I saw the movie on Wednesday, and finished the book for the first time about 10 minutes ago....I thought it was pretty good, and am sad that I don't have the 2nd one at my house to start reading now sad
Who has read the book, or seen the movie? and who is your favorite character?
Mine totally has to be Alice XD

Totaly love Twilight. I've read all four and saw the movie last Friday. My sis has the soundtrack. I loved it. My favorite character is probably Esme. She's so totally awesome!

I agree, you have got to love Alice! I think Emmett is pretty funny, too, though. And I love Leigh. She's a great character.

I read the first chapter of book 2 at the end of book 1...and now I cannot wait to get ahold of book 2 so I can continue reading.... /cry

My husband has read all 4 books. I've only read the first two. My favorite character is Alice by far, or maybe Carlisle.

Out of the four books in the series, I think Twilight is by far the best one. What do you guys think?

I'm glad you all have something you enjoy so much. But can someone please explain to me the appeal of "Twilight?" I read it and I had to make myself finish it. I just found the two main characters to be as bland as tofu. Alice was pretty cool and I think the actress who plays her in the movie is spot-on, but Bella and Edward are just a collection of tropes.

Alice is my fav from the book and I LOVE Charlie in the movie.. what an adorable dad he is!

I watched it yesterday and I like it smile
Its not the best movie ever, there are some parts that "needs a fix", but it's still good.
My cousin tells me that the books are too much better, so I can't wait to read them.
The character Alice its great.

I think the appeal is this:
1. It shows the one true we all hope and want to believe, that love will conquer all. I don't know anyone who doesn't want that.
2. It is artistically written using two of the oldest and overused figures in fantasy, the vampire and the werewolf, but redone in a way that it's intriguing again.
I at first thought i would be one of a handful of men that read it, but it is very well written and didn't need any help wanting to read it from there.
