispered. "It's him! It's really him!"

"Yeah... course it is, Pipermint. Would we lie?" He tried not to snicker at how evil this was. What started this massive lie anyway? Telling children someone magical is dropping gifts off at their house if they were good only to have their dreams later crushed by the jagged rocks of reality? Why didn't HE come up with this?

Hannah yelped, clinging to her mother as the crowd cheered and shifted forward when Santa came out from where ever he had been. She was hoisted up and placed on a sturdy hip, feeling weak and flushed from all the sudden energy. This wasn't very peaceful...

Kali glanced at her daughter, a big grin on her face. Even if she didn't believe, it was still hard not to feel excited about a yearly tradition, a true sign of the season. Her smile softened and she lifted Hannah carefully up onto her shoulders, trying to get her high up above everyone, but because of her height, that wasn't working too well. At least Hannah could see better now!

Samantha pointed to a jewelry store. "Look, Tanya... Jewelry."

Tanya dropped the kiddie leash and toddled over to the jewelry store. "Ooh... ideas..."

Samantha freed herself and hurried off.

Ginka blinked at the sudden rush as the crowd yipped as if they were at some rock concert. But apparently, the celebrity did walk out. Pushing we way up to see how he looked, a lock of her hair was tugged violently. "Hey, don't cut in front of me, ugly!" the little boy hissed as he tugged at her hair again. This made Ginka's anger grow steadily as she slapped his hand away and glared at him. The boy glared back before his legs began to wobble and he fell to the floor. "My legs!" he cried as he pushed himself away from Ginka. "I can't feel my legs!" Ginka giggled as she did so. She glared at him again until he started to lose movement in his arms. She had not used her Death Glare in so long. This was too much fun. In truth, Ginka came close to the fact she was ready to kill the boy, concentrating upon his torso to paralyze his lungs. However, she was shifted away and pushed as a small group of the crowd went to try and help him. Ginka giggled manically as she strayed towards the front of the line.

When she saw Santa, she nearly vomited. He was NOT was she expected him to be. She saw him to be an uptight general clad in black with blood diamond red eyes and a shabby but quite intimidating gaze. But he was quite opposite. In truth, Ginka was not in the mood to describe. If she did, she would vomit on the spot. Rather, she brushed against the pins on her doll. Which one would she used today? Suddenly, she snapped the largest pin she had on her doll from its standing. Mhm, today she was using Stellarose (if you are wondering, than yes, she does have separate names from all her special pins). Just to be festive, y'know?

The lights went off, Samantha was ready to cause havok. In the chaos following the lights going off, she managed to tie up an elf and start to drag the scared teenager off. She really wanted to take off the white sundress Tanya had made her wear, it made her so obvious.

"Shini-... wait a sec. Lights aren't supposed to go out when I'm looking at shiny things!"

Cornelia squealed and grabbed on to her mother. Santa had turned out to be big and red, a very intimidating color and then the lights cut off. Despite her mother's assurances, she felt a growing fear of Santa coming upon her.

Perfect, thought Jack when the lights gave out. It gave him the perfect opportunity to pull a prank without anyone seeing. He rushed off through the croud with a smile.

Drake winced when Cornelia screamed. Holding onto her daughter, she searched for Jack with the other. The last thing she needed was to lose him and give him a chance to pull a prank. She only grabbed at air.

The children suddenly began to scream ad the parents went to work at trying to calm them.

Santa waved his arms, not that anyone could really see, and tried to help. "Children, please calm down! Everything is going to be just fine! HOHOHO!"

Pipermint nearly fainted. At a time like this? How could the most perfect day ever in her life be trampled on in such a manner?! NO! She would never left this happen! She would make Santa proud of her! SHE would save Christmas!

She pushed her way through the crowd, whispering "Excuse me!" And "Pardon me!" and "Saving Christmas!" Her destination? The large Christmas tree beside the stage! After all, one of her powers was fixing a broken string of lights. Maybe if she tried hard enough she could make it work independently of the wires and have it shine enough to light the whole area! She'd be like Rupolph! Maybe Santa would ask her to help him in the North Pole! She'd hate to leave her family but they would understand if it was for such an important job!

"Don't worry, Santa! I'm coming!"

"Pipermint! Oh crap, what is she going to do?" Kemis growled and began trying to make his way after her but the mob of frightened children was far too much for him. "Pipermint!"

Jack weaved his way through the crowd with a half formed plan in mind. unfortunately when he rounded the corner around a particularly round mother and child he ran head on into the christmas crazed oneroi.

"WAHH!" Pipermint wailed, throwing up her arms, and flopping to the ground as if her bottom half had just turned into a fish tail.

Kemis stopped dead in his tracks. Pipermint had suddenly vanished under the crowd of children.

"Ah? Are you ok nya?" Pipermint scrambled into a sitting position and looked around for the child that had rammed into her. Despite the fact that she KNEW it had not been her fault, she couldn't help but feel responsible for the whole incident. "I'm so sorry! Let me help you up!"
