Skuld was charging through the woods. She was agitated. She hadn't been able to find a flippin deer to save her life right now...and thats what she needed it for. She had been looking for something to eat for weeks and so far nothing save a few mice or squirrels. And with the amount she moved and traveled it wasn't enough. She stopped by a river to get a drink, and look for some fish. She groaned seeing nothing but rocks and dirt in the water. She took a drink and stood there next to the water panting...why couldn't she find a deer? She growled and then walked into the forest again. Going deeper and deeper hoping to find some deer hiding there. Or at least a large rabbit. She hoped that she would find some food soon...it was becoming harder for her to move. She was slower and her legs were starting to feel like lead. With a groan she sat down under a tree to rest for a few minuets, hoping that she might hear or see something while she waited.

The deer dashed to left behind a tree hoping to get him off his trail. Feeble, dull creatures deer. Though they did taste quite nice. Kayle charged after the doe his large paws crushing the undergrowth as he flashed by. The scent of fear, the sound of panicked hooves, the intoxicating smell. He could taste her already, the sweet red meet with blood dripping down its side..yet..it would not be the sweetest taste. His eyebrows furrowed as he thought of how his hunger could not be sated by this mere deer. Only revenge would satisfy him, and at the moment he did not have the means to collect it. He pulled himself from his own thoughts to acknowledge the presence of another dragonfly. It wasn't too close...but close enough to sense his meal. He looked ahead and saw a clearing. Perfect. Once he reached the clearing he flung himself into the air at the deer and crashed down upon it, his teeth at its throat. It thrashed pathetically before he snapped its neck with a quick strong jerk of his jaw. Now...this other dragonfly could challenge him..if they dared.

Skuld's ears perked as she heard a chase in the forest. She turned her head and smelled fear, and sweat, both Dragonfly and deer. Someone had found something to eat and was going to keep going on while Skuld sat here...weak and starved. Why was she having such a hard time hunting right now? She had never had issues with it before...She watched and hoped that it would be a small dragonfly she could over take and steal its deer from. She stood up on shaky legs and watched, waiting to see it. She tried to hold her self up and look mean, as she readied her snarl. Though the tired and starved look was visible in her eyes. "I will...get food...from this..."

Kayle stood in a defensive position over his kill and growled loudly. He still couldn't see this new dragonfly but he could hear it coming closer. His tail twitched with agitation and impatience. They should have challenged him by now. They were either very scared or very inexperienced. He would take either. The last thing he wanted at the moment was a showdown with another elder. He was hungry and he would rather eat sooner than later. "Come out and face me coward! I am waiting...and I don't like waiting one bit."

Skuld heard the other dragonfly speak to her, though he didn't know who it was really. She snarled at this males impatience and walked through the bushes. Her shoulder wings were dim and lifeless from her weakened state but she didn't let that bother her. She snarled and took a defencive stance towards the elder. She hadn't been expecting an elder but she didn't care. Her mother was one so she didn't have a problem with fighting an elder. "Is this better. Now...hand over that deer and i wont...tear you ap...apart." she said between gasping breaths. She snarled at him again, drool coming out of her mouth as she smelled the deers blood, her back legs resting against the tree next to her so she didn't fall over.

Kayle heard the other dragonfly's snarl and the fur on his back bristled as he snarled viciously back, his white sharp teeth gleaming. His eyes narrowed as he saw a female adult begin to walk...rather pitifully out of the bushes. She looked as if she could roll over and die any minute...not that he cared...but it was rather intriguing that she would challenge him so in such a state. He began to laugh darkly but his stance did not change. "Your a pathetic excuse for our kind...you know that. Why don't you just go shrivel up and die so that I can eat my meal in peace."

Skuld snarled. "Cause i'm not a weakling who just gives up and dies! My mother wouldn't approve of it so i'd never do it! Now shut up and give me that damn deer!" she said harshly before gasping as she took a step forward and braced her self, her tail raised high brandishing her spiked tail. "I might be weak...right now but i'll fight...you for that deer!" She said with a snarl as she eyed the elder. She knew she wasn't a sorry excuse of her kind...well she might be right now...but in good condition she wasn't and knew she could stand up against this elder, but right now she was just hoping that he would give her the stupid deer.

Kayle's eyes turned fierce as the female mentioned her mother. "Quoting dear mommy are we? Why don't you run..or crawl off and see if she will give you her deer. If your not strong and intelligent enough to hunt for yourself then nature is simply weeding out the weak..." He noticed her new stance and looked over her tail...impressive...but she was still sickly and pathetic. Not like she could stand up to his elder power anyway...but..she was rather tough..a fighter..like he was...too bad she had let herself fall into coddled hands. A mothers hands.

Skuld growled, her anger flaring even in her weak state. Her legs heated up, burning the grass a little around them. "I haven't talked to my mom in a long time! I just would never disappoint her. Shes more of an elder then you! And i can be just as powerful as she is! Now," she paused to take a deep breath, "Give me the stupid deer!" She said as she took another step forward, burning more grass with her feet, though very slowly from her low energy.

"Haven't seen her in a long time?! Do you think that makes any difference you B***h! I can appreciate your little trick dear but you are far too weak to even attempt to fight me..and I don't waste my time defeating defenseless females! Especially ones with such terrible manners. Whats wrong with you female...can't simply ask for a leg...a gift of mercy...you have to have the whole thing or death!?" He was infuriated. Who the hell did she think she was!? he didn't care who her mother was...he wasn't handing over the deer he had worked his rear off hunting and tracking down. If this little waste of space wanted some she should have asked with the proper respect he deserved.

Skuld snarled. This was getting her no where, and she was just getting weaker by the moment. She lowered her tail and raised her nose. "I'm not going to beg. I'm not so low as to beg from someone like you." she said. She turned away from him and started to leave. "I'll let you be if you wont give me it." she said as she started to stagger off. As she turned around and headed back into the trees she had to rest against the tree again. She snapped up some grass and tried to focus her self but the forest spun around and she fell to the ground as she passed out. Her last thought being 'I cant believe this happened infront of this stupid elder...'

Kayle fumed as the female began to walk away. Stubborn...stupid...lack of common sense female...Why did they all have to be so independent!? Akana was never like that..well not never...she had been independent but once... and that was his fault for shaming himself in front of her. He was about to turn around and start his meal when he heard a loud thud. He turned back and half sighed half growled. She had passed out on the edge of the clearing...great. Now what was he supposed to do? He could leave her there...sure...but..but what would Akana have done..have begged him to do? He grumbled and padded off to a small pond were he filled a leaf with water and then took it back to slash on the females face. "For crying out loud will you just ask for a piece of the god damn deer?!"

Skuld shook as the water was thrown on her and she snarled as she looked up at him and he told her to ask for some meat. She closed her eyes and growled. "I'll...never..." she coughed and sighed, her stomach gripped in pain from the hunger. "Please can i have some...?"she said softly as she closed her eyes and sighed. She was too weak to keep putting it off, she needed to eat something and he was going to give her some of it, cause she didn't need it all, she just didn't like asking nicely. She kept her eyes closed, not wanting to see his face as he won and she gave in. She sat up a little as she waited for him to come back, she felt horrid and knew that her parents, and her sister Sol would never let her live this down for asking for help cause she was too weak now...she could never tell them about this.

Kayle rolled his eyes at the pathetic sight in front of him. Why couldn't she have just done that in the first place instead of challenging him? Women were so infuriating. "Was that really all that hard? I'm going to take you over there and no b******g."He reached down with his long neck and grasped her scuff only tight enough to be able to carry her without dropping her half way. Being a "Mother" of five he was quite gentle from experience and couldn't even really tell there was extra weight. He set her down near one of the legs and walked over to the other side of the deer."I really should have just let you die."

Skuld snarled as he talked. She didn't want to ask for help. And this elder was making her situation worse....she felt horrible for not being able to catch her own food and for letting herself get this far along with out eating something. She snarled even louder when he picked her up by her scruff and she wiggled a little before he set her down near the deer. She looked at him as he said he should have let her die. She was going to say something back but she turned away feeling horrid and weak. She ripped a chunk out of the deer and ate it happily, feeling the blood in her mouth it run down her throat. She swallowed it and ripped another part off and ate it happily. She couldn't talk to him any more right now. She felt bad for bringing her problems down on this elder, he might be mean but he was nice enough. She kept her eyes down as she ate the leg of deer hoping that he wouldn't just get madder at her. She would deal with him later if she felt the need to.
