Lironax half-walked, half-skipped down the sidewalk happily, one hand and his tentacle clinging faithfully to Silas' hand, the other hand clutching Vicky to his chest. Every time he skipped, his wing flapped frantically, keeping his small frame aloft for the smallest of seconds before he fell back to earth. His golden eyes were kept peeled for the big colorful tent that the small family had passed two yesterdays ago while Silas was running errands. When he had asked Silas what it was, his guardian had replied that it was part of the carnival, which was a traveling place that had a lot of rides and shows and food. The place sounded fun to Lironax, and he wished that he could go there before it moved again. Imagine his delight when this morning Silas had said that they would be able to go this afternoon, since there was a man he needed to talk to. Lir thought himself very lucky; he really didn't get to go anywhere besides on errands with Silas. And while that usually took him to fun places as well, sometimes places that looked fun got passed by. Not today, though! The Patience child hummed what he thought would be a carnival tune as he was led by Silas through te busy streets.

The first sign that they were getting close was that there was suddenly a lot more people. Not that there hadn't been a lot before, but they had all started going the same way Lironax and Silas were going. A little awed by the number of people, Lir stopped skipping, which was convenient because he soon didn't have enough room to. Silas pulled the small boy closer to him, and the tentacle around his wrist squeezed tighter in return. "Don't go wandering off until I say you can, alright, Lir?" his 'father' asked him seriously, and the little boy nodded back. It would never cross his mind to go exploring without Silas knowing. So when he caught sight of the colorful tent in the distance, he didn't move from his guardian's side, even though he felt extremely excited.

The crowd was more spread out once the pair actually got into the fairgrounds, but there were still enough people to keep Lironax from skipping. He stared openly at all of the stands and colors, and let himself be dragged by Silas, who was looking for a safe place he could leave the child while he went and talked with the soothsayer. It took about ten minutes, but then the unmistakable high-pitched noise of laughing children drew his attention. He hopefully shepherded Lir towards the direction of the noise, and was relieved to see a large play area made specifically for kids of the young variety. He turned to Lir and smiled. "That place look like fun, Lir?" "Uh-huh!" the boy said happily in response. "Alright, you can play there, then. Just be sure to stay there until I get back, okay?" Lironax smiled widely, and nodded again. "Okay, Silas!" Without another word, he rushed off to the playground, Vicky in tow.

Once he reached the playground, Lironax was at a loss of what to do next. There were just so many things! There was a place to color and a place to swing and a place to pet some animals he had never seen before; his head spun at the thought. After considering, the Patience child contented himself with wandering for a little bit, sure that he would find the most fun thing when he saw it. Surprisingly, it didn't take him very long to find it. He rounded a corner only to be faced with a huge moonbounce, filled with children bouncing and giggling and shouting happily. Lir's face lit up; anything that got him airborne was by far the most fun thing. Without a second thought, he switched Vicky to his tentacle so he wouldn't get lost, dutifully piled his shoes and socks near where the other children had left theirs, and clambered into the moonbounce. He jumped, and was delighted at how high he flew. His wing flapped reflexively, but still couldn't keep him up, and he soon fell down. However, that wasn't so bad, because he would just fly right back up! Lironax's laughter soon mingled with that of the other kids, and he began to think that he wouldn't mind waiting for Silas to come back this time. He could happily stay in here for a while.

Ebony was already happily occupied with bouncing around inside of the moonbounce. She was trying - and failing - at touching her toes on the upward jumps, but that wasn't important. The purple lust-child was having FUN.

Since her brother - who was currently out getting food with her other siblings - had anticipated she'd probably like to be extra active that day, he'd dressed the child accordingly. Ebby's small frame was decked out in bright green shorts (she wore white tights underneath to keep her legs warm) and a long sleeved yellow shirt with a daisy on the front. One of the most brightly colored kids in there, Ebony was actually one of the only ones not socializing (which was odd considering how much of a social butterfly she was).

That changed, however, when the little girl noticed another child entering, out of the corner of her eye, that just HAD to be one of her siblings from Sevens! The child had a tentacle akin to those of the lust-spawns mother, J'her, but he had something even more noticeable. Lironax had the red hair of Ebby's dear dear friend Hyacinth. And that, she had to investigate.

"Hihi!" the little girl greeted, bouncing over to the other child and smiling broadly. "I'm Ebony. What's your name?"

Lironax had been concentrating very hard on keeping aloft for as long as possible, or else he would have noticed the purple-skinned Ebony beforehand. However, since that was not the case, he stumbled and practically fell out of the air when the girl addressed him. He landed clumsily and fell against the netted wall of the moonbounce, but he didn't mind since it was soft. It took him a little bit to stand back up again, what with all of the other children bouncing along, but once he did, he smiled brightly at the girl. Predictably, his golden eyes went straight to her wings, which were bright white. If they had been standing on solid ground, he would have reached out to pet them, but here in this unstable world, he contented himself to bounce lightly. There would always be time later.

"Hallo, Ebonee! I'm Lironax, but you can call me Liron. Lironax is a big name to say." His smile widened to match hers. Lir already liked this girl; she was extremely nice. He started mentally then, realizing he had forgotten someone. Reaching out with his tentacle, he showed Vicky to Ebony. "And dis is Vickee. He's my good bear." Once the introductions were done, he bounced uncertainly for a moment before asking the question that always seemed to be in his mind. Silas' obsessive personality must have been starting to rub off on the little boy. "Dose wings are rully pretty, Ebonee. Can you fly wif 'em? I hava wing, too, but I can't fly wif it yet." The wing in question fluttered as it was mentioned.

"Thankies!" Ebony said with a huge smile. He was even as sweet as Hyacinth! "You can call me Ebby if you need. And awwwwwwww, Vicky is cute."

"Not yet. I'm still learning." the child said, softly flapping her little white wings. "Do you come from a big scary place with lotsa techs called Seven of Seven, Liron?" After all, she just had to know if he really was the combo of her mommy and her friend!

Lironax smiled happily when Ebony approved of Vicky, and held him out even further towards the girl. "Fanks, Ebbee! You can hold 'im if you wanna. Just don't drop 'im; he don't like dat vury much." He bounced a little more, holding out his arms to keep his balance. With all of the children jumping around, it was harder than just when one was walking.

Lir nodded when Ebony said she was still learning how to fly. That meant that they were in the same boat. Maybe they could learn together, he thought excitedly. He furrowed his brow at her strange question, and slowed his bouncing down so he could think about it. "I dunno... I can't rully remember anyfing after I started living wif my daddy Silas." He looked down for a short moment, trying to remember the place his new friend had mentioned. It would make sense if he was from there as well; that would explain why both he and Ebony were different from the other children. After a while, he looked back up at the little girl uncertainly. "I fink so... Da name sounds famil-i-aler. What's it like, Ebbee? Asides from scary?"

"I'd love to." the purple girl agreed, taking hold of Vicky and giving him a hug. She could hold him securely as they bounced.

"It's really big and fully of mean techs - there are nice people there too but kids don't meet them when they're there the first time. Just lotsa mean techs who think you're just a project - s'cause we're special. They made us from crossbreeds of Demons and Angels. Do you know anything about that? About what combo you are?"

Lironax was happy to see how carefully and securely Ebony held his beloved teddy bear. Vicky had been his for as long as he could remember, and was something that always made him feel secure no matter how bad the situation might be. However, this bouncy place was happy enough that the little boy could bear to part with it, if only for a little while. Besides, he already trusted Ebony enough to give Vicky to her.

He listened carefully to his new friend's description, furrowing his brow and biting his lip as he jumped. Some parts sounded familiar, especially the 'really big' part. Before he met Silas, he dimly recalled a bunch of spacious rooms, and the uncomfortable sensation of being poked, but nothing else. "I dunno... Bits of it sound right, but I don't rully remember nofing until Silas got me." At the mention of Demons and Angels, Lir looked up at Ebony in surprise. Thanks to overhearing some of his guardian's phone conversations, he had a rough grasp of what those words meant, but there had never been any mention of them existing. Especially him being made by them! "Uh-uh!" he said in response to Ebony's question. "I didn't even know dat dey were real! Do you know what c- combomanation I could be? Should I ask my daddy?"

"I think you might be lust and patience. The only other kids with tentacoos like you have are lust kids - I'm one but I don't have any tentacoos. I'm sure you're other half is patience - I met him, he's really really nice. What's your Daddy like?" the purple girl asked, bouncing a bit and holding the bear up like it was bouncing with her.

"Lust? Wuzzat?" Lironax questioned Ebby, whom he now regarded as the authority on such things. He knew what patience was, having heard Silas describe how he waited so well as 'patience', but lust was a completely new concept. Yet another question that would be asked of Silas when he returned. He laughed lightly when Ebby held up his bear, and started bouncing higher, happy to describe his guardian.

"Silas is rully nice. He's kinda quiet, and spends a lotta time making funny marks in a lotta notebooks, but he always takes me places and plays wif me when he's not working. Our house is filled wif fun things, too. He talks to a lotta people, but not a lotta people come to talk to him. I don't know, why, though. Do you hava daddy, Ebbee? Or do you hava mommy?"

"Issa something that makes people too friendly or somethin. Mommy says I'll understand then I'm bigger." the little girl explained in an offhand manner.

"I have a Mommy, an Uncle, and three big brothers but no Daddy. I like my family though. Mommy doesn't like going places as much but she comes out with me sometimes. My biggest brother Bailey takes me most places. He's really really nice and has lotsa friends."

Lironax cocked his head slightly at Ebony's explanation. Unlike the previous one, this one didn't make any sense whatsoever. Of course, he didn't think that he was the only one who was confused; the purple girl didn't sound like she understood it completely, either. This would need some serious Silas-brand clarification once he returned.

The Patience boy smiled at the sound of Ebony's family; they all sounded really nice. "Wow, dat's a lotta people! I don't have any brovvers or sisters; just me an' my daddy. He doesn't havva lotta friends, eivver." He bounced a bit closer to Ebony and lowered his voice, like he was telling her some world-ending secret. "I don't fink he likes most people, rully. But he goes to talk to dem a lot. Dat's where he is now." Just then, the young boy lost his balance and fell backwards, landing on his bottom and bouncing there happily for a few seconds before standing up and resuming his conversation. "Where's your brovver now, Ebbee? Did he come here to talk tah people, too?"

"My Mommy doesn't like many people eivver - er, either." the child squinched her already closed eyes a bit and shook her head when she corrected herself. She was unintentionally mimicking the other child's speech.

"My brothers are all here today, to ride the rides and such. Sinny and Lu were hungry though, so Bailey took them to get something to eat." Ebby explained with a nod. "I wasn't that hungry and wanted to play so he let me stay here, so long as I promised not to go anywhere."

Lironax nodded, happy to meet another child with such a reclusive parent. All of the name dropping made him a little confused, but he tried not to show and just smiled politely, bouncing and flapping all the while.

"My daddy told me tah stay here, too. I gotta wait here until he gets back. I hope we don't go home like we usually do, dough; all dat shtuff sounds fun!" As he spoke, he heard his stomach grumble. The small boy giggled lightly, a little embarrased. "And I'm kinda hungree, too."

Ebby blinked a few times. "Hm........that does sound like a problem. Well, maybe when he comes back you can ask him to take you for food? Or we can ask him to let us go get some together." she offered with a warm smile.

Lironax smiled brightly at the suggestion, nodding uip and down in time to his bouncing. "Dat's whut I was finking~ And it'd be fun to eat wiff you 'n your bruvvers 'n stuffs!" The idea excited the small boy greatly, and he began to bounce closer to the edge of the cage. looking through the mesh for his father. He was sure he would be excited to meet Ebbee and her family. There were all really nice ( as far as he knew ), not like the mean people who made Silas angry all the time.
