Well one. To anyone who I was a little brat or b***h to you like a year ago, sorry. Bad time in my life, hopefully will never go back.

AND TWO. When you get IVs in, are there supposed to be scars from them? I have these marks on my hands and I can't tell if they are from IVs or something else. It's quite annoying, to not know where they come from. Plus they throb sometimes.

Ezzy does not remember you being bratty. Either way, it's okay, time heals most wounds.

And IVs? From my experience, after I get a big ol' needle in my arm, it turns purple and blue and yellow for a little while, but it goes away. There's supposed to be a little bruising right after they're removed, from blood clotting. However, if they hurt, you might want to let a doctor look at them.

Aine had an IV when she was in the hospital around 8 or 9.

I still have a little grey mark from where the needle went in; in between the inside of my elbow. It's getting more faint over time, as it was more prominent when it first healed up, obviously.

So yeah. I've had a likely IV scar for quite a while now, and I'm perfectly fine, as far as I can tell. If it's hurting a lot though, and you had the IV some time ago, I'd recommend seeing a doctor. XD

I have IV scars, ...well. I have blood test/IV scars, because I got 2 or 3 blood tests a month for half a year. Some scarred noticeably, some didn't. And I'm still basically the only person besides doctors that can see the scars, and I can only get blood tests and IVs in one place, inside my left elbow. So I'm more likely to get scars after the same hole gets opened up like 8 times. Basically it depends on the skill of the person placing the IV, how easily you scar, and probably how long it was in and the attention you pay to it when it's healing.

Oh, also, bruising is totally normal. Over half of my pokes had bruises that lasted around a week-two.

Also, w/e@ apology. Irrelevant, IMO.

WB Christa, and IV's usually shouldn't scar for long but it's different for everyone. But they do throb for a little while especially if they were in for a day or so. When I got sick last year the vein that had the IV would throb sometimes for weeks after I got out of the hospital.

I hope you're feeling better from whatever made you need IVs. ):

So it's pretty much normal? They don't throb often though, so I'm guessing that's a good thing. Plus they are pink. I don't know if that really matters a lot.

When I got my IV and this heart rate monitor(heart was going crazy, they freaked), they were both on my hands. Is that weird or something?

And I totally saw the whole Harry Potter thing, Shoy. I totally didn't think of that. GAH VOLDEMORT. gonk gonk

It's just where your veins are biggest and easiest to hit.

my elbow veins in my left arm are the ONLY place where veins can be hit. They've tried other places, too. XD

Haha, I remember you hated me when I joined up last year. xD~
But it made for some great in-game drama!<3
As for the IV thing, my fiance still complains about having the IV puncture spots on her hands from just after Thanksgiving this year.
It's natural...as long as they don't hurt. ^^;;
Personally, I don't see them...but I probably would if they were done to me...or, as Pixie said, if I were a doctor.

But, as usual...I'm late to the party, and everyone else has already answered. xD!
