Personally, I believe emotions tend to influence logic and reason. Usually not in the best of ways either. If I could I would get rid of mine. They just seems to get in the way of things. What do you guys think? (and for the sake of argument I will be taking the Emotions are Pointless side.)

Hmm... I think there are SOME cases where logic should be free from emotion. Howevers, I'm a very emotionally sensitive person, so I think taking feelings out of the equation entirely would only lead to suffering. Which is, you know, bad. XD

Well, it would lead to selfish impulse. Without compassion and empathy, what stops a person from harming another to get their own way?

Hence we would be like wild animals (so to speak) Only survival of the fittest? That's true, but how can one suffer if they don't feel? Also, it doesn't necessarily mean selfish impulse, if people think logicly then unnecessary fighting wouldn't happen. Don't you think?
and the word empathy brought this little dialouge to mind:
"You have my empathy."
"what?"
" I mean I love you."
Can you figure out what I just quoter? XD

In order for people to logically conclude whether fighting is necessary or not, they have to consider if it hurts to keep fighting more than it helps, therefore, emotions play a part.
... Are you quoting Xlormp? =O

(psst it's part of the dialouge between Shinji and Kaoru in the bath tub scene XD) But wouldn't logic also be able to do that. SInce if you look at things logicly, the battle would cost more and kill several thus, making it pointless to continue fighting. or something like that. XD goat is distracting meh. XD
