Stretched out on a rock, Kingu soaked up the warmth of the sun. Well, he did it every day just walking, but this was different. It was just a lazy moment. It was all he could do to stay COOL here. Up north, it wasn't nearly as warm. It was at least COLD by now! As a fly landed on his belly, he wiggled, trying to get it to move. Pesky little insect...

When she laid eyes on Kingu, Huan dropped down and stalked over. After a moment of calculation, the cub jumped up, flopping across his belly. "HI Mister Kingu!" She grinned wide, tail curling as she started to scratch his side. The effect was simple enough - She was tickling him.

Letting out an 'oof', Kingu looked down at the cub. He frowned, reaching down and patting ehr head. "Huan, I was trying to nap..." Rolling over, he knocked her off, before standing and shaking his fur out. "I thought you were watching the fish in the watering hole. What happened with that, hm?" He looked down at her, smiling in a kind and gentle way.

As she tumbled, the cub giggled. Looking at the male upside down, she grinned wide and pointed. "I met a lady!" Rolling over, she went over and wove between the legs of a brown lioness, before looking at Kingu. "She has no home! Can we take her with us?" The grin that lit her face was utter and pure joy, unbridled and innoccent in her youth.

Watching the cub, Kingu was immediately confronted with the fact Huan had no qualms talking to strange lions. Looking the lioness over, he took in every scar, wondering just what she'd been up to. Slowly he walked over, eyeing the lioness. "No home...?" Did she ever have a home? He looked down, motioning Huan over. "Huan, come here for a moment." He looked up at the lioness, ears flicking. "Just... One moment, please..."

Bouncing over, Huan wiggled around between Kingu's forelegs, smiling up at him. "She's really nice, Mister Kingu!" When she finally sat down, she wouldn't even stay fully still, wiggling and brimming with energy. "And she's pretty! Not pretty like Momma, but she's still really really pretty!" It wasn't very descriptive, but then... She was still young.

Sitting aside, Kingu leaned down to Huan's level. "Huan, I know you like to meet new lions... I know you're social.. But... You can't go up to EVERY lion you meet and put a flower in their hair." At the confused look, he made a motion. "It's a human expression... But my point is... They're not all FRIENDLY lions. If you go up to the wrong one, they might hurt you, or worse, KILL you."

Huan's face fell, ears down, as she stared at Kingu. Other lions could hurt her...? She looked down at her paws, face downcast. "Okay, Mister Kingu... I'll be more careful..." After a moment, she looked up at him. "What's a hoo-mon?" She'd heard him mention them now and then, but he'd never explained them. Or these 'hoo-mon expressions' he kept spitting out.

Chuckling, Kingu ruffled the tuft of mane on her head. "It's human, and I'll explain later, okay?" Nudging her with his paw, he pushed her to go play. "Now go find your sister... I'm sure you two can have some fun finding some adventure." As the cub ran off, he looked back at Tziporah. "Now, you..."

The cub giggled, running off through the grass. There were many distractions, and she had soon found one. Following the trickle of water to the watering hole, she was soon splashing at the miniature delta. A movement in the grass had her attention, and she soon ran off again. Kingu's warning was almost completely forgotten in her fun, but it remained at the back of her mind, not about to leave.
