The weekend was something Lore looking for, which when he stopped to think about it, was a bit odd. Back before he ever met Elnara, he couldn't imagine being ever eager to be away from his work, but this was before he ever met Elnara and began living life. Which was why now he was in the portal room with Elnara, getting ready to go.

He held one of the twins, they had been fed and changed, so they should be good for a while.

"Do we have everything?"

Lin poked her head into the portal room, she had convinced her father to let her come along, to stay a few days. Under the defense she needed a week of sanity, that is all she wanted.

She loved Raven, Kin and even talk about your think Quinton, but she needed sanity in her life, and since she couldn't skip school this was close enough.

"I'm coming too! And Dad said yes."

Elnara laughed at Lin. "You always know the first question we're going to ask."

Not that it particularly mattered anymore. Lin was, in Elnara's eyes, an adult and she trusted that she wouldn't do what she wasn't allowed to. She was a good kid.

She turned her attention back to Lore, and Garrick in her arms. "I think we have everything," she nodded. "Diapers, wipes, extra clothes, cool clothes for you, me and them ..."

Lin grinned and shrugged, "Well everyone is use to me going for daily lessons, but staying there is something else."

She entered barefooted into the room dressed as her usual clothes, which she rarely seemed to change.

"Do you need any help?"

"I think we're fine," Lore murmrued.

He carefully held Hana and picked up the bag. Putting the bag over his shoulder.

"I guess we can head through then."

Elnara smiled at Lin. "Thanks for the offer, though," she said warmly.

She and Lore were used to carrying both children around now, though she had to admit this really was the first time they were taking them anywhere major ...

"Ah-bah!" Hana said, pointing at the door that they were standing near.

Elnara giggled and shifted Garrick in her arms. "Byebye," she agreed. She reached for the door handle and pulled the door open for Lin and Lore to lead the way through.

Lin hurried onward not wanting to keep them, since in a way she was a tag along. She felt a bit blinded being in the labyrinth, since it was darker, she had to blink a few times to adjust. She took a deep breath in, it was always good to be here, no matter how much she loved home.

Lore went ahead entering into the dark hallway along side Lin. He turned around to make sure Elnara was right behind him, even though he knew she would always be right behind him if he went ahead.

"Well, what do you think Hana," he murmured to her, "You're going to meet more family."

Elnara hurried after the others, not wanting to be left behind (not that Lore would ever go ahead without her), and closed the door behind herself.

Hana giggled at Lore and twisted around in his arms to look at the walls around them.

It was a short while later when they finally reached the end of the labyrinth, and Elnara once more let Lin go ahead of them - she after all would be going a little faster up the stairs than her or Lore, since she wasn't carrying a child.

"I wonder how long it's been here since the last time we were here," she smiled at Lore over her shoulder.

That had been their wedding ... one year and seven months ago for them, between the two worlds.

Lore had to think about that, that was a good question. It had already been quite a number of weeks since here. Walking up the stairs, he tried to keep track of the weeks but found he wasn't so good at that.

"I'm not sure, but it has to be more than six years."

Lin hurried up the steps, only to pause once she got up all them. She turned and wondered if she should wait, well maybe she should since Elnara and Lore were going to see Atalya.

She looked around to see who was in the hallway.

The guard in the corridor was new (but not young), but though he looked at Lin thoughtfully, he made no move to detain her. He, as well as every other guard in the castle, had been shown images of the only people they were to let wander freely through the castle. He didn't know her name, but he knew her face, and so he made no reaction to her at all.

Elnara nodded. "Has to be," she murmured. "We should ask them to have some sort of counter somewhere so that we can know before we run into people."

She followed Lin out into the hallway and blinked in the sudden brightness. Garrick, who had been just about asleep in her arms, jerked his head away from the light and buried his face in her shoulder.

"If it wouldn't be too much trouble, that would be nice," Lore admitted, "I wonder if that would be possible."

He blinked several times to get the sun spots out of his eyes, his eyes were not at all use to the sudden light.

"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask," he murmured stroking Hana's hair.

She didn't like the sudden light anymore than her brother.

It was always so hard to remember who was who, Lin ticked off the people whom she did not know, which was most of them anyhow. Though she knew she was being watched, which was more use to than before.

"A date counter at the entry?" Lin murmured, "Well.. let's go, maybe we can ask that too."
