THE FOREST FIELD
Thick trees sprout at random places throughout the field, some small while others seem to reach out and touch the ceiling of the stadium. As with ancient trees, some roots are seen being thrust above the ground which makes easy for a pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. The ground is littered with piles of pine needles, leaves, and sticks of all sizes; several tree trunks and rotting logs can be found scattered around as well. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG type attacks.This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

"Hmm... Not such a good field for us," Renekai muttered under her breath. "But we'll pull through, won't we, Chaos?" She smiled at one of her newest pokemon: her absol, Beautiful Chaos.
BC snorted. This was his first battle inside a real stadium, and he felt a little nervous. Something about being indoors made him uncomfortable. But that didn't matter; this was one step closer to his goal of fighting Isamu! Chaos didn't like the look of the trees, but they would have to do.
"Okay, just take your spot over there. We'll do fine!" Renekai pointed to BC's spot on the field.
BC carefully took his place, then crouched, his claws digging into the lush grass. He would win. Losing was unacceptable. This was training for the day that Isamu would fall!

Meeka giggled lightly as she was yipped up and down from riding on Heila. The Houndoom was uncomfortable with having weight pressured on her back, so she yipped and staggered as she ran. Tapping the neck of her Houndoom, Heila pulled to a halt. "Good, Miss Heila!" she praised her Houndoom before rolling off the large canine. "Time for battle!" Meeka croaked as she reared her stance. This should be fun!
Tilting her head, Heila sniffed at the air of the forest. The light tangent of forest air whiffed passed her nose. This area felt so nostalgic. Trotting into the area of the arena, Heila tilted her head and yipped up and down, "Glad to be battling you!" she barked to her opponent. This was going to be her first battle since she evolved.
Meeka giggled again before fixing the scarf around her neck, "Are we ready to get this show on the road?" she called to her opponent with a sheepish smile.

"Let's go! Chaos, use Leer!"
Making no reply to Heila's friendly comment, Chaos stood up straight and stared coldly at the Houndoom. Slowly, he lifted his lips into a cold grin. A growling noise rumbled from deep in his throat, slowly growing in volume.
Renekai was impressed. That would definitely lower Heila's defense!

Tilting her head, Meeka giggled and pointed her finger out towards the Absol. "Miss Heila, use Rock Smash!"
Heila wagged her tail happily and dashed towards Beautiful Chaos. A large boulder broke from the ground in back of her and simultaneously followed in Heila's footsteps. Heila barked before jumping up and landing upon the large slab of rock. She barked again before jumping off and sending the boulder flying in Chaos' general direction.

"Watch out, Chaos!" Renekai shouted.
Chaos's instincts of battle took over and, instead of dodging, he countered with an attack of his own. BC leaped forward and bit the flying rocks straight out of the air, taking some damage, then hurling them right back at Heila with a Rock Slide.
Renekai was too stunned to move or say anything. Those were amazing reflexes!
Chaos winced and felt his bruised mouth. Luckily, none of his strong teeth had been broken. Still, he'd have a sore jaw for a while... Note to self: don't bite rocks if you can avoid it.
((Super effective + Heila's lowered defense = 200 damage if it is a hit))

Heila shook herself. Owie! That quite hurt! She yipped up and down though. She was not done in yet! Growling, she barked happily.
Meeka clapped her hands together and pushed out towards an invisible force in front of her. "Miss Heila, use Reveral!"
Rearing herself, Heila twisted around in a almost statuesque twirl. She spun towards Absol in this manner, arching her horns out in the process.

Before Renekai could say a word, Chaos leaped to one side. A horn tore at his left haunch, leaving a shallow wound, but it was nothing serious. Chaos growled, but waited for his trainer's command.
"Counter!"
Chaos galloped towards Heila and, growling, attempted to skewer her with his own horn. He. Would. Not. Lose. Chaos's only thought was of how the battle would turn out with Isamu. Would this attack be good enough for a fight with Isamu? Making a mental note, Chaos decided that his trainer would not be present when he fought his one great enemy.

Meeka widened her eyes lightly. Strong Absol was strong! Meeka bounced up and down as she called, "Use Counter yourself, Miss Heila!"
Feeling the slash of the Absol's horn upon her snout, Heila retracted back. That hurt! How mean! She ruffed in anger at the Absol. Meanie, meanie, meanie face! Heila stamped her front foots forward as she ran towards the Absol. Time for a taste of his own medicine!

"Counter her Counter that Countered your Counter!" Renekai ordered, unable to resist the opportunity for the joke.
Without waiting to work out what Renekai had said, Chaos tossed his head so that his horn caught Heila's. While she was temporarily immobilized, he raked at her chest with his claws.

Meeka blinked from the attack ordered from her opponent. It took her a while to actually get the joke within the joke. If it was a joke being implied. She giggled when she got the joke. What a joke! She would have to tell her father that joke later by mail later! Oh that's right! She shouldn't be laughing about jokes right now! She should be ordering attacks. "Uh...!" Meeka stammered as she kept remembering the joke. "Miss Heila, use err...Counter?" she said, not implying it jokingly.
Heila jumped from the scratches. "Meanie FACE! MEANIE FACE!" she squealed as she was torn to bits by the Absol's claws. That hurt too! Heila pouted as she ricocheted herself up and tried to make an attempt to jump on B.Chaos.

"Rock Slide!" Renekai shouted. Enough jokes.
Chaos rolled to make Heila fall off when she jumped on him, then tore up a hunk of dirt and rock with his claws. He quickly bent down and flung the turf towards Heila, growling as he did so.

Heila shook herself when she was hit with the dirt and rocks. Goodness, she couldn't take this anymore. She fell towards he floor, breathing heavily. OVER GAME. Er, GAME OVER.
Meeka ran out towards the field and placed her hand upon the neck of Heila. Pulse was stable, heartbeat lowering. Mhm, she would be alright. "Good battle!" she said as she tried to search for Heila's pokeball. It was somewhere...

Renekai smiled. That was another win for her! Excellent!
Chaos coolly returned to the trainer's podium. That had gone rather well... He could only hope that his battle with Isamu would go just as smoothly. But that would be hoping for a little too much, he thought.
