Okay. First of all, this is NOT about tuning, but you may see that word in there.
Anyways, I saw that my Piccolo was out of tune, so I used my cleaning rod, and adjusted the cork.. But when I did, I noticed the crown doesn't tighten! I held the head joint and twisted the crown, I noticed that the cork was moving too, and I held my Flute's head joint, and twisted the crown, the cork didn't move.
Is there a problem?
Thanks

I would suggest you remove the crown completely, because there might be something blocking it, or you just ran out of screw. if that is the case, then try pulling out your head piece when you put it together. if it is sharp, it needs to be pulled out, and if it is flat it needs to be pushed in. i have been playing piccolo for a long time, and i have never played with it completely in. just grab a tuner and mess around with it until you have it in tune, and then look at how far you are pulled out and put it there every time. after a while you will put it there automatically. BTY. I know you said it wasnt about tuning, but if the second scenario was what was happening then the tuning tip will come in handy. if you need any more help or dont understand, feel free to pm me

If the headcork has started turning, it needs to be replaced. Time for a trip to the repair shop.
