Eden yawned, just stirring from her nap in the noon day light. Her eyes fluttered open, blurry and pained by the brightness that surrounded her. The shadow of the big pine had shifted since the beginning of her rest. She yawned a second time while she stretched, awakening the rest of her numbed limbs from there stupor. Her tail flicked as she stood, shaking the loose dirt from her pelt. She wondered how long she'd been out, the shadow had been right on top of her and now it was on the complete other side of the tree. "Huh.." she murmured and trotted over and dipped her head down to drink from the stream.

"No..."
There seemed to be a murmured conversation further down the stream, where the water was shallow and trees hung low, with their great branches sweeping towards the earth.
"No... It isn't quite like that, you see." The voice was soft and of mild temperament and the owner was still young. The light brown helix, in all his feathered glory, was on his haunches and gazing out over the drifting stream.
"No... He didn't mean it quite that way. It's irrelevant, anyways. I don't have ill feelings and I wish you wouldn't, either." He closed his light, emerald eye, but his milky one was still parted as he carried on a rather one sided (or so it seemed) conversation.

Eden hadn't caught anything coherent over the sound of the rush water but her eyes did drift to the brightly color helix seemingly talking to either something she couldn't or..erm.. well nothing. "Odd.." she murmured and cocked her head, some of the water catching some of her cheek fur. She lifted her head from the water, curious eyes probing the helix. She caught the glisten of his beads of the sun than shone on his feathers. "Oooh.. heh." she smirked and examined the rest of him. Two bracelets on his tail..a little brown bag, two leather bracelets. "Where did he get all this stuff?" she questioned her self before slowly trotting in his direction.

The odd, decorated helix seemed almost completely oblivious to the female that was slowly making her own way along the bank of the stream. He seemed to be focusing intently on...
Talking to himself?
"No, no, no. It's like I said, you remember? He had a great deal of pressure on himself, anyways. Don't you take that to heart."
His weighted ears twitched suddenly as he caught a sound over that of his own conversation. He spared a sideways glance at the approaching adolescent. Her coat was dark and streaked with red and he couldn't help but notice the slightest of gestures that she made as she trotted towards him. She held herself proudly and she was probably bound for greatness... Within the bounds of this territory, anyways.
"Excuse me, please." He turned his full attention back towards the stream, then rose from his haunches to face the female.

She stopped about a foot from him, a smile smell smeared on her muzzle. "Hello, I haven't seen you before.." she stated, cocking her head again, the water on her cheek already drying. "I'm Eden, are you from here?" she asked in the a polite tone, her appraising his jewelery, markings, and most of all feathers.
She wasn't going to straight out ask who he was talking to but she did glances around, looking for something that he might of been talking to. She didn't see a thing.. hmm..

"Eden is such a lovely name..." He mused quietly for a second, then hastily caught up with her question politely.
"Err, no, not really. I'm from the Southern territory, but I'm currently wandering, you see. My name is Jukka." The adolescent's tail wagged slightly as he observed Eden with his emerald eye, but quickly slowed pace as he caught her actions.
Clearly she had seen or heard something unusual and he had half a mind to clam up and leave, uless she prove to be a little more open minded than some of his former associates.

Eden nodded once, smiling still. She noted his shift in the air and saw he'd become uneasy. He had been talking to someone... who? She quickly added onto what he was saying. "That you very much, Jukka." She giggled and probably would of been blushing if her dark fur hadn't been hiding her skin underneath. "I'm from the West, actually. I've moved over here when me and my brother's lost our parents."
Her smiled slipped for an instance but then pepped back up. "We've started a pack, so we're no longer lonely. Your welcome to stop by once in a while and have dinner, or maybe a hunt." Eden didn't like being unfriendly and left her pack open most of the time. If the person she was talking too seemed trustworthy, at least. She tilted her head to the other side, appraising him once again.

"The West... I have yet to be that way, but I do like to wander. Perhaps I will end up that way eventually." His voice trailed off for a moment as he gathered his thoughts, then offered her a sympathetic smile. "And I offer my deepest condolences to you. Your parents are proud of you and your brothers. Strength runs in the family."
He felt her eyes studying him and he felt a mix of emotion, mostly embarrassment... But there was a hint of curiosity, too. She had a pack, though she was young, and she offered to let him visit. That was an offer he might take her up on. She didn't seem angry, which was the emotion he was used to receiving from the pack he had fled from not so long ago.

Her mind went slack. "..Did you know my mom and dad?" The words slipped from her mouth more quickly than she could stop them. Of course he hadn't. He just said he'd never been to the west.... "Um.. sorry, my apologies. That was rude." quickly, she shifted the conversation. "So how about meeting my family, hm?" she stood to her feet, smiling, having forced herself to. "You must be starving, hm?"

"Nothing to worry your head about, miss." He replied softly and with a nod. He seemed content enough and he didn't appear to be offended. Her offer caused his tail to shift slightly and a genuine smile slid easily across his maw.
"A meeting? That would be lovely. I would like yo meet your family and a bite to eat would certainly have me feeling nice. I'm afraid to say that I haven't eaten quite some time. Prey is much more abundant here. I like it. And the water is lovely..."
He shifted slightly on his paws and glanced downwards with slight embarrassment.

"Well since my brothers and pack mates are sorta... selfish with their food, we'll eat before you meet them." she nodded with a smile. "Anything you in the mood for, specifically?" she smiled, beaming.
This was turning out well. He seemed nice enough, surely Eros, Eris, and Ravenfall would feel the same way. Hopefully....

"I'm easy as dusk." He replied with a slight grin. He certainly wasn't hard to please. The sheer fact that she was showing him so much kindness would cause him to wish to keep from being a burden and he certainly wouldn't voice any discomforts. His ring laden tail shifted again in a slight wag and he tilted his head to one side as he gazed back towards the water.
"What prey is most abundant here? Meat is meat and food is lovely... Any... Rabbit?"

Eden giggled quietly and nodded. "Of course. There's a large rabbit family not far from here." she added, nodding towards the trees. They're quite a load of fun catching." she grinned mischievously. "Especially with two people, hehe..."
With that she quickly stood to her feet. "Ready?" her smiled broadened as her excitement rose.
