Have you considered spraying her face with sealant so she's not so shiny?
Wait, on second thought, have you considered getting a real artist to do her face so she looks decent?

My goodness, that's some really terrible spelling there. I think you need to stop paying your college fees; it's obviously getting you nowhere.

Before buying a doll make sure you have money to spend on clothing, wigs and face-ups/body blushing, ect. If you don't have the money to be able to do that then maybe you should rethink being in this hobby since it is rather expensive.

As far as I know, Eru Ryuzaki Roraito hasn't said or done anything bad to you so don't say anything bad to her or about her. If she wanted critique on the faceup or proofreading of her posts, she'd've asked for it. There's nothing wrong with doing a faceup and it ending terrible, that only means there's room for improvement. So long as the owner enjoys it for what it is, that's what matters. No one needs to buy their doll five pairs of shoes for every day of the week, nor does it need a wig in all 7 colours and their hues, nor does it need a wardrobe that rivals the volume of your own.
No one wants to gets flamed, to whatever degree that might entail. Save that for /b/, alright, and get off your power trip.
Now, off of that subject and on to the topic... I really doubt that shininess is from a mere lamp. Did you seal the face after the faceup? Sometimes that can be the red-handed culprit. Those Christmas outfits are adorable - I plan on sewing my boy one, some time soon. I've already started making things for his stocking, and stuffing it. I'll hang it from my dresser in a week or so. What model is your doll? I'm terrible at identifying dolls, but your boy looks kinda like... from Dollzone. Am I right?

If you post something online, be prepared for people to comment on misspelling or bad faceups. Not everyone is going to give you happy dappy responses about how "omg cute" your doll is. It's not like we're really being mean. Most of us are giving her our honest opinions and ways to improve. I don't feel that this is flaming. rolleyes

Not necessarily flaming to the point of trolling, but just making remarks like Desu is kinda uncalled for.

I don't think what she said was all that mean. Just... a lot more honest then anyone wants to hear. I've been flamed and had some terrible things said about my dolls, and this is nothing. I must repeat. This is the internet. If you choose to post pictures of your doll in unflattering clothes and poorly done faceup you should expect to hear some constructive critique.

Eh... I just felt like... if I was her... I'd feel bad.
I think that people should get critique if they ask for it. Just because this is the internet doesn't merit anyone the right to blatantly hurt other people... unless that's just who you are and you do that to people to their faces as well.
Back on topic.
Eru Ryuzaki Roraito, what did you use to faceup your doll anyway...?

I do admit I didn't know he was a boy. My bad. I was going off the faint feminine hints to the clothing, like the feminine colors of the Asian-style outfit and the rose on the cape. If that's what you want in an outfit though, that's cool.
Wow, `MaliceMizer. Geez, I didn't know telling someone their doll's faceup needs help was like insulting their mother.
Testors is like $7- not as good as MSC, but it makes the doll matte. People offer faceups free on DoA to a discount rate. Didn't know that you considered that to be comparable to a huge wardrobe and 'five pairs of shoes for every day of the week' and etc. I guess pointing out someone's terrible faceup makes me an elitist with all of that? Yes! I've always wanted to be elitist. :3
People can do whatever they want with their own property. If she enjoys her doll, that's nice. Doesn't mean I have to coddle her and tell her it's lovely. Realizing something sucks is the only way to improve.
Glad you enjoy your doll, OP. Keep on doin' that. Otherwise the hobby isn't worthwhile. Guess I have to get back to /b/ now. rofl

Did you get lost on your way to the playground? I think you're in the wrong place. This is the internet. Everything is fair game. Also, your font is really irritating. Don't get butthurt now.
